The comments at the bottom about John Coates are interesting. "He will one day take over" "He is involved in all the decision making" Also that people have said they want to buy us. Be curious to know who?

The Premier league was screwed from it's very inception when 5 clubs strong armed it. It's nothing new. Coates wailing about the bigger teams walking away just side tracks from the fact that they don't want to spend the sort of money thst clubs around us have done to compete.
Enjoy the Championship, Coates. You and your band of fucking idiots running the club into the ground have earned it.

On the dismissal of mark hughes...
People would argue, and i wouldn't argue too strongly against it, that it would have been better to have done it sooner '
Er... Why not say... We should have sacked hughes earlier

My God man you're talking revolution if you can't see that the main point in keeping Hughes was to say See, we knew we were right and you fans know nowt.

We should have sacked hughes earlier ???? Even Peter now falling for the line it’s hughes fault , peddled by some around him with vested interest , how about we invested 20th in the investment league there times in 5 years and 15th and 16th the other two despite finishing 9th on the pitch three times . we then looked for the cheapest manager available because we have a toxic role and won’t pay for the right type of guys to sort it out or their salary and back room staff and investment demands Thats why Bournemouth , Huddersfield , Brighton , palace , Newcastle .west ham , Crystal Palace Leicester , Everton are all above us despite finishing below us in those years . The elite have zero to do with our issue , they will be sorry to see us go , we are a banker 6 points for most them . when we did invest our appalling transfer team did it as badly as it’s possible to do as they lack any credibility in the game .

There would be a lot of people surprised with his choices in the last 10years best player Ric, favorite game beating the Arse. He is still a proper Stokie you have to give him that.

I'm toying with becoming a Spurs fan as we paid for half the new stadium with the most ridiculous set of transfers ever in the history of football. How they will ever manage to break even without us no one knows.

If we are down by the last home game, we should all chip in and get a banner saying " This is what the fuss is about " Clever bur ideally I’d still prefer to see the metaphorical execution of those responsible .in front of the baying boothen end scholes stripped of his club pen , training top and positive bank statement in front of the boothen artwright stripped of his club travel card and both dumped in wheel barrows and wheeled out to the M6 .

If it's not complacency Mr Coates that we find us in this position it must be because the organisation is run shambolically

Perhaps a suitable number of Oatcakers could pool say individual £5 contributions and buy a half page ad in the Sentinel that simply said... “Mr Coates - do you now see what the fuss was about?”
