He should keep his trap (fingers) shut. Mardarse. I'd ban 'em all from Twitter though.

Just so you know: "had to travel 700 miles in a few days days."
I agree with bayern though, players shouldn't be on social media. Too often makes them look like the dicks they are.

He's got a fair point - we weren't the only club to play 2 away games. Something doesn't sit right when your opening day and closing day games are away as are both Christmas fixtures

It is shit but it's not his job to moan about it. It's his job to get on with it. I expected better from him tbh.

I'm no fan of Twatter, but I do think that Jon Walters is right to draw attention to the unfair nature of these festive fixtures.
Why couldn't there be 1 home match & 1 away match for each club as in previous years ?

What's he doing having time to Twitt anyway shouldn't he be out running.

I don't really care that Walters is bemoaning the fixtures as he is, obviously, completely right. I'm just disappointed that the club didn't make an almighty noise about it. Would it happen to Manchester United?......... Would it fuck.
What's more......even if it DID happen to them they would make such an almighty fuss about it that it would get changed.
I hate Twitter/Facebook etc (though each to his/her own) but I'm glad someone is stating the bleedin obvious and saying what we all know is true.

I feel for the fans who fork out massive amounts of money at Christmas.
I don't feel for the players one iota, especially the Premiership lads. They know the risks when they sign up to being a pro footballer and they know the Christmas period is the busiest time of the year.
If they aren't happy they could always jack it in and work in a shop, and run the risk of being dragged in on Boxing Day for an 8 hour shift on minimum wage.

At least if you are trying to compare, make sure you win the argument before you start calling people names...prick.

PL continue to screw Stoke City and our club bend over and take it.

He made a fair point and thanked the support.
What's the problem?
Cheers Jon.

Don't wish to poke my nose into somebody else's petty squabble (but I will) Stoke to Newcastle 200 miles Newcastle to London 300 miles London to Stoke 170 mile Total 670 miles Manchester to Hull 100 miles Hull to Norwich 150 miles Norwich to Manchester 200 miles Total 450 miles
The only shitier fixture they could have given us would have been Southampton instead of Spuds

Good to see him speak out and voice out what most Stoke fans were thinking, the Stoke players that do have twitter always have good comments and words about the fans and it's nice to see

Doesn't take long on a plane, and a drive to Norwich is a right bastard compared to a motorway, not as I'm sticking up for them

Doesn't take long on a plane, and a drive to Norwich is a right bastard compared to a motorway, not as I'm sticking up for them That's true mate and I wouldn't really have too much of a beef with the fella who tried to educate me on Manchester United's fixtures (as if I didn't know) except that he came over as a pompous prick. My point was that we were given (almost) the worst two destinations, in terms of travel within the space of two days (until we rearranged with Spurs). I appreciate that it's not easy to keep everyone happy when 20 clubs have to play each other twice and you have to throw in cup games/European trips etc but, when you consider that, between 21st Dec and 1st February we had games scheduled against Villa, Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool, it really could have been scheduled a little better than expecting the club, players and supporters to undertake two polar opposite, very long away trips in the space of two days. All made worse by the time of year.

I heard that JW had volunteered to run the the 700 mile round trip to further demonstrate his tireless commitment to the Potters and enhance his mythological status as a footballer who always gives 110%.
