Under 21's, not back up players.
Several players played well if you cared to watch the actual match.
Haugaard was however, wank

It 100% needs moving. Give them the new corner, and the buffer of where our current lot are. You then move all of our fans across, thus creating a much better atmosphere all round.
It's not hard to police at all, 2 lines of stewards and a few railings, nothing is going to happen.
Family part could be basically moved to the block by the tunnel.
Simple really.

3 i'd say.
Shame really, as Clucas looked great on the left side. He'll be shuffled inside now and McClean will be out wide instead

Watched it over and over, and it's not intentional at all. He's ran over, got the ball and his momentum carried him through, unfortunately onto Sloths leg. I guess it's a red as its reckless, but no way was it deliberate.
Fact is, soon as he was sent off, the ugly fucker got back up and carried on. His reaction was nothing short of embarrassing.

Clucas was fantastic.
Berahino was fantastic
Williams was fantastic
Allen was fantastic
Martina was fantastic
Pieters was fantastic
Ince was fantastic
Woods was fantastic
As a team performance goes it was superb.
It simply has to be season defining, we need to go to Reading get 3 points and beat Ipswich in our next home game, then over Christmas, anything can happen.

Can anyone find out the system Wolves had him in? He was lethal for them, and so was Saido once upon a time.

I do think Williams is the weak link defensively, but he can pass a ball at least.
Ryan is a legend, but for me he doesn't get back in the starting line up. Ash & Bruno have started to form a decent enough partnership (stats prove that). That said, in January i'd be asking Sir Pete to get the transfer dong out and get a center half.

They didn't create much though? They had a couple of opportunities on the back of inept defending by Williams.
They did outplay us but once they got the goal it was all Stoke
Don't know why it takes us to go a goal down before we start playing
Why did Cuco go off? I missed that.

Jack must be desperate to get out, which is odd as he's pretty much come out and said he wants to help us get back to the Prem ASAP? Changing agent is a huge statement. So, looks like we'll be after a new keeper in January. At the same time, I can't see us getting much more than 20 million for him. 12 months ago we were talking at least double that! Crazy what 12 months can do. He isn't worth 40 million bud. Sorry. Must have missed the bit where I said he was worth 40 million now?

Jese - After a couple of games it was obvious why he's failed everywhere. He's basically a monumental C U N T of a human being.
Ryan Shotton - Terrible footballer, and once saw him in town acting like a billy big bollocks with lines like "do you know who i am?".
Shola Ameobi - Waste of a loan fee, and he was absolutely garbage in the process.

It's a sensitive subject, but i'll be honest, I've stopped doing it now. Every time the claps start, there's people asking "whats this for?" and someone will say "it's for that bloke that died" - or "its for the boy who died" etc. I totally understand that it's a nice gesture and who are we to say you can't clap someone? but in my opinion, those who pass should be remembered like they are every year, on the big screen, on the last game of the year. That's the best way, where their picture can be put up on the big screen, all the fans can give EVERYONE a round of applause and we remember those that we have lost. It seems social media is the biggest cause of these types of things. Where a fan page ( S L & P / Bear Pit / others) share a post or promote the friends / families of said person who has passed and this round of applause on X minutes should be done. It's a trend that probably wont stop, but it does need to really. This. I gave a quick 10 seconds of applause on the 34th minute and got confused because I was sure we clapped on the 34th minute vs Blackburn. But literally everyone around asks ‘what’s this for?’ Or ‘who are we clapping now?’ And ‘who’s dead this time?’ Agree it’s a nice enough tribute but it’s losing meaning now Couldn't help but chuckle at that "whos dead now?" i've heard that once or twice. Shouldn't laugh really!

Williams has been shaky agreed, but he can play. Good on the ball.
I'm happy we won't have to endure Shawcross's monumentally slow play and pitching wedges to nobody up top.
Get your money on Bojan to score anytime!! OLE OLE OLE Oleeee

I understand what Rowett is saying, but he'd be extremely silly to leave Bojan on the bench.
McClean is available, that's nice for him. He did absolutely nothing other than run around when he was fit, so there's just no way he gets back in straight away.
The team should in my opinion be this
Butland Martina Williams Bruno Pieters
Woods Etebo Ince Bojan
Afobe Berahino
Woods and Etebo in the middle with Woods a little deeper obviously.
Bojan left side of a diamond, Ince right side of the diamond.
Saido and Afobe up front pressing.

Not a prayer will Coates get rid of Rowett. We paid like 3 million quid for the bloke!
Overall I like him and think given time, patience and backing we've got a hell of a manager on our hands.
Everyone should show abit more faith in Gary. He's certainly not having us play dull football, we're dominating teams now we've got what looks a near enough settled formation and team.
Sort the defence out and we're going to be storming up the league. Don't worry!

Have a word with yourselves. Rowett in. And to stay in. Changing a manager after little more what, 10 games in charge? It's not fantasy football, or the fucking okey cokey. ALL managers need time to A. Get their own team and B. Put his stamp on said team. A has more or less happened and B. Is a work in progress. We've seen glimmers and we've seen alot of things we need to improve on.. Which will happen. A new manager would do the square route of fuck all. Bloody hell, just how long would you let this carry on for? You sir are the one sounding completely unhinged Let what carry on for? It's a work in progress. Tonight he threw in a few youngsters.. Does it effect our league position? Nope. Is there another game Saturday? Yep. What if we win that comfortably? Do you all think "oh hang on a minute maybe we've turned a corner?" Premier League has turned a large part of our "fans" into fucking idiots. It really has.

