I wonder if a bad end to the season will see the writing on the wall for Pulis?

Considering you're a member of the Richard Cresswell Appreciation Society, I can't say I'm shocked ;D
Pulisball- a nightmare world where Delap and Diao are kept on the payroll and the likes of Tuncay are treated like shite.

Tuncay was on more than Diao and Delap combined. Would we get £4.5m for them two players? It's a business.

Yes pulis needs to go he has achieved nothing for this club in the last few years, there must be plenty of managers out there who could do better

I wonder how long Coates will give TP before he thinks he can take us no further?
I'd expect that next season will be pivotal in Pulis/Coates relationship.
TP can't keep expecting Coates to cough up if we are not moving forward. In truth Tp has spunked a lot of money away on players who are useless to Stoke and are just leeching on the wage bill.
I like Pulis but sooner or later Coates will be getting fed up if we don't move forward.

I don't want Pulis sacked. What I do want is a change in style, it took Tony Waddington a bloody long time to get a team that would compete and win trophies, ever heard of Waddo's Wall? If he deserves criticism then he'll get it from me. I'm pretty pissed off with the whole transfer debacle and i'm very annoyed Tuncay has left which leaves us very im-mobile up front but I do not want Pulis sacked. What happened to Charlton?

There is NO way I want TP sacked, but I do think that if the team and their play do not improve by the end of next season Coates will start to reassess the situation.

I think our next manager should be someone like Owen Coyle... works with small budgets and gets the team playing nice football... look what he's done at bolton! He's changed everyones perception of how bolton now play in such a short space of time, and they are doing well for it...

Inverness Stokie - exactly what I was thinking as I read the post - Charlton fans moaning about Curbishley... The rest is history

Hang on- Stoke shouldn't consider replacing Pulis because Charlton got relegated a few years ago ??? God forbid we have an FA Cup run then- Portsmouth had one of those Inverness Stokie- Pulis will never change his approach. If you're waiting for that to happen, you might as well queue for snowshoes in Hell.

To be fair to Tunny while he was here, he just didn't get the rubber the green.

I do believe that he will evolve but the Fulham match put a huge black mark on that. Yes we don't play pretty football all of them time but given the freedom it is bloody nice to watch.

Shame that his Stoke team mates have been so quiet about his departure, or are they scared that they will sit out the rest of the season! So long Tunny thanks for giving us fans a glimpse of skill that was not built on.

However the reality, if their performance at the Brit a few weeks ago is anything to go by, is that very little has changed. It might as well have been TP vs Allardyce in that game.

It's very tight in the lower half of the table. Also this lousy window probably shows that we are not particularly attractive to the relatively few quality players that are available and who could contribute to this "move forward". Now when both Tuncay and Eidur have escaped from their nightmares (it will be noted!) - will the rest of the season make us more attractive? We'll see - the rest of the season starts tonight at Anfield!

I'm sure it's all part of TP's big plan. I'm sure he's pencilled in replacements for the summer.
Who knows? Maybe we'll opt for a Parker type.
