Let’s be honest, that’s due to media/social media rousing up the torch and pitchforks over any little thing. Tbh I’d rather they’d stop doing interviews unless they give the players/staff freedom to speak

The whole farcical era of this pre made bullshit really winds me up.
Managers in interviews using pre made speeches, never answering questions, avoiding it and spinning it back on itself, players coming out and 'tweeting' saying were ready to fight, stick together, positive mentality and all this shit.
It's just a left wing happy clapper statement. Trying to keep everyone happy and make it look like they care. Half of the time its not even the players who are tweeting it, they have someone running their accounts for them. That's how sad its got.
I wouldn't even take notice of it.

He wants to have a good long look at his big mukka Choupo I don’t think he knows the meaning of the word fight. Despite being well and truly physically equipped for it he’s got no heart or fire in his belly.

This fighting talk has happened all through our last two relegation seasons. I don't even bother reading/listening to it anymore.

Too busy making sure his instagram stories are on part with Zouma. takes more pride in that than playing football.

A good fight in the pub is what they need. A no holes barred slanging match to get their differences sorted out.
Only if they unite will we have a prayer and it's pretty clear they are a divided team at the moment.
Foreign and flashy vs fat old and traditional that's the mix we have with a few young ones hiding behind their mums pinnie pretending it's nothing to do with them.
Let it out, say what you think and get it sorted because you will ALL share the wrath of the fans if you continue to put up this shit show.

When asked if Stoke have enough talent to get out of trouble, the Dutchman said: “Yeah, yeah. But the only thing you need is points. “There are still 33 points to play for, and we believe 100 per cent we can stay up.” He added: “You can say, ‘Listen, we’re going to be OK, we’re going to be OK’. The moment we are out of the relegation zone, the moment we are safe, then you can say, ‘It’s over’. “It’s simple. I can make a beautiful story for you guys, but we are there, and we have to get out of it. “We have the talent, we have the group, we have players to get out of there, but we have to do it.” sport.bt.com/football/pieters-makes-points-the-potters-priority-S11364249829372

I understand your point but what exactly should they be saying instead then? Stay quiet, let your football do the talking Maybe a tweet something like "Yes we've been shit but i promise we're trying to not be shit" Less of this "we go again *fist emoji*" bollocks

I understand your point but what exactly should they be saying instead then? If they can't say anything insightful say nothing. Asinine little soundbites are nothing. Zero. Fuck all. It's all going to be defined by what happens on the pitch. The rest is irrelevant.

Can't really blame the players to be honest.

All I want the players to say is "I don't want a relegation on my CV, I will be doing everything in my power to ensure that doesn't happen"
Then back it up win, lose or draw with a whole hearted display leaving everything on the pitch at the end of it.
At this stage I can't ask for anymore......

I wish they would all shut up and get on with the job in hand. And bloody hurry about it.
Oh for the leadership of some of our former players, Walters, Whelan, Huth, Faye, Delap. Yes I know they’ve gone but by God we need some fucking bollocks and we need it damm quick.

So the club should then put all player interviews on hold then, right? Not exactly the players' fault. They just get asked questions and come out with the standard answers their media training has taught them.

I doesn't help when we have managers telling them and us how good these players are, tell the fucking truth they are not good they are a very long way from good, they are crap and need telling so not just in private, they don't give a shit anyway so let the idle gutless wasters have it both barrels let the world know just how shit they are individually. Sick of hearing good group, training better finishes well in training FFS they obviously are not doing any of these things when it matters.

I know how it works, I just wish some of them would fulfil their duties by being a bit more honest, and stop with the nonsense cliche's. How about the odd player just saying "We aren't performing. The talking needs to stop and stop now and we need to start walking the walk for a change. I have no further comment to make." ? Does their media training teach them to be genuinely truthful or humble once in a while or is it there to just enhance their shithouse characters by adding another layer of lies, manipulation and teflon coating to their sorry and lost souls? Sorry, i'm in one today.

I could appreciate it more if it came from someone who will be around next season and ready to fight in the championship should we get relegated.... But Zouma will still be a Chelsea boy (although most probably loaned out to yet another premier league club), and relegation with Stoke will be a distant memory!!!
How many Stoke players have we heard it from now??? And yet there's more fight in a bath bomb dissolving in a tub of hot water than Stoke at the moment!!!

Not sure why people are arsed to be honest. The weeks between football are normally quite boring so i don't mind being able to read what our team has to say.
What else do you expect them to say? No need to get wound up over that, plenty to be annoyed by on a saturday.
