I'd be amazed if Wigan AND Villa got over 40 points, particularly as they have to play each other last day of the season. Can't see it happening.
Of course that's assuming that we actually get another three points.

Every team can point to a few decisions, but this 'luck' narrative that Pulis is running with is pissing me off, big-time. It's utter bollocks. We just aren't working the opposition keeper. Nothing to do with luck. When you think back to some of the genuine bad luck we've had (Fuller's goal v Everton in the first season, Cattermole handball on the line at Sunderland, Shawcross' last minute winner against Man City being disallowed)......... Couldn't agree more. If TP picked the right team and let them play we wouldn't need luck.

You were speaking sense until you mentioned Whitehead... Ordinarily I'd agree, Nzonzi has far more qulaity than Whitehead, but recently he's started to look like he doesn't want to be on the pitch.

I think there is a chance he will walk at the end of the season regardless of what happens, which could take the 'Coates factor' out of it. Whilst his dismissal of what other people think of him is legendary, I think that what happened in January has hurt him and the recent criticism has broke even his leathery thick skin. He has found he had less in the bank with supporters than he thought he had and that must burn a bit. If I was a betting man however, which I am, I would still back him being here in 12 months time with the same painful debates going on and on. I tend to agree. I think there's a strong chance that TP will no longer be the manager in the summer, whatever happens. TP's pride may force his hand. He may be moved "upstairs" rather than leave the club though. I admit to being puzzled about the relationship between TP and PC. They seem to be at complete odds about aspects of the club such as the academy, which it's obvious PC feels is very important to the future of our club but TP seems to dismiss as a distraction, yet PC shows him loyalty which wouldn't be seen at 99% of clubs and has backed him to the hilt financially, even with his dubious record on transfers.

Make sure you avoid watching the Championship highlights programme after MoTD then - there isn't a team on there any given Saturday night that couldn't outplay the current Pulis abortion... I was thinking exactly that as I watched the Championship highlights this morning

You bet your arse to a bandit he would/will! Exactly what I was thinking when I was listening to KD on Talkshite yesterday. How long before the rumours of Kevin Davies to SCFC start? I'm surprised they haven't already.

Without sounding too negative, im not quite sure our negotiating team have it in them to out do west ham, fulham or everton for Bony. Pulis would have to get involved for a start and hes sorting the team for the weekend. Far to early for Stoke to deal with any new players. Would of loved him here though. West Ham bound, then we wait again for Carlton Cole... I'd rather Pulis signed my gran than Can't Control.

Yes you would think so wouldn't you but the point is they don't. Can they as individuals - or is it a team/tactic thing ? Teams with fairly average premiership players seem to offer more threat going forward. Players that seem to find space, players who look to pass and move for a return, players who get forward and support, players who can play a through pass, players who can get a shot on goal - even players who can score goals ! Why is that ? Surely our players are capable of doing these things aren't they ? Yet we play lump it forward for Crouch or give it the wide man and our front men run into the box and wait for a cross that rarely comes good because the wide man has to beat three defenders on his own and if the cross does come in the men in the middle are surrounded by defenders. I don't buy this 'we need a similar direct manager' stuff, the defence is solid, isn't going to change if TP goes, given some chances I'm sure our forwards can score goals, that just leaves the midfield to address and we have a start on that with N'Zonzi and possibly Adam. Piece of piss, especially if he takes his dog with him Couldn't agree more. Rafa all the way.

Shea will be a good player for us given a little time to get fit and settle into Stoke and the Prem, that's assuming Pulis ever plays him again!!
GC looked a little shaky and not sharp enough when he first arrived but has steadily improved and on Saturday I thought he looked like one of our most comfortable players on the ball.

It's amazing how the form of certain players can improve dramatically when contract time is approaching, then that form disappears again when it's been signed.

When I first started frequenting this board, not too long ago obviously, I was pleasantly surprised by the general tone of most of the posts/threads.

Shea looks like he could be a good signing but he's not quite fit or sharp enough yet.
From what I've seen of him recently Kightly has been shocking.
I agree that Shea should start but doubt he will. Hoping Matty is fit for Saturday.
