Despite today I'm not convinced it's time for a change yet but it would surely be a dereliction of duty by the board not to realise a decision might need taking soon if it really doesn't work out with Gary.
Let's just suppose, after their disastrous failure not just to replace Sparky in time but to have a credible replacement lined up, they've actually learned their lesson and there's a rolling shortlist - who's on it?
I'm not the biggest McCarthy fan but you know what you're getting.
Don't see Big Sam or a manager of his quality coming near while we're a visibly toxic club.
Moyes would be high on my list, thought he did ok at Wet Sham.

SGS “Immature & inflammatory”, whatever you think of the post they are peculiar adjectives to describe it Seriously, there must be conversations like this going on between board members surely after today? In any other kind of a multi-million pound business, or a military campaign, any organisation really there surely would be if it appeared to be losing direction so badly, just in case that didn't improve under the current regime??

Rowett has flaws but changing the manager won't solve much. There are serious structural issues at the club. A Pulis or a Allardyce wouldn't make everything rosy, even if they got better results.

SGS I've had moments of feeling that way too this season, and truly believed he was starting to turn it around earlier this week - but then today we're back to square 1 or worse. As above, I'm not meaning to inflame anything, or calling for Rowett's head - just thinking aloud really, that conversations can't not be happening in private in SCFC's corridors of power right now, how wouldn't they?

This is Stoke City we are talking about. We move super-slow with things like these, no fuss what so ever. But if the owners would be keen to protect their investment those discussions should take place as we type.

No chance, why would he come back to stoke following the dogs abuse he got after all he did? He owes the fans fuck all, he owes the Coates' fuck all aswell. They should have gone with the dossier before Cartwright ( in hindsight)

If we are lucky the board will look at available managers the day they sack Rowett - that’s how on the ball and on the pulse they are
