Would be a shame for us not to at least give him a run in a couple of cup games, see what he can do for Stoke. I've heard nothing but good things about him from most people.

Fergy has been trying to get him out of Manchester for the past two seasons but Gibson isn't having any of it, at least thats the impression I get from various articles I've read. Not surprised if Fegy has decided to let him rot in the reserves until he agrees to move. Trapattoni really wanted him to come to Stoke as it said it would toughen his game up and improve him. Personally I wouldn't mind him him, although he's not that much better than Whelan, and only 3 years younger than him.

Absolutely gutted :-( hope it isnt the end for him, he doesnt deserve the run of bad luck with injuries he's had. If it is his last game for us then at least its some tiny consolation that in his last game he netted against The Vale! Come on big guy, get better soon!

ps are Rode NT1A recording mics as good as they read? thanks again They are very good, however in my opinion Shure make the best microphones for both recording and performing. I'd suggest something like the Shure PG42 for the studio, and the SM58 for live gigs etc.

Quite scary, mine was 4,939,110,055 when I was born, but seeing as I'm only 23 years old then thats a massive increase in such a short time!

All I can say about the release of Skyrim is "Goodbye life!!!". I spent over 100 hours on Oblivion (granted I was a lazy student then), but Skyrim looks even better!

GTA 5

GTA definitely dissapointed in a lot of ways. More than anything I just didn't like the story, thought it was a bit too serious in lot if ways and lacked the humour of VC and SA. They also made the game so that there was no dead space on the map and that everything was compact, although I prefer the massive scale of San Andreas, I also really likes the RPG elements of it too with the total customisation of your character. Hopefully we will see more of this kind of stuff in GTA5

Finally this thread is back on topic about the best American sport and not that rounders rubbish! ;D So who else went to Wembley at the weekend then? I know a few people were talking about it when this thread started off. I've got to say that I had an absolutely superb weekend embracing all things NFL. Went to the fan rally at Trafalgar Square on Saturday with 40,000 others in glorious sunshine downing a load of Buds, watching the legends on stage and most importantly... THE TAMPA BAY CHEERLEADERS! Sweet Jesus those girls are gorgeous. The tailgate party outside Wembley on the Sunday was more of the same but bigger and better, and most importantly with even more of the cheerleaders! Great to see the likes of Jerome Bettis, Marshal Faulk and Richard Dent as well. Then the game itself was also really enjoyable and considering how many people say that watching it live really drags I was amazed at how quickly it flew by. As much as it pains me to say it, I've got to admit Jay Cutler was really impressive and I certainly appreciate/respect him more now than I did before the game. Matt Forte also looks unstoppable in this form and his opening touchdown was a joy to watch live. It looked like the Bucs would never get back into it with Freeman having an absolute shocker but they did their usual trick of staging a late comeback to make it an exciting finish. Overall the Bears were good value for their win though. All in all it was a great weekend and the atmosphere around the whole thing was really laid back and enjoyable with none of the bad blood that you'd get if it was an English football event. Stoke tried their best to ruin my weekend but I'd adopted the tactic of expecting the worst with us being away so that way they didn't disappoint me! Sounds awesome, couldn't make it this year but watched the game and seemed a good one, atmosphere seemed great too!

Ah well, only just got over the boredom of Sundays game, one of the worst Seahawks games I've ever witnessed. Credit to the Browns defence, but the reffing was rediculous. It also doesn't help that we are having to rely on Whitehurst at QB, and Sidney Rice hasn't really wowed me either, made some realy sloppy mistakes. Hopefully we will have Lynch and Jackson back for our next game. Bring on the Bengals!!! That was the 1 o'clock game we had on TV in the Cincinnati area... Fuck me... Painful Still, you have the Bengals this week. Should give us both some more excitement! We will have a chance if the above mentioned players are fit as we are at home, but I'm not holding my breath. As long as it's more entertaining then Sundays game (which won't be difficult surely!?) then I'll be happy

Hoping to get to Seattle next year to go and watch the Seahawks, would love to take in a Sounders game too, Seattle sports fans are some of the best in the world. The Seahawks fans have a lot of similarities with Stoke fans, loudest in the league and known as "The 12th Man", I assume the Sounders fans will be the same!

Owen Hargreaves for free or Peter Crouch for £12 million now let me see...? Hmmmm... Don't think Hargreaves would do that well for us as a striker alternatively you could compare him to Palacios, and I'm glad we got him instead of Hargreaves. I am happy for Hargreaves though, always a shame when a great talent is hindered by injury.

Great result but what an dire game. Don't agree with that, was a proper heart in mouth match with some unbelievable defensive displays to deny our toughest opponents in the group 3 points at home. That certainly isn't dire in my opinion!

Only through some major drastic occurrences like mentioned above (injuries/change of ownership) can I see us being relegated under Pulis. If there's one thing he can do better than any others manager, it's saving a club from relegation.

Although I have no problem with when people leave the ground (have to leave early myself occasionally due to work etc) I do have a problem with people just standing there on the steps or by the block entrance as it really does ruin it for other people. If you want to leave, leave. If you want to stay, stay. But do one or the other.

I'm a Huskies fan myself, gutted the Seahawks never went for Jake Locker in this years draft, one of the best college QBs in the country, a proper West Coast QB.
