He’s so slow getting rid of the ball, and the avalanche of back passes first 20 minutes deserved all the abuse they got.

Reading into nothing. He's more than likely doing what the manager has told him to do, so getting on his back was pointless. Came over at the end and gave us a big smile & wave, touched the badge

Don't blame him, the quicker he releases it the quicker it comes back. With having everyone back its normally one player who gets out and then he has numerous opposition players around him. He gestured to moansat not releasing it, he laughed at the jeers at throwing quick to Ince. Then at the end of the game he blew a kiss to the boothen, fans need to stop being precious about players reacting.

Some of the criticism he was getting from fans for not releasing the ball quickly enough was embarrassing. The ironic cheers when he did throw the ball out (after making a decent save) was out of order in my opinion.
The whole atmosphere first half was extremely edgy and nervous in the stands tonight for some reason. It felt like some folk were looking for reasons to slate certain players.

He's not happy with the fans, well I'm about as happy with his kicking. What's happened? Even before the game his kicking was as bad as I've ever seen any keeper. His confidence is shot, he stands there waving his arms about when there's options(why I thought) until he tried releasing a quick call with a kick and the ball went way off.

As mentioned above - the outball was on several times and could've been released.
He's clearly been told not to though.

Stoke fans moan when Ryan plays the ball long.
The same Stoke fans moan when we keep possession.
If I were one of our players, I wouldn't pay any attention to us.

He was not happy at all with the Boothen End in the 1st half was he🤔His gesturing was there for all to see He was also the first player to make his way to the Boothen End at full time and you could see just how relieved he was we got the 3 points, like everyone else. He’s come in for some deserved criticism like the rest of the team of late but this is something of nothing.

Before the game his kicking was accurate and I said to my mate I hope he does that in the game. We discussed how he doesn’t release it quick too. Ince was screaming for it on a couple of occasions but in fairness he was the furthest forward so taking a low percentage risk on retaining possession. Margins really!

Will be a great player for us.

The lad in front of me was ripping on him the whole game. Sarcastically commending him for passing to a player in red and white (But he's a fucking moron). And the slightly more reasonable blokes behind were ripping on peiters, allen and diouf constantly regardless of how well they were doing. Thought it was really unjustified.

Thick fuckers aren’t they The goal came from us playing on the left and when we switched it to the right instead of launching it into the box the groans were about to start then bang it’s in the back of the net.....a fantastic goal It’s the same when we hang onto possession trying to draw them out the daft fuckers start groaning and demand it gets launched up field then the second we do that and give it away they start booing Like I said....thick fuckers

Those behind me were moaning at pieters after his first touch of the ball and he went on to have an excellent game. Jack as a target for the boo boys is just odd. Until his excellent throw out to ince he was absolutely right not to release it on the other occasions. We know how good he is. We need to play our part in helping him recover his confidence and get back to his absolute best.

Straight over to the Boothen at the end of the match to applaud and hold his hands up with a big smile on his face and was well acknowledged by the Boothen.
Can understand his frustration if he’s being told to play out from the back rather than release us quickly and with his long kicking as wobbly as it is I can see why he would rather go short!

There are times when he could release the bal more quickly though. The Brentford keeper did it on several occasions and seconds later they were threatening our goal

He was not happy at all with the Boothen End in the 1st half was he🤔His gesturing was there for all to see He was right to be pissed off. Absolutely ridiculous how people were moaning and groaning after only 15 mins. People groaned when we were passing it across the back. They then groaned when BMI played a poor long ball forward. Swansea's tactics were perfect. They saw how we played against Sheffield Wednesday and chose to crowd out the midfield which made it hard for us to see any meaningful openings. Everyone needs to chill out a bit. We'll come good.

He’s probably happy that he hasn’t had to pick the ball out of the net for once. A clean sheet to keepers is like scoring a hatrick for strikers and then getting home to find Miss World lying on your bed.

Couldnt agree more and it makes players do stuff they wouldn’t normally do or don’t want to do. Shall I make this simple pass and risk getting abuse or aimlessly hoof the ball back to their goalkeeper?

Everyone needs to chill out a bit. We'll come good. Spot on they had a young, fresh mobile team and set up to stop Woods and Etebo playing. We are trying to develop a style that involves playing out from the back into our quality players in central midfield and it will take time. But to abandon it after 15 minutes would have been bonkers. Its a long time since I have seen us trying to slide passes in behind the opposition back 4 and it does feel as though we have some real attacking potential when it all clicks. We are a work in progress and over time we may be able to replace Allen with a more attacking player, add a quicker centre back and buy a genuine wide attacker rather than a winger in Maclean or a central striker pushed wide in Diouf. I would also use Bauer in games like last night when we need to get more bodies forward. It may take 2 more transfer windows to get where we want to be
