Said at the time and I'll say it again
Why o why did we not just pump for Frank Lampard. Breath of fresh air, would have got the young quality loans and generated a feel good factor instead of the cars of negativity we have.
Genuinely think we are looking at years down in the champ now and I put the blame firmly on the decision makers at this club and all of them are still sat on their jobs. It's an absolute @@@@ show.

Completely unproven. No guarantee that they will make the top 6 yet. Beaten by a 10 man Rowett side.
Winning at Accrington Stanley doesn't make him Pep
Give Jones a chance at least

I just like what he says, and what he's doing. I will give Jones a chance but again I feel it's a stupid appointment at this point in the season. we needed him in the summer when he could build something.
It also highlights how little joined up thinking goes on at our club, his style being completely at odds with Rowetts

Too many big names are failures, Tony Adams, Teddy Sheringham , countless others. He's well regarded and an intelligent bloke but he'd of gone the same way as Rowett. The malaise and stench at the club means he'd of been on a hiding to nothing. Jones has actually put his neck on the line coming here. Could damage his stock. Luton aren't missing him are they, because they are a club with momentum from 18 months of winning. The job Jones has got is going to be huge we can see that already after his 4 in charge. I always try to be balanced if possible and I posted that despite a great day the reaction to Leeds was all a bit OTT and I stand by that. We have a long long way to go and a stuck in quicksand. Jones needs time , I'm not sure he'll get it here. Lampard would not of been the right fit at the time for a club in decline trying to stop the rot. The media and social media all made out we would piss it. How silly they all look.

Oh dear she many were ridiculed at the time for saying Derby were having a far better summer , still until we remove the process and it’s champions it will happen again and again and again

To be honest if we dug up Busby, Shankly and Clough they would struggle with the bunch of wasters we have at the club.

It also highlights how little joined up thinking goes on at our club, his style being completely at odds with Rowetts Lampard already had a side assembled that was Chanpionship ready. All he’s done is added a few loan signings to the model and it’s the same as last year in all truth. Stoke on the other hand are a total rebuild job whichever way you look at it. If we’d have appointed Lampard, I’m certain he’d have done exactly the same here as Rowett did. NJ has started to identity the issues and players that don’t work here and has a massive task of turning this ship round. He did it from a similar position at Luton and I have every faith he’ll do the same here given the time. The impatience by some fans is staggering at times and the realisation that miracles can’t be worked in less than a month is truly lost.

On a different and probably familiar note I would like to say just how fed up I am with the continued use by commentators and pundits of the descriptive phrase "Frank Lampards Derby".
Listening to some commentary yesterday in FA Cup. Remember that the FA cup resisted sponsorship for so long and so it was so ironic to hear references to FLD during the match. Does our Frank get some sort of image rights or royalty payment for each reference to his name during a match? Getting beyond a joke now and about time it stopped. It is not his Derby and realistically he just got lucky with a big name club for his first real job in management.

To be honest if we dug up Busby, Shankly and Clough they would struggle with the bunch of wasters we have at the club. I totally agree with you 150%. We all have known it for 3 years at least. Complete and very brutal clear out required at the club. Too many players milking a living out of the club. Jones has assessed the team and he is going to start the savage cull immediately, and about time to. He must be given the freedom to choose HIS players , not the ones that Scholes and Carthorse choose. Peter Coates and Co must be fuming over our recent buys. They have been a disaster and it can not continue, we have become a dumping ground for unrecyclable football trash.

Well done for being right.
And if we had have gone for Lampard is there any evidence we'd be up near the top of the table? He took charge of a team that has been in the mix for a few years now, he should have them up there.
Jones is the right type of appointment for us. We need to build something again and it's not something that we can just throw money at.

Frank Lampard Snr would have been a better appointment than Rowett.
Jones is a good appointment though, given time and the correct backing he'll get it right

Lampard is flavour of the month with the media because of his playing career and once he's sacked at Derby will be on MOTD doing punditry

The only man that has had any association with Derby County that'd done us any good is Alan Durban. Can we leave it at that and drop all this Frank Lampard BS. He'll be found out next season in the championship, well i hope so anyway.

So he'll be having to build a new team. Loans are only short term solutions.
