Should we go with the 3 amigos and try and out football them or go for a target man and mix it up to ruffle their feathers etc?
Discuss.....

Let Arsenal worry about what hey are going to do to cope with us! Hate the name "Three Amigos"! We have eleven players in our team and we can be a super team! Let's hope they turn up on the day.

All of our players carry crickets bats with them and have one free swing throughout the game with no repercussions.
I think that is fair enough?
In all seriousness stick to what has worked so far this season.

Depends on what happens in the Norwich game really.
3 amigo's & Crouch (or Joselu or Walters) Crouch record v Arsenal is outstanding.
Afellay as number 8
but anything could happen on Wednesday first so who knows?

Hopefully it'll be nice and cold and windy. As soon as they appear in gloves and leggings the game is already won

Whoever's playing should always realise that this game is more important than any other and nothing less than 110% effort will be acceptable on the day.

Set pieces could do with some work - we need to get our scrummaging and line outs sorted out. Also we need to get back to using the Garryowen, can be very effective against these, they don't like it up'em

Teams that try and outplay Arsenal usually find themselves on the wrong side of a hiding!
I would honestly be looking to go for a more 4-4-2 approach, with Arnie and Shaq trying to exploit the flanks and probably play Crouchie up top.

The "Let's All Do the Wenger" tactic is fucking ACE! By the way thanks for that lads and ladies! I pissed myself laughing in a pub when you did that, the look on the Arsenal fans faces in that PACKED pub was priceless, literally priceless! I am smiling thinking of it now

Same as we did to Man Citeh & ManUre. Another nice & easy 2-0+ win will do us and send the Arse home in tears again.

Can't see us winning by trying to play the same way they do, Crouch,Diouf or Walters to play for me.

If they have got it in their locker to press like Liverpool then no. Personally don't think they will so it will be a battle of who's defense is stronger maybe we'll come out on top!

Put some pictures up of bare Arse's on the big screen, they will be too distracted to see whats going on, on the pitch.

We need to make sure we give them a good fucking, they don't look half bad this season. The one thing we've been good at in the past, is ending the bandits title challenge. I don't think we'll be doing that this time, seeing as they're top, but we can at least knock them a bit and hopefully the rest will fall into place.

Do what the opposition least want you to do. I think they'd be happy for us to play the false 9 and try to beat them at their own game. We should be able to play Naaaarch off the park, but only a few days later, we should be a bit more direct against the Arse - Cameron, Adam, Walters, Crouch, Diouf should start.

If we sit back and close down all the spaces, Arsenal can't do anything. Bojan is our biggest defensive liability at the moment because he doesn't track back and basically plays as a 2nd striker leaving us 2v3 in midfield. We all remember how awful we were at the Emirates this season when we played 4-4-2.
Sparky needs to be brave in his team selection now. Bojan on his day is arguably our best player but he has really been out of form the last couple of games and I think he needs a break. I think we should start with Van Ginkel / Adam in the number 10 role. Bojan can be brought on after 60 min mark if we're still losing.
We need to go back to the basics. Arsenal will be desperate for a win after yesterday's draw. Ramsey will start as a holding midfielder but he'll soon push up the field leaving Flamini isolated in the middle of the park. The other clear weak link in the Arsenal defence is Mertesacker who's about as slow as my grandmother on medication. We have to target him. We don't have Shaqiri but we still have Johnson & this is the perfect game for those cross field through balls. So I would start with -
-------------- Butland ---------------
Glen --- Ryan ---- Wolly --- Pieters
------- Whelan ------ Affelay --------
Walters - Van Ginkel / Adam - Arnie
-------------- Joselu ----------------
What do you think?

My plan would be kick the shit out of them, play Walters and Crouch up front get as many balls as possible into the box.Make it a dogshit of a game wit us winning it with a Shawcross bullit header in the 90 minute. If we were to win only to win 2 games in a season I would want it against this slag of club.

Whilst I think both Whelan and Affelay are good players. I think they are an awful pairing as defensive midfielders.Too easy to run through and a lack of stature and strength combined. We win nothing aerially also in their.. I think we desperately need a big powerhouse in midfield to possibly replace Whelan as Affelay is a better passer. We require someone with stature and presence.

Glen Whelan is a fantastic player and has been tremendous for Stoke over the years, but there is definitely someone out there who is better and will improve our presence in midfield.

On MOD last night I thought they looked quite sharp at times, and so our defence needs to be at its best.
However if Liverpool can score 3 against them, no reason why we can't score a few also.
They won't be looking foreword to their visit.
