Peter Coates has read my letter and realises that the game is up - he calls in Smudge who confirms his worst fears - yes, that Tony Pulis has to go!
Seriously - assuming that PC does accept the blindingly obvious and decides that it's time to move on. To whom would he turn first for advice? Why his trusted lieutenant TP of course
I said in my letter that Coates had recognised a winner in TP and so it proved. Now he, and probably TP, have to find another winner. Not in exactly the same mould as TP of course or the exercise is worthless
So - who would TP admire who might be available?

If he is getting rid, he needs to get rid and make the decision himself. H

No harm in asking Tony for advice, just as long as he ignores it afterwards.

I think Pulis love this club and despite the shit he gets from some he loves the Stoke people too. Ideally Pulis and Coates will do the right thing when it's the right time and between them they'll try and do what's best for Stoke City and any input from Pulis in that regard would be appreciated. Hopefully Pulis will be on the interview panel.

Is Smudge the Stoke City equivalent of the "men in grey suits" who famously arrive on the scene when things are looking bad to let the Conservative Party leader know his/her time is up?
If so he won't do it! Deep down he loves TP "Mr Stoke City", I can almost feel the angst he has to go through to criticise the great man in his leader column.
No way will he issue the final coup de grace !!

If anyone then indeed this is the man. Pulis will still be able to control the club, despite not being the manager anymore. Kemp is moulded into the Pulis regime, the perfect appointment for them.

I think that he will recommend someone like Benitez - experienced and with a negative 'bent'
Can't stand the bloke myself but he will fit the bill for Tone - assuming that Benitez can demean himself by dropping to Stoke's level

I'd like a foreign manager with good contacts Klinsmann Solskjaer Bilic Steve Clarke. But he wouldn't leave the Albion to come to us would he?
