I thought it was funny too. Especially the lads comment to Hughesy. The fact that soo many on here are complaining just makes it funnier.

First half I'd give a 10. The team was working for each other and seemed hungry for a victory. Second half complete opposite of the first. ZERO. Why oh why we we playing long balls and clearances in the second half against 10 men for piss sakes...

You may be better off parking down at the Kings Hall in Stoke. Get the bus up to and back from the ground. It's a £3 ticket or at least it was last season! I'm usually back at home(5 miles away) by quarter passed 5 every match day. I think the parking is around £3 too, although I may be wrong there. The queue for the bus after the game can be boisterous at times, but you're usually on the bus within 10 mins. You could leave a few minutes early to cut this waiting time down though. Hope this helps.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction 2. Will Boro stay up this season? 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/post/new/259163#ixzz4GrIA6H4o1. I’m going for a 1 – 2 win for us 2. I hope you do and Sunderland get relegated! 3. Possibly, are your centre backs any good?! 4. Yes you were, yes we were! 5. I have no idea what one of these is. 6. Not really I’m afraid.

Hi y'all, if you've put any bets on for the first match what are they? I've had a £3 punt at 12/1 for Stoke to beat them 2 - 1. This was/is on Bet365.
I'm new to this betting lark, so go easy on me if you think this is a bad bet!!

They type of people who have been causing the trouble don't care about football or the result, they won't be bothered if they're kicked out or not. This....

Thanks Gary, the pertinent questions I was thinking of (and I've posted elsewhere) were:
1. Will UEFA make reference to what is the specific (and that's the important bit) reason why England are being threatened with expulsion from the tournament? As far as I'm aware England haven't actually been charged with anything, so why are England being threatened with a punishment?
2. UEFA have previously stated that they don't have any powers of jurisdiction over events that take place away from the match day stadia and as only the Russians have been charged with events that took place inside the stadium, why are they now seeking to exercise powers over events that have taken place elsewhere?
3. If UEFA are now going to exercise powers of jurisdiction over events that take place away from the match day stadia, then why aren't France themselves being threatened with expulsion from the competition. There are numerous examples (corroborated by the French police) of local French ultras attacking supporters from other nations in Lille, Nice and Marseille amongst other cities?
Paul. you're spot on with your questions. The problem which I hope that doesn't arise is that the England fans out there will not 'automatically' be the scapegoats for the trouble. It does beggar belief that no Russian 'fan' that can be clearly identified has been locked up yet... The World Cup should be taken off the Russians anyway, but if they are disqualified, as I think will happen mainly because these so called fans are nothing more than paramilitaries dressed up as football fans, then it should be re-voted and a new venue sought.

I've got two on my car. I've yet to see another vehicle with any on there. I'm no racist, I'm supporting my Country, albeit in a convoluted way... If people don't like it they can kiss my arse. And you are jetblack. Actually I'm not Jet Black, if you're trying to create a race issue. I named myself after a drummer. He wasn't black either.....

There's one that stands by us at every game in block 29. We call him the 'every time' bloke because whenever a Stoke player is fouled he bellows 'EVERY TIME REF' even his mates laugh at him! Constantly moaning he is. Is he the one who constantly slags Diouf and Wollscheid off? Probably Sid, he moans about everything!

Has to be Mourinho for me, calling himself the 'special one' when all he seemed to do was sign cheques.. Put him in charge of Crewe or Vale, then let's see how special the throbber is.

My guess would be that the last thing Clubs want is transparency. Look at the 'undisclosed fees' after every transfer window. I wouldn't be surprised in any way if a away ticket price cap is voted down. There's a HUGE trough coming and Clubs already have their backsides in the air, readying themselves to stick their noses into it as deeply as possible. The long suffering fan is there to be milked, and we go along with it with the possibly misguided thought that the money we spend on pies, beer, programmes etc is helping our club out in some way. Everything is overpriced, £2.70 for a pie or such like, when the same thing can be bought outside of football stadia for less than a quid? We do this in the mistaken notion the 'our Club' loves us, it doesn't, it loves our money and wants as much of it as it can get.

What a banal piece of blogshit that is.... I really detest the team, manager and fans of that Club. Let's hope St'orc' City tear them a new one on the tele tomorrow. I wonder which Arsenal 'old boy'will be in the studio with them.

Overall, I hope that both players and manager honour their contracts, and even if large offers come in for either, none leave. Stoke City FC has helped them(in some cases) to rejuvenate a possible stalled career. If the Club does agree to sell or release I would be very disappointed. Good thread for a change!!
Happy New Year

I think it shows disrespect toward the home team to have an ex-pro from the opposition as a pundit and no-one in the other corner so to speak. I love it though when it blows up in their faces and the guest has to agree that his old 'superior' club lost. Dean Saunders springs to mind when we battered his old club at the Villa ground, you could tell all of the 'praise' he was giving to Stoke was through gritted teeth. I think there was a old Stokie in the studio that day too, I can't remember who it was.
For fairness and balance there should be ex's from both Clubs surely...
