Absolutely sick of this "we need something to get us going" crap. I pay for my ticket. I know this is a 2-way relationship. The nature of supporting anyone but the big 4 is that we will usually receive less than we give. I accept that. It's the lot of a being a football fan and not a glory hunter. But right now the team needs us. When we were promoted, we never needed any inspiration from the players - we were just bloody loud all the time, no matter what. Just like I was when we were at the bottom reaches of the third-tier. It should not matter. Not everyone is loud, I accept that, but the support has been poor for 2 years and I don't think anyone can fairly say otherwise. Now is our time, our chance to do a bit when the team needs us, our chance to make a difference. I love my team and do not want it relegated thanks very much. If I can do something to help, and making that place a nasty, intimidating, noisy cauldron will help, then bloody hell I'm going to do it. Why wouldn't you? I just raised my whisky to you sir!

Please let us think about this The players are paid to be at the ground today The fans are paying to be at the ground today Please tell me whose responsibility it is to create an atmosphere? Like in any other entertainment industry, I will be shouting and clapping when there is something to shout and clap about Unfortunately we've got to many of you basically that's the problem Just for this game. Fuck waiting for them to give us something to shout about. Let's just scream holy hell for 90 minutes and suck that football into the back of the net Be the 12th man! UTMP

Are we all going to sit in near silence for 90 minutes again and then ask why the players weren't up for it? Can't we just try being intimidating again for a while? If you're bothered about Stoke City then make some noise today. I refuse to go down without a fight. Let's get stuck in these baggy twats. I'm in ! Beers and Whisky going down nicely now. I'll be in fine voice in a little under 3 hours GOOOOARRRRRRNNNNNN!!!!!!

I was at a conference this afternoon and was overheard during a drinks break bemoaning our luck in front of goal last night and our overall shitness so far, anyway a guy who was at our table asked me if I was a Stoke fan. He went on to tell me he was a QPR fan and that Hughes had totally lost the plot there as he had spent vast amounts of money on mavericks who didn't really fit in any team plans, individuals who were technically brilliant but added nothing collectively and a shit defence also bad moral in the team. Trigger Aptly named !

I like that he's really positive and isn't panicking when it's so easy to panic in the situation we're currently in
No Walters is music to everyone's ears.
Interesting nothing mentioned about Glenn Whelan
I really think the same team should start tomorrow as they did on Wednesday. Shaq to come on with Bojan if needed.
Geoff didn't have the greatest game but he deserves a chance in that role. Hopefully he grabs it and Whelan won't be the first name on the team sheet !

I went home happy which was a strange feeling as we lost
Considering the shit we've served up so far this season. Last night was a massive improvement. We dominated the game and Hull literally had 3 chances the entire game. One was a worldy of a goal and the other was Charlie Adam fucking around which led to the winner.
Overall. Impressed with the line up he choose. It worked to an extent and on another day I'm convinced we'd have scored 4 or more
Surely. Surely he has to go with the same line up Saturday. Shaq on the bench as well as Bojan.
I wouldn't personally bring Whelan back but Hughes probably will for Cameron

He absolutely mullered their right back several times First name on the team sheet Saturday If he dares put Walters in his place then I'll be back in the Hughes out camp !! I reckon Shaq will be back in the team Saturday. The only just fit Shaqiri who will probably hobble off with a thigh strain No thanks Shaq on the bench. Ramadan was mustard tonight. He simply can't be left out on Saturday

I wasn't going to be honest as I to was still feeling a bit fed up about Sunday and was going to dust myself down ready for Saturday to give WBA hell and the lads 100% support but I'm gonna get myself a ticket today.

This thread is like confession time in a church.
So here goes my confession.
I posted about wanting Hughes to go and genuinely felt Sunday was the final nail in his coffin. But seeing other fans reactions to our catastrophic start, abuse from glory hunting wankers on Facebook, snide remarks at work, even on the phone to a business I recently signed my company to for 12 months, even he gave me shit for being from Stoke. I laughed at the time but the more I thought about it the more I thought, fuck em all. We're Stoke. And we're quite literally hated by everyone deep down because of our first few years in the Premier League under Toxic
So, fucking roll on Saturday. I'm gonna get smashed off my bonce before the match and I'll be in full voice come 3 pm.
CMON STOKE!!!!
Fuck you PULIS, Fuck off West Brom. And fuck the rest of the Premier League who want to see us fail.
Mark Hughes Barmy army!

