I reckon that Rob Dorset will be one of the first to appear at Clayton Wood tomorrow.
Are the cast of Fraggle Rock getting an early night's sleep in preparation of their appearance on SSN on transfer deadline day ?

I live in Cov and have to admit that these poor buggers have been well and truly shafted. Apart from Arsenal, I wouldn't like to see stuff like this happen to any team's supporters. Well said Sir !

Disagree matey. They both scored at Coventry away. It was then that I knew that we were going up, ..... There was no stopping us! I was joking mate.......you did know that though ( winky thingy ) As I recall we were losing 1-0 at half time at Coventry. Despite this the half time sing song in the packed concourse was inspiring. When Fuller & Lawrence scored in the second half , I think that most of the massive Stoke away following realised that we were on our way to the Premier League. It was the match that Lawrence took off his shirt to reveal his magnificent physique . ....... I'm not Stoke on Trent (rhyming slang) by the way.

From the interview it's clear that Tony Pulis still has a very high regard for the people of Stoke on Trent.
I'm grateful not only for his achievements at Stoke City but also for his contribution to the wider community.

If they're only offering a loan and we want to buy you'd have to put us as favourites. Plus he'd be the main man for us whereas there he'd be playing second fiddle to Remy and Cisse. This makes sense. I don't know anything about De Jong or Diouf, but I don't like the way the move for Diouf has dragged on for so long.

SSN just said that Man City have confirmed that Guidetti has joined Stoke on loan until the end of the season. SSN say no confirmation yet from Stoke.

Quick question, do managers have to get work permits and if so how does it work? Obviously with a player its linked to proportion of international appearances but what about managers? Just wondering because of south americans like Poyet and Pelligrini and it never seems to be mentioned. No real point to this question but just thought about it earlier www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/working/High-value migrants Investors, entrepreneurs and exceptionally talented people can apply to enter or stay in the UK without needing a job offer - but you will need to pass a points-based assessment. Skilled workers If you have been offered a skilled job in the UK and your prospective employer is willing to sponsor you, you can apply to come or remain here to do that job. Temporary workers If an employer in the UK is willing to sponsor you, or if you are a national of a country that participates in the youth mobility scheme, you may be eligible to come and work in the UK for a short period. Other categories You can also apply to work in the UK as a domestic worker; as the sole representative of an overseas firm; or as a representative of an overseas newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organisation. For workers and businesspersons from Turkey Turkish citizens can benefit from a European agreement with Turkey if they want to establish themselves in business in the UK, or if they are already working here legally. For Commonwealth citizens with UK ancestry If you are a Commonwealth citizen and at least one of your grandparents was born in the UK, you can apply to come here to work. Reckon Football Managers come under Temporary Workers Surely Agudelo should qualify as a 'Skiled Worker' ?

The current England squad & Manager have no chance of winning the World Cup, so it's perhaps best if Ryan isn't called up as a late 'scapegoat' for the current regime. Ryan stands a much better chance of playing for England under the new regime after this summer's debacle.

Did he get on, I saw him ready but then he sat down again Sent from my LT30p using proboards That's was my view too. Checked on the BBC and Sky, both say he never came on. Something happened on the pitch in the last minute which mean't that Etherington didn't actually come on as a sub, albeit he was stripped off and ready. My original point was to question the logic of intending to use him and cup tie him. Based upon previous responses, perhaps it was intended to be his 'swansong'

I'm struggling to understand the logic of trying to bring on Matty Etherington as a sub in the 90th minute against Leicester. I can understand bringing on a late sub to 'wind down the clock' but Matty has not featured for several weeks and it was a cup tie. If it is the club's intention to sell him, then surely he would have been devalued by playing him for just one minute and rendering him 'cup tied'? In these circumstances surely it would have been preferable to use Muniesa as a last minute sub. If it is Stoke's intention to retain Matty, then why hasn't he featured before now? In the event, it turned out that the substitution wasn't made eventhough Matty was stripped off and ready to play.
For the purpose of clarity, I wish to point out that I have a high regard for Etherington and what he has done for Stoke, but I regard Assaidi as a better prospect right now,

I'm no fan of Twatter, but I do think that Jon Walters is right to draw attention to the unfair nature of these festive fixtures.
Why couldn't there be 1 home match & 1 away match for each club as in previous years ?

The pitch level at the Britannia Stadium is lower than the ground level outside the stadium. The first 11 rows of seats are lower than the outside ground level. The disabled / wheelchair area is on Row 12 which means a flat (level) access for disabled spectators.
I presume that the ticket office can provide you with further details.
Best wishes

Best of luck to Pulis in his transfer dealings. Hope he finishes just below us and keeps the Palace side up. Here, here! Tony Pulis was good for Stoke City. Also, I think that it's good for the game if promoted teams manage to stay up for more than just one season. It's difficult enough when they are up against the big spenders including the 'Sky 4'
