I thought it was really poor for such a big game and the predicament we are in.
Also really embarrassing chants such as “boring boring boring” and “what a waste of money” aimed at Kyle Walker from the sharp stand

Once the first goal went in, everyone knew it was game over.
How can a crowd get up for a game where we have no interest of touching the ball?

The goals at the beginning of each half killed it. We looked as though we might do something as the first half progressed, but the goal at the beginning of the second killed the game. The players and fans knew we weren't going to score two whatever happened.

I don't think anything should be leveled at the fans, not after 2 and a bit years of complete lethargy from the club. Can't speak for anyone else but I can't in good conscience back some of our players that are mercenaries / that have no pride in our club or that put in as little effort as they can get away with. All the while earning a fucking sickening wage every week. It's not Stoke.

The early goals did knock the stuffing out of us and the fans seemed to realise resistance was futile on the night.
The atmosphere in the second half was funereal. Must admit, I nearly fell asleep at a couple of points as they were toying with us like a lion with an antelope.

To be fair, it is what it is. The demographics have changed in the last few years and I think that has massively contributed to the decline in our atmosphere. I get people giving me evils if I sing a song which has a swear word in, and considering our most popular chant does, that's a little bit awkward.
I think when we go down (it does feel slightly inevitable at this point), we will find our atmosphere returns a bit.... the problem is that it'll disappear if we ever come up again. Just the merry-go-round I guess.

Fans cannot be blamed at all. The atmosphere before the goals was okay, but the players didn’t show anything to have the fans believing they could get / want something from the game... the standing off was farcical. The few times we pressed ( remember Beaur on the wing and Crouch closing down the keeper ) got the crowd got right up for it !
Also, lack of ambition shown from manager to want to get anything ... Ramadam on 88th minute, Jesus Christ, like back to the Hughes days !

I thought the atmosphere until the first goal was reasonable.
If we go down we’ll see what a shit atmosphere is with 15k gates and another possible relegation battle.

For the first time supporting the Potters (season ticket holder since 1992) I feel apathetic.
I don't know what exactly it is but I am concerned that don't feel more panicked about going down, and am beginning to accept the general downturn in atmosphere. There's not even a Pottermouth to rouse us this time!
Hopefully it's a phase but honestly this has been a general downturn for me since the demise of Stokelona.

Resignation to defeat on and off the pitch before a ball was kicked I’m afraid. The walk to the stadium was akin to a peaceful stroll to carmountside crematorium.

Some teams give a hint that they are able to raise their game, fight against the odds and achieve something. We do not - supporters have cottoned on to this. End of story.

The supporters have turned up on numerous games and got nothing in return. The atmosphere will always depend on performance,it’s hard to generate when you see players walking around clearly not giving a shit! There wasn’t one big tackle put in last night by any Stoke player. Man City are brilliant but that wasn’t a performance of a team desperate to stay up in my opinion.

Our gameplan looked to revolve around Man City having their minds on other things so if we didn't upset them they probably wouldn't bother to score many goals against us. Pragmatic and 0-2 is an reasonable scoreline but it's hardly going to get the stadium rocking.

Ì personally thought the crowd were superb against Man City. The crowd knew we had a massive task and in doing so there was none of the usual meat head booing when we struggled and plenty of encouragement when doing the good things.
We made plenty of noise and many stayed back to applaud the team.
This Saturday is Everton and I'm expecting lots of noise, lots of encouragement and loads of joy when we win.
Let's get of their backs for the rest of season and support them all the whatever happens.

A win against Everton on Saturday will see the bear pit atmosphere return for the remaining 3 home games,
It’s well known the way to unsettle citeh is to make the keeper play long,we sat on the half way line and let them play through us at will,

Thank fuck we didn’t have that attitude in our first season in the Premier when they were still far superior to us, had an extra man and we still managed to lift the team to an unlikely win. Our home support is fucking shit, especially considering the magnitude of Monday's game.
