Surely something like positioning can be worked on ? I'd position him just over the railway bridge selling match day programmes.

It's amazing how much stick Allen gets on here but still the vast majority so far on this post name him in their team. Personally I would have him nowhere near our midfield.

Nathan Collins has great potential and has a lot to offer but also has a lot to learn. 1st goal major mistake by butland. McLean was slow to cover on the left but Collins was also ballwatching from the centre and allowed his man to stand goal side of himself with no pressure from Collins - resulting in easy goal for the striker. 2nd goal half hearted running back by clucas no challenge to the attacker, Collins stabbed his foot in and was easily beaten without giving any obstacle. These are mistakes which played a part in us conceding 2 goals would a more hardened centre half got goal side of his man for the 1st goal or try to block the runner for the 2nd goal.. I would hope so yes. I know Shawcross would have been crucified if he'd made those mistakes - although I do think Shawcross would of took the yellow card and blocked the runner to prevent the 2nd goal yesterday. So while Collins is one to nurture and develop he is not at this point physical, hardened switched on enough to be a starter in a team with ambitions of promotion. We can't afford these learning curve mistakes if we're serious about promotion. I disagree- he didnβt get done for physicality and neither Baβath or Shawcross would have stopped a guy who had 20 yards of space to run at them in- look at the goal conceded at Brentford in Jonesβs first game. BMI would have been done as it would have been on his right foot ( which he uses solely for standing on) and I havenβt seen Lindsay, but it was only 12 moths ago that Barnsley were relegated conceding sheβd loads of goals. The reason we may struggle is because we have a midfield with very little creativity and a set of starting forwards who donβt look like they have a goal in them. Didn't say he got done for physicality but did say a hardened centre back would of blocked the runner and took a booking to prevent the goal - this is something Collins will in time learn. Agree we need to create and score but also can't give 2 soft goals away at home if we're serious about promotion. Developing Nathan Collins slowly while he learns his trade is the way to go. At this time having him as first choice Centre back while he is still learning the darker side of defending will do him no good and the mistakes he will make due to lack of experience will cost Stoke valuable points. I'm not trying to destroy Nathan but think we need to remember he is a youngster and not ready for bei g first choice at this moment.

CB.. Shawcross. Batth. Lindsay. Collins.
DM.. Cousins. Woods?

Where do ince and MccLean fit in?

Identity crisis as football club seeks new name.
Frank Lampards Derby are looking for a new name as Frank takes his brand to the premiership with Frank Lampards Chelsea..
Early favourite is the club formally known as Frank Lampards Derby. π

Build a squad that can last the season like Norwich and not run out of steam in the last month like Leeds. Also obviously build a team that scores more goals than the opposition

We are never going to have a better chance of finally scoring 3 in a game How are Swansea doing today under your hero potter? π They're probably still throwing themselves to the floor after every tackle.. Maybe there ref today isn't such a goon as we had midweek and is not fooled by their cheating.

I'm 100% in support of jones.
There were some on here who wanted Graham Potter here.. Well the way his players were diving to the floor throughout the game and lying flat out as if they'd been shot after every challenge he can stay at Swansea if that's how he directs his players to act then I don't want him here at Stoke. They were cheats and all to often conned a very poor ref.

Is there an argument that just re-purposing old songs with current players names slightly cheapens them? I remember people trying to sing Michael Owen's name to the old Fuller songs and it made me a bit sad. Players should get to keep their songs even after they leave. I get what you mean, but think we just wanted sing some songs and was easier that way. Plenty of time to get better/more original songs in the future. Think it's a great idea. And have no issue with reusing old songs. Some of the best songs have been sung to traditional hymns and catch on much better. Abdoulaye my lord - come by ar my lord. Greenoff, Greenoff, amazing grace. If we can sing oh when the reds and other songs just like many other clubs then why can't we sing songs to tunes we've sing before. Hope the corner singing catches on and brings the atmosphere back which has dipped in recent seasons as many have complained about on here . The boothen ain't what it used to be. Good on you guys for having fun and bringing some atmosphere back.

Stood next to ian painter many years ago at a football game watching Bridgnorth town play. He was shocked when this young teen knew who he was. His mates said he'd give me a fiver if I asked for his autograph bt I couldn't be bothered.
Think Bridgnorth drew 1-1.

Said at the time and I'll say it again Why o why did we not just pump for Frank Lampard. Breath of fresh air, would have got the young quality loans and generated a feel good factor instead of the cars of negativity we have. Genuinely think we are looking at years down in the champ now and I put the blame firmly on the decision makers at this club and all of them are still sat on their jobs. It's an absolute @@@@ show. Your right about the young quality loans that lampards has brought to derby. Buts thats all they are...loans there not his players or derbys and wont be there next year. So he'll be having to build a new team. Loans are only short term solutions.

He did nothing wrong today. Why do the knives come out whenever we lose? Were you watching today? Absolute joke of a defender and the way he took the ball of etebo was just plain out of order! Roll on at least two seasons when most of these overpaid fools leave! NJ said on radio stoke there is an order of who takes penalties and clucas was that man today. Shawcross as captain was making sure the team followed the managers instructions. The stick shawcross gets on here is plain out of order.
