Do people on this board and Stoke supporters think the club should extend the early bird period until we know what division we are in.As it is not the fans fault that the club has made such a meme of things Anyone who is fit an able to afford a season ticket but doesn't want to commit until they know what division we're in isn't worthy of a discount...... Spot on. You support your club regardless of division. In fact if anybody wants to only support a team because they are in the top division then id rather they were not a supporter of this club.

I thought it was really poor for such a big game and the predicament we are in. Also really embarrassing chants such as “boring boring boring” and “what a waste of money” aimed at Kyle Walker from the sharp stand The Sharp stand generates most of the grounds atmosphere lately.

Our goal difference has improved by a massive 1 goal. Next. I don't get why you're mocking that. In Lamberts half-a-dozen games our GD is plus one, in Hughes' twenty-two it was minus twenty-five. That's a massive turn around. Spot on The DC! It's a massive turnaround. Just need start scoring and winning games now. But the rot has stopped at least.

Not suitable time for interviews, concentrate with the team. Some people will find something in anything just to be negative. Is it live? Probably not! Is it even since he has been Stoke manager or is it an old interview? If it is then it was probably recorded in the week. The team don't train 24/7 ffs

Looks to me like Lambert has worked extremely hard on fitness and made examples of those who aren't up to it hence over 30M £'s worth of players not making the bench even (Wimm & Bera). He is organising us better defensively hence the less goals leaked. But going forward we aren't as organised and we need that to get the goals we need to turn these draws into wins. We have the pace on the wings and up front and with the exception of one or two what we do lack as you rightly say is quality in possession and that final killer pass.

If we sold Butland then I would look to sign either Pope or Heaton from Burnley. It would depend on which division we were in though. Why would either join us whatever division we were in? They are both excellent keepers and neither of them will want be a back-up based on their performances over last 18 months so if we were to stay in the Prem I think either of them would come if they were the No.2 at Burnley. £40M is mega money if we go down but if we stay up it will be hard find a good replacement so either of these two would be a great capture IMO.

The comments at the bottom about John Coates are interesting. "He will one day take over" "He is involved in all the decision making" Also that people have said they want to buy us. Be curious to know who?

From the BBC site.
Rob Pritchard: You have to admire the West Ham fans for their stamina if absolutely nothing else. It's miles from the stands to the pitch. Haha! Point well made.

I've been attending games for the last 30 years and have just bought a season ticket for the first time in 5 years. And I do not have to justify to anybody why I didn't have one for 5 years (despite attending games)but what I will say is that no matter who owns the club and no matter what division we are in I will always attend games season ticket or no season ticket. I love our club regardless. I love my Saturdays on the piss with my mates and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I cant believe what I read on here sometimes! I'll repeat what I said yesterday when watching the game. He made a mistake and it wont be his last but I'll give him that one because we've been winning this year and he's saved us from dropping to a draw and when we've been drawing he's kept us in games and prevented losses. If it wasn't for Jack our points tally would be worse than it is. Ok he cost us yesterday but he's earned us more than he's cost us!
And for the record even the best make mistakes Bego yesterday and De Gea today let one straight through him. But you won't see this tripe spouted at De Gea by United fans,

Players wasting their talent. Scholes. Cartwright. Seeing Brighton score 4 or more goals multiple times yet we can barely score. Queues for half-time beer. JCL's having an opinion!

I think this is a winnable game as they have been toss this season. If we can stay tight at the back an nick a goal at the other end then I don't see why we cant win. Id of taken the draw against Leicester but this is definitely more winnable than that.

Perhaps the manager said "right you've got a few days off ... go away, clear your heads ... come back focussed and ready to go again; the pressure will only get worse from here to the end of the season so try to relax". And then he turned to his back room staff and said "I want a list of everyone who is in the gym or outside doing drills ... or fingers crossed practicing penalties ... over the next few days. Sod what I told them all, whoever sticks around and puts the work in, is first on the team sheet vs Leicester". This!

I thin, we will get between 35-40m Fox Jack, the other two are spot on. If we go along the fire sale route we could be looking at Jack 35m Shaq 15m Allen 13m Fletch 4m BMI 6m Ryan 5m Saido 5m Plus Ireland, and one or two others. Anyone willing to pay 4m for Fletcher needs sectioning. I was just about to say something very similar. Downside is he has another year left on his contract I believe. Either a loan out or a free if someone is willing pay whatever hes on

Could we get that for Butland, Shaq and Allen if we went down? Then spend it on getting 10 x 10 million championship grafters? £30M Butland £20M Shaq £10M Allen

Shawcross got it spot on in his post match interview for the BBC he called Jese "childish". Im surprised more people haven't commented on this as I think its significant in how the rest of the squad may feel about him.

The common law of business There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey. It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money – that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot – it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better." Berahino? Wimmer? Imbula? These are our mistakes. We don't seem to have done too bad at the 4-5MM end of the market. Common law of business is utter horse shit when it comes to footballers. You could spend £200m on Neymar and tomorrow he breaks his leg, has a dip in form or develops a crack habit. You never know what you're going to get. Some of our best transfers have been freebies or cheap buys. As is said above some of our best buys have been at the 5-6m range. Its the astuteness of those behind the transfers that needs looking at. Cartwright and Scholes are fucking clueless. Even when we signed Bauer after Hughes was sacked one of their opening sentences was "this is a player Mark Hughes has been tracking for some time" - which roughly translates as "if this doesn't work out blame him". They are spineless little cretins - Cartwright and Scholes out!

Maybe for 3-4 months. Once the winter and harsh reality that we won't walk the championship kicks in attendances will drop like a stone. Mid week games will be closer to 10k than 15k. We'd sell way more than that in season tickets alone. You're massively over-egging the drop, I'd say we'd sell around 16,000-18,000 season tickets and average 20,000+ for the first season. After that would be interesting in terms of pricing and whether fans would renew if we had a season of mid-table consolidation.......... You're spot on. I said something similar earlier. Those quoting 10-15k are way off the mark. But you're right if we do go down and then don't bounce straight back up that will be the telling time. Its then that maybe people wont renew (I wont be one of them - id renew if we were non-league). People will renew this year because they will want to keep their seats on the early bird because at that point relegation wont be decided and they wont want risk losing their seats. Others will renew for a similar reason even if they think we are going down because they will want to keep their decent seats if we return to the prem after one season. Personally id sooner the JCL's fucked off now tbh.

No I am saying if we get rid of the Coates family which most of this board wants, then how will we pay the players on 18000 crowds if we are lucky.Sunderland are a much bigger club than us and look what financial trouble they are in when the owner stops putting money in. If peop,e really think we should ru the Coates family out of town, then they need to give their heads a wobble. Sure they have made some mistakes over the last 18 months, but they still have the club's best interests at heart. This relegation will hurt them as much as us and it will be interesting to see how they react. Scholes and Carto on the other hand should be butt fucked by a combined harvested. Spot on Edward Spot On!!!!!!!!!!!!!
