I don’t mind his podcasts. They’ve done him well.
Happy retirement Crouchy!

One of my favourite Stoke players and extremely well likeable person. Shame in some way he could have stayed few more months and played his last game with us.
Thanks for the memories and THAT goal.

Still can not work out why we didn't keep him until the end of the season, not like it made any difference to our end of season debacle.

Likeable and a good servant for this club across many a year. Deserves a happy retirement. I just wish he'd stop with the lazy critiques of why we went down. (see the other thread.)

Thanks for the memories Pete. Those halcyon days will stay with me forever. Sigh. I met him at training ground once, class act. Up until recently, I used to see him most mornings at Stoke station, so regularly in fact that we were on nodding terms. This daily bout of bonhomie sadly came to a crashing end when I bought a car and decided to drive to work instead of taking the increasingly unreliable train service. Although he'll never publically admit it, I think that out of all he's experienced during his time at Stoke, this will be the thing he will miss the most. If he does sign for Burnley, I might get the train to work one more time before he leaves, just so we can enjoy one final shared moment of recognition dripping in the type of awkwardness that can only be forthcoming from two blokes in their mid-to-late 30s (one of whom is a millionaire footballing legend). Goodbye Pete...and remember that wherever life takes you, we'll always have the Pumpkin Cafe.

A classic Tone signing if there ever was one, he was in his element having Kenwyne and Crouchy at his disposal. Crouchy however, turned out to be an ever present at Stoke. Always gave 100%, and I think to net the amount of goals he did in the first couple of season under Hughes, considering the game style was brilliant.
Didn't quite get to do much/be able to do much under Rowett, but IMO deserved to retire as a Premier League footballer with Burnley at the end of it all.
A top class professional and someone who is great with the fans, not just of our club but any club. Destined it seems for a long career now in the media side of football, evidenced by Amazon's commissioned series for him for the Premier League.
All the best, Crouchy.

I believe he spent the longest here
Great player for us.

Shame really that Greenhough's similar goal isn't given the same prominence. But good luck to a nice bloke who always tried for the club.

Good luck Peter . . .It was great for Stoke that you played for us. And as a bonus, towards the end, there was always a chance we might actually score a goal when you got subbed in.

THAT goal will live long in my, and I guess everyone else's, memory. Everyone seemed to leap six foot out of their seats as one. Scored and played more times for us than any other club. Enjoy a great retirement Crouchy. You'll never need to buy a pint in this city!

When he first signed I thought the fee was way too much for a player of his age. Now, all these years on it has to go down as money well spent. Aside from his goals and THAT goal, he raised the profile of the club. In his later years I don’t think we played to his strengths by not crossing balls in....always seemed like we brought him on after taking a wide player off...just weird.
Anyway, thank you Peter for your time with us....oh,and for Mrs Crouch.😉

Would love to see him as an ambassador. Get him working with our youngsters, great moral fibre.
That goal, well what can I say apart from it nearly sent me into early labour I screamed that loud when I saw that fly in.
Stoke legend !!