To be honest, my advice would be just leave it as it is.
They've sold out, home ends will be pretty full, atmosphere will most likely be hostile and that's what it's all about.
There isn't going to be any trouble in the ground. Despite the rumours.

Said it several times, we just have to be patient. The team, finding the right formation and personnel.. it will take a bit of time.
As well as the obvious changes (players) that have taken place, the culture in the club from the last 12-18 months was essentially, losing and disappointment week in week out, which has a detrimental effect on mindsets and confidence.
Still now, you see players that have been here are scared to do things, pass, run with the ball or attack, and revert to sorts and just lump the ball forward or miss place the passes. The confidence thing can literally only get better, we've been at rock bottom for a long time, and thats why it was so important to get players that are hungry to succeed on the pitch...
The new lads, Ince, Afobe, Etebo and especially Woods have breathed life into us on the pitch! and until they REALLY click and the squad settles down and over the weeks / months the team bonding etc, i dont think we'll see the best of us until January time.
Who gives a flying fcuk if Leeds look decent, or West Brom look good. We're not even past the 10 games point yet. We're a little run away from the playoffs, and in all honesty, if you get established in that top 10 by November / December time, you know we'll be in with a shout of playoffs at absolute worst.
If this team gels and gets better (like i'm convinced we will!), all the fears the other clubs and fans had before the season started about us will become a reality in the home run of the season.

What do you expect? Butland was clearly instructed not to rush / boot long. He took his time and played it safe.
Yet we've got some imbeciles in the crowd which have to abuse him and cheer ironically. I'm surprised he didn't turn round and give everyone the V's and tell them to shut up / stop moaning so much!
The fans need to calm down a little bit, I know we were all hoping / expecting to steam roll this league but it's not going to happen. There's a big disconnect between the players and fans, and that's down to a few things, which will only get better if the players give 100% and win matches.
I'm praying Rowett has his team now and we can start to all pull in the same direction, and when we do the fans moaning at certain players and ironic jeering will stop. Remember the promotion season and first couple in the Premier league? There was non of this, we were literally the 12th man.

On the subject of Radio Stoke, I was away on holiday for the West brom game, had my 'TUNE IN' radio app downloaded and ready to go to listen to the match by the pool... Just about to kick off and it cuts off and says its some kind of maintenance / temporary work going on and I couldn't listen to it.
I was like, what the fu**? Then I realised, they mustn't allow broadcasting live games on certain platforms. Any idea why?
I just ended up switching over to Signal 2 and I listened to their coverage, which actually surprised me, it was half decent!
But why on earth would the BBC not allow commentary be broadcast in a different country or online? I'm genuinely bemused! You can listen to the actual station fine right up until kick off, then bang it goes.

Signs of a decent team if you play badly and win.
We grew as we went. Confidence is still an issue but Woods is certainly the heartbeat of this team and for me he's essentially the one that will be the difference.
We looked much better with 2 up top. I think id go for a diamond midfield 4 on Saturday. Woods Allen Etebo Ince.
Diouf was terrible (although played out of position).
3 points, bit more belief to move the ball faster and press with 2 up top. Give Woods the ball and release Etebo and Ince to open teams up.

I think it's hilarious. The man is an absolute clown and it probably explains a lot of our form in the last 12 months or so of his tenure. He resorted to reading fans views on players, tactics, subs, himself... Just wow. If this doesn't make some kind of national news and Hughes doesn't get asked about it soon i'd be surprised. I get that SOME staff related to the club would read / monitor the Oatcake in some form, but for a full time manager, being paid untold amounts of money, in charge of players and a team in a multi million pound league, to read the fans message board and essentially being obsessed by it. Is not just borederline embarrassing, it's completely laughable. Of course the owners, staff, managers, players read The Oatcake, what in heavens name is wrong with that? Are you kidding me? You're happy for the manager of Stoke City Football club to be 'addicted' to reading the Oatcake? Do you think Pep, Jose, Wenger et al read fanzines of their clubs and take in what fans are saying? No, they have their own mind and manage the team in the way they should... i.e when they got their coaching badges and management courses and what they learn over the years of being in the game. Yet the complete and utter moron we had in charge, decided to read the Oatcake. I can almost guarantee everything he read, he would have taken in / put into his thoughts for selections, tactics, set ups. I bet he was addicted because he lost faith in his own ability, doubted himself and his methods. Do you remember how many times he changed his selection, his formations, his philosophy... ?!??!! It all makes sense now.

"The fans here sometimes demand you bang it long and chase after it" His now infamous speech after the West Ham home game a few years ago. Yeah, cheers Marchy. So, so glad the clown is out of our club. No matter what he claims, or his bum boy Savage says, if Hughes had stayed, he'd have taken us down. He's a total fraud and i'm gutted to have been taken in by him in the first 2 seasons. He simply used Tony Pulis's squad, slowly but surely dismantled it and once he had, it went completely tits up. He couldn't manage the squad himself so he resorted to reading, the Oatcake Fanzine to presumably get ideas on what fans wanted / who he should play etc etc. As I said above, he's a total fraud. Southampton will find him out much faster than we did...
