Do people on this board and Stoke supporters think the club should extend the early bird period until we know what division we are in.As it is not the fans fault that the club has made such a meme of things

No not at all, the tickets are still at a very good price, the buying of a season ticket shouldn’t be based on what division we are playing in, as a supporter it makes no difference to me what division I watch stoke in.
The early bird prices are still the same as when we were last in the championship so if it was good enough then why isn’t it good enough now?

I Always got the early bird....The end of last season I decided I was not renewing anymore....forfieted my early bird season card, parking permit and wasn’t until a week before the first home game I was persuaded by my son to take up my seat which was still available God only knows what possessed me to listen to him. This season deffo my last.
Back to the question ......if I was the club I’d leave it as is......uncertainty of missing out will persuade a lot to get the early bird
I don’t believe The club will benefit as much from extending

Spot on. You support your club regardless of division. In fact if anybody wants to only support a team because they are in the top division then id rather they were not a supporter of this club.

You're looking to pay less than £8.67 per game (£399 / 46 games) if we end up in the Championship? Wow.

It should be offered and encouraged now more now than at any time since 2008.

What if they work shifts and being in a lower division means that they will miss a good percentage of home matches due to the increase of mid week home games?

They would still get to see the same number of Stoke games as they did this season, presumably. They'd just miss a few more. Plus more 3pm Saturday games because less games fucked around by Sky/BT.

Interesting point I suppose and one which I will definitely look into in more detail before deciding whether or not I renew. I just think it's a bit of a sweeping statement made by Prestwich when he doesn't know how much time or money others have invested in supporting Stoke City over the last 40 years or so (in my case).

He wasn't commenting on their personal circumstances though was he? He was commenting on the fact that people were dithering about renewing simply because of the division we might be in. Which is pretty shit on the face of it.

The key words were fit and able though. I have absolutely no problem with people who can’t make the games regularly for a whole host of reasons. Only with so-called fans whose only excuse is that we’re not in the Premier League....

Golf handicap coming down and joining a golf club. They are the three big reasons for myself seriously considering whether to renew or not. I also much prefer the odd away game and honestly find attending home games a bit of a bore lately.

You made it out to be a purely economic decision ie missing more midweek games.

I'll be in the same boat with the volume of midweeek matches but its more than compensated for with the regularity of Saturday 3pm games.

Which club you joining and what's your handicap? Looking at Trentham park and Newcastle at the minute. I live right by Trentham park now so that's looking favourite but heard really good things about Newcastle so going to check them out as well before making a decision. I've not really got an official handicap at the minute but I play off 18 with my mates but by playing more regularly I'm expecting to get that down this year.

Trentham Park mate, some interesting holes - Newcastle’s nice and all but a bit non-descript imo.

Before moving away I was a member at trentham park. I kept my membership for 5 years after leaving the area. It's a great club, fantastic course and though I'm biased, you'll enjoy it far more than Newcastle if you get the golf bug. Greens used to be great at Newcastle but the course is bland and boring if you play it regularly. If you get the golf bug, your work commitments won't be a problem. If you are anything like me, you'll play golf when you are supposed to be working There are loads of stoke fans at trentham park and loads that play golf on Saturday morning then go up to the match in the afternoon.
