Sky is garbage.
Always grovelling to the big teams..I'd rather flush £30 a month down the karsi than subscribe to that shite.

Didn't see the coverage but I've got no problem with them focussing on Man Utd. They're currently utter shit while we're on form.
I want Liverpool to approach the cup tie expecting to win. We know we're good enough to beat them comfortably. I don't want them to approach it like that.

I think it shows disrespect toward the home team to have an ex-pro from the opposition as a pundit and no-one in the other corner so to speak. I love it though when it blows up in their faces and the guest has to agree that his old 'superior' club lost. Dean Saunders springs to mind when we battered his old club at the Villa ground, you could tell all of the 'praise' he was giving to Stoke was through gritted teeth. I think there was a old Stokie in the studio that day too, I can't remember who it was.
For fairness and balance there should be ex's from both Clubs surely...

Today was always going to be about Man Utd. The media has been sharpening its knives all week in anticipation of LVG taking another tumble. All the pre-match hype has been about their visit to the Britannia, not our game. Like so often, we were just the support act, or at most, the antagonist in this particularly Greek-style tragedy. As stated above, that's probably a good thing because it works to our advantage in subsequent games.

Watched the recorded game after I got home. Lost count of the times we were told that Ryan was playing against his ex team. No mention of the fact that he was considered excess to needs, or not good enough, and off loaded to us.

Ffs we moan at everything. I'm happy the media make it nothing about Stoke.

Millions follow MUFC all over the world that's why they are the story. That's why it's so much sweeter when we beat them , but to beat them playing better football on every part of the pitch now that's a story. Better keeper, better defenders , better midfielders, better attackers. What a time to be a Stokie,

The world's media as a chorus narrating the self-inflicted downfall of a once great man (either LVG or Man Utd in a metaphorical sense). All the classic ingredients. For Greek comedy you need lots of knob jokes. Oh, hang on......... .

I just have a bit of a bee in my bonnet regarding the phrase when used to describe any tragedy.

The problem with football media bias is that since the top division clock was reset to year zero (scorched earth erasing history) with the advent of the Premier League is that Stoke haven't been performing in the top flight long enough in recent years to have any former players who are recognised and media friendly to be invited as known faces to add their two penneth in the studios.
