I don’t think that this is a new thing. I had to provide proof of age (passport) for my Grandson last season. He’ll be 11 years old in September Has anyone had an email from the club asking for them to take proof of age for their kids season ticket? my lad is 11 and has had a season ticket for 4 years now, and has just moved up to under 15's category, which means I am paying more. I can understand if I was still trying to get a cheaper ticket, surely they should of asked for this on past seasons? We actually didn't pay for his season ticket in the past as he was in city 7's, so was free until he got to 11.

I’ve not posted on here for a while (since joining the Twitterati) but I’ve been avidly reading this (lack of) transfer thread.
If memory serves me right, in previous years announcements aren’t usually made until after the player has received his last wages from his outgoing club. Aren’t players usually under contract until the end of June ?
……”Thirty days hath September, April, June …. etc, etc.,

I can't see how the Winner, Imbula or Berahino signings went through 'the process' I'd always assumed they were signings sanctioned by Coates after Hughes kicked off and said he wanted them. Perhaps the managers who followed said they wanted free rein to recruit who they wanted. It would certainly explain Afobe, Ince and McLean last summer and the crap that was brought in this time. A former colleague & West Brom fan is adamant that Hughes was trying to outdo Pulis (who was then West Brom Manager) by offering £2M more than West Brom for Wimmer. Similarly, Hughes was keen to make Berahino a success after he had so publicly failed at West Brom under Pulis’ stewardship.

Not had mine but can only presume it's because it's in the Table Mountain stand and they were waiting to reprint. I thought that it was renamed the "Broke Back Mountain" stand,....... that would make more sense.

Had mine this afternoon and my name is Zach Zacherson, and they do it alphabetically so if you've not had yours - you should be worried, VERY worried. And my real name is Aaron Aardvark, but my season card still hasn't arrived.

Could the world cup be a reason for a lack of transfer activity? Yes, the World Cup has to be a factor. Also, I think that player's contracts generally expire at the end of June & it's only just the beginning of July, so announcements may well be imminent. P.S. Please don't shoot me down if I've got the date wrong !

That’s a lovely coaching set-up, that will do nicely. Who’s our new fitness coach? Nello Nello would make a better fitness coach than Mark Bowen's son.

Decided on a plan. Picked players to fit the plan. Played to the plan in the pre tournament friendlies Because of the above his players look like they know their job. Ok, there is a howler in them, but thats international football. Ver difficult to iron out a new shape in 12 months. Great set pieces so far, big plus. come across really well for me. .......... That's all well & good, but whatever happened to the master plan of having Harry Kane taking corners?

10m per year ! Jesus Christ , that’s more than 95% of the footballers in the league as well. In terms of players, they would need to realistically spend 100m + to challenge for the 5-7 places , 200m for top 4. Can’t see it ! I suppose that it's easy for West Ham to spend taxpayers money.

Stoke are down (& it hurts so much).
So why don’t we just gift Swansea the three points & send Mark Hughes & his cronies down too ?

Whilst it seems appropriate to cancel this event, I do have some sympathy for Joe Allen who for me has been the stand out player, week in week out.
If only we had more players like him.

So the recruitment process is OK, but the judgement has been poor. Then it isn't just about Mark Hughes, what about the 'judgement' of those who were presenting players for his approval ? Surely they must go. Read it again, mate, the recruitment team give the manager a lot of info and it's down to him. Classic blame the bloke who isn't here! I think that we are saying the same thing matey. How did shit players make the 'shortlist' in the first instance. The recruitment team are just as culpable as Hughes.

“It’s a predominantly British team and he’s had it for a few years now. That gives them a good grounding and a good structure. It's, 'this is the way we play and if you don’t abide by that there’s no point in playing'. It’s the same as myself.” Fucking hell Lambert. That is Pulis-level bollocks with a mother fucking egg on top. The Paul Lambert quote surely relates to our opponents Burnley. The interpretation I put on it was that he was comparing Burnley's work ethic with Stoke's current predicament,...... We don't need anyone Jesé types.

Coates shouldn't get abuse. But he does deserve criticism. Unfortunately Bayern, I feel that some people don't know the difference between abuse & criticism. I had the pleasure approximately one year ago to meet Peter Coates face to face. His passion for Stoke City is beyond any doubt & I'm sure that he's feeling as much pain (if not more) than the rest of us right now. The only criticism I could possibly level at Peter Coates is his loyality & trust in officials at the club who should have been removed sooner, or are yet to be sacked.

The decision to sell (for £28M) a 'hit & miss' performer, who didn't want to stay at Stoke, was and still is the right decision. The fact that he wasn't adequately replaced & Stoke City's current plight is a different matter altogether.

Yes thanks, I watched the video. Nothing on show there or, more importantly on the pitch at Stoke, which strike me as being £18M worth. What I saw at Stoke was a complete lack of effort & commitment, easily dispossessed, one footed player. As I said before, I must have missed the match where his "obvious talent" was on display" ....... A signing even worse than Palacios. Chelsea (A) Bournemouth (A) Watford (A) x2 West Ham (H) Burnley (H) Leicester (H) Are some of the games where he looked complete quality. That's 7 games out of his 23 starts where he's given excellent performances. I honestly can't think of that many where he was particularly dreadful, Wolves and Everton away being the only two that come to mind. He's got massive issues but let's not rewrite history. I didn't see 7 "excellent performances" from Imbula, .... but football is all about opinions, and obviously we differ when it comes to Imbula. For what it's worth, I don't think that he has any future at Stoke City under whoever the new manager might be.