I'm in the Hughes needs to go camp but I'll be singing his name and giving 100% support.
If he can turn it round and make this season great then it'll prove every doubter wrong and make us all look like cunts. Which I'm happy to be. Although I highly doubt it ha ha

It's a statement in the form of. We've spent a truck load of money to get the team we've assembled and I'm not prepared to fire Hughes after a utterly wank start. So sort it out.
The realistic scenario to me is we smash Hull in the cup and we get a win vs West Brom. We get off the bottom and panic stations are on hold
Another very realistic situation is we lose against Hull and WBA at home is very much a game with heaps of pressure on Hughes and lose that by a similar margin to previous results and I just can't see how he can stay any longer.

One good thing about it. Most of the players that would be sold are on long term big contracts so won't be sold on the cheap.

Butland - Sold Johnson - Sold Shaqiri - Sold Bojan - Sold Arnautovic - Sold Imbula - Sold Allen - Sold Diouf - Sold
You'd make a case for Bardsley. Shawcross. Muniesa. Cameron. Affelay, Adam, Whelan, Ireland, Sobhi, Crouch and Walters to stay on.

Vs West Brom it's going to be a battle.
I've heard awful reports about Grant from a Derby fan I'm good pals with so as much as it pains me to say it Given has to start. It's no use making wholesale changes at the back and the goalkeeper.
Hughes needs to get back to basics. And stop the rot. Fast.
Given
Johnson. Shawcross. Indi. Bardsley.
Allen. Imbula. Adam (as a midfield 3)
Diouf (RW) Arnautovic (LW) Bony
I've included Diouf on the sole basis is that he will run all day and cover defensively if asked to.
I'd like to have given Ramadan the nod but against WBA and the Dinaosaur, he'll have done his homework and will execute plan. Get down the wings and set piece galore.
It's obvious out weakness is the flanks and set pieces. Get Bruno back in the middle and forming a partnership with Ryan ASAP.
We'll have match winners on the bench in the form of Bojan Crouch Ramadan and hopefully Shaqiri.
We paid 18 million for Imbula. We all know he's got bags of talent. So FFS play him in the deep position where he can get the ball and get this crock of shit team moving. It's no fucking use having Whelan and Allen in the same position.
Adam back in the team to add abit if steel and fight. He'll get stuck in. Create and craft openings.
Seeing Whelan and Allen in the middle today was embarrassing. I can't believe Hughes thinks they can play together.
Anyway. The bottom of it is. We must win against WBA or were going to be cut adrift after Man Utd away. Big time.

It's not a knee jerk reaction this but I've also joined the Hughes out camp.
Spurs and Man City are forgivable due to their standing. Palace however is absolutely unacceptable.
I had high hopes for this season but it's clear non of this lot have any faith in Hughes and they all look disinterested and lost.
Whelan has been the worst player on the pitch closely followed by Shaw cross Cameron Walters and Arnautovic .
What the fuck has happened to us? Really. What the fuck is going on

Haven't read much of the thread but I'll wade in with my opinion
I'm convinced Pieters has to be dropped and Muniesa deserves a call in his place
I'm also convinced the back 4 don't need Whelan protecting them. They simply need the team to defend as a unit.
So drop Whelan. Put Imbula next to Allen and either Bojan or Adam as th attacking midfielder.
Imbula is best starting from deep. And i've no idea why he's been played in the attacking midfielder role. Allen was surely bought to replace Whelan so let's finally see it
We've been royally boned in pretty much every game in the league so far for one reason or another. So stop fucking about experimenting Hughes. Get your best 11 on the pitch and give them time to gel properly.
Here's hoping tomorrow brings 3 points. We fucking need them
