Disappointing game coming up for Stokies!! I'm not bothering with the game tomorrow. Going to spend some quality time with the family and check the inevitable result come 5pm. I'm really depressed with us at the moment - and sadly Stoke are my shining light in times of need

For me yes. The last few home matches have been wank in terms of excitement, energy and most importantly results. We have pissed points up the wall to WBA, Wigan and Villa. Add to this the losses to QPR and Newcastle earlier in the season. I'm not at all confident that we'll beat Sunderland (I'm usually very optimistic). We need a spark or freshening up somehow - very lacklustre at the moment

Wouldn't surprise me tbh.
Mint signing for them if it happens - maybe thats why QPR got rid of Warnock - don't think those two would get on ;D

That was awesome. I'm not ashamed to admit I screamed a massive YYEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!! when that went in. ;D Strange to celebrate a bitter rival team who we're striving to finish above in the league beating a team who are realistically a million miles away from us in the division. Thought the same - just us 2 then ???

Accept your apology Mystical, however a night's sleep won't change my opinion. We will not progress with TP in charge, unless he changes his tactics, I don't think he will do. He won't change his tactics. He will continue to use the blueprint with improved personnel

I want Stoke to be a top 4 contender season in, season out.
The problem with my aspiration is that you either need boat loads of cash to fund such a venture - obscene amounts
Or you have to be a club that has been in the top flight soaking up the cash for decades. Become a 'name' that everyone believes have always been a top flight club etc... even then it doesn't guarantee shit!!
At this moment in time and for the next 5 years I am happy to stay in the division and make up the numbers

Listen fellas, me and the missus have had the same 2 seats in the Brit since it opened, and before that 2 season tickets in Block C at the Vic for 15 years, before that I stood on the Boothen. I'm entitled to an opinion. If I am talking drivel, like some idiot without a brain suggested, then perhaps you can tell me whether you actually agree with his tactics, especially away from home. Away from home our tactics are piss poor and I am unable to defend TP's policy. I do however believe that he is the best man for the job overall. My reasons are as follows: He genuinely cares about Stoke City and Stoke on Trent He works his knackers off in trying to establish and improve us I believe that stability and structure is vital in making Stoke City a mainstay in the top flight With TP in charge, we won't get relegated

But we will never have a better chance of beating these twats on their own turf. So please TP put a decent team out to give the fans hope of a good performance and importantly a valuable away win No chance mate!!

I may well get slated for this, and, before anybody says it, this is not an over reaction to losing to a average Newcastle side. Tony Pulis will go down as an absolute Stoke legend for what he has achieved, cup final, Europe staying in the prem. Not so long ago he said if we stayed in this league for 3 years there would be a plan for going forward, have I missed it ? An interview on Radio Stoke this afternoon he said " we want to stay in the Premier league " Alan Pardew was also interviewed " we aim for the top 10 ". No other side now in the Premier league plays like us, times have changed, all others pass the ball and try to play positively, we will never progress with midfielders not allowed to go over the halfway line. Mr. Coates allowed our Manager to spend £8 million on Palacious, what has Mr Coates got for his investment, a player yet to start a game in the league. It's time for change, either tactically, or somebody else in charge to change it. Are you being serious?

1 We play a percentage game and tonight, as usual, it got us a goal 2 We play to keep a clean sheet. With Wilson at Woodgate in defence, we will simply not keep cleans sheets. This is where the problems lie. Thing is though, Mr Pulis was a defender as a player and is a defensive minded manager. He is also one of the best people in the game at spotting a top defender. So how come he plays these 2 when it is blindingly obvious that they weaken our basic platform in a match??

how the hell can Crouchie be singled out for flack!! Unbelievable, as has been said so many times, you could put Demba Ba in that side tonight and he wouldn't get a sniff! I agree totally. We are sterile, slow and predictable. We create the sum total of fuck all from open play. Any striker would struggle to score in our set up. I don't think that Crouch helps the pace of the game though either. He is a good player but he's not rapid is he?

Keith Scott is the single most wankest footballer that I have ever had the misfortune to watch play for us. I would choose Marco Gabbiadini, Oneill Donaldson, Paul Stewart and Bruce Dyer before him.
Peter Crouch is a good player but unfortunately we need a striker that takes the game to the opposition with pace and skill.
As a few others have already stated on various other threads, Crouchie is the wrong player at the wrong time ???

look decent, We're crying out for BA and what i wouldnt give for gutierrez. They never stopped going, had a answer to all our set pieces. stopped us playing our dreadful way. Roll on fucking bolton. Fcukin roll on Bolton - we will give them the obligatory 3pts blow job that we always dish out to whoever is in need - I am dreading it

we were shocking tonight but it is not a lot different to all the games this season so far....only previously we've managed to score more from the set pieces and not make silly mistakes at the back. with the ball we have been shocking all season and never looked liked scoring from open play. I agree

Important points pissed up the wall by us tonight. We get sweet FA from away games so how do we compensate points-wise for this cock-up?! The hard work of taking points from Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool is negated by tonights game. Pissed off
