Blooding Wilson is a good thing though isn't it? most people think the lad will be a class act and based on the managers recent comments about building a younger side for the future starting next year, he will probably be a key part of that.

You are right about diving in and yellow cards but he did actually clear one of the line in the first half.

I guess you would have to say two, but the timing of them has compounded it more, eg if we had played Tues night then normal time Saturday then ok. The fitness levels of players nowadays, training and speed of the game puts more pressure on their bodies, and for speed merchants like Matty it's worse, plus the kicking that wingers normally get.
It's difficult to take I know but you have to look at the bigger picture and the greater good for SCFC.

To be fair the stream I was watching were very complementary about how Stoke played in the first half. They were saying we are not just a long ball team and can pass it round etc.

Did anybody honestly think that he was going to put his best team out midweek away at Liverpool when he have another game on Saturday morning, FFS get real 3 games in 6 days he has moaned about it enough; there are actually people on here who have called for him to play Etherington and Pennant in all 3 games.

We will never play like Arsenal, I think TP's eventual goal would be to play like Martin O'Neils best ever Villa team on speed

I was watching Stoke around that time and if I am brutally honest I think the current team would have murdered them on fitness alone. Mind I think they would have murdered that Liverpool team as well!

Some ridiculous comments on here, what about the chance we took on Etherington and how that has turned out. This is one that didn't work, move on!

In what way is that shite, praising one of our best players and talking him up so he plays well? sounds like good management to me.
Plus asking 5 million for a 32 year old with a history of dodgy knees, hardly offloading him is he!

We have been having alternating runs of 4 or 5 good games followed by the same bad, but based on our form so far I cannot see us not winning another three games and 1 draw = 40 points and safety.

They could play him in the centre, that would knacker up the opposition having to run round him.

Well based on what he actually said in interview rather than letting bitter opinions get in the way. I am sure he recently stated that he wanted to build a team for the future based around younger players!

The referee in the Liverpool game said he thought the female official performed admirably: -
She did a great job ironing his shirt and the half time sandwiches were delicious!

Tunny, if it's a choice, Fuller is now a luxury we cannot afford. Absolute moments of brilliance once in a blue moon paid for with a sullen bad attitude, doesn't work, injury prone, doesn't train etc
No contest

Shown to the best manager we have ever had (All things considered)
It's such an easy game when your a supporter, "Just put out the best eleven" Regardless of how well they have been training, or are carrying knocks, or have personal issues or the team your playing against and the tactics they will use or how many games you have in a week. Does it ever occur to you amateur managers out there in SOT that the same team yesterday have beaten much better teams in the past, and maybe yesterday they just didn't do as they were told or just had an off day, it happens; get over it.

That's it We played poorly away from home against an improving Fulham team. We lost, end of. Why do we always have to beat ourselves up.

I never understand why lesser teams supporters have a go at each other. save the bile for the big boys.
I like to see the underdog doing well but they are in danger of copying Hull by getting too big for their boots!

I think Ryan was reminding Fuller that if he hadn't farted around with his chance we would have been kicking off 1-0 up not down!

He wasn't right for this game but is not a waste of space, showed he can pick a pass to unlock the game just needs to work on his defensive side!

The disappointing thing for me is that we did not put their gung ho attacking to the sword when we broke. The 4-3-3 formation definately caused us problems in the middle and we seemed to be pulled out of shape at the back giving them loads of space.
Mind you I suppose Liverpool and Arsenal thought the same!

Isn't it funny how the TV pundits say it was one of the best games of the day?
It just proves some of our own fans don't know sh*t about footy!
