Thanks for that Bunny, great watch. I never knew the link with Perreira either. It was just a shame that in the studio Shearer and Hansen didn't appear to have much idea what was going on apart from piping up with the 'oooh, he played until he was 50' bit. Thought the same. Would have been interesting to hear Seedorf's opinion too. After a crappy day, with thoughts of overpaid and overhyped England players letting you down, it's nice to finish with a true footballing man who helped underprivaleged black africans during the apartheid era play football and ironically coach them the modern game in 1975 - which our England team can't play in 2010!!

we have never had a better chance to show the media and top 4 team loving tabloid gutter press, that we are not just here to make up the numbers! liverpool are there for the the taking ,,, it is up to us to go out and show no fear..! Come on boys!!!!!!! Lets hope for the kind of fight we showed against Chelsea rather than the limp effort against Man Utd. If we play as we did against Fulham - I've got no doubts - come on Tunny

Stein Sheron Larus Sigurdsson Thorne
Disappointed me more with Sheron, Sigurdsson and Thorne because they moved sideways at best.
At least Steino moved upwards and proved himself in the top flight. (sure he held the prem record for consecutive goals. 13 on the bounce if memory serves correctly)

My good god - Fat Nev!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember that season - shudder~~~~~~~ I had a season ticket on row 4 of the Boothen behind the goals. Stoke fans had taken to piss-taking our own players due to us being completely awful and dreadful - (Paul Stewart, Marco Gabbiadini to name 2 others that were well past their sell by date) I remember one guy yelling at Southall to move his fcukin fat arse out of the way so we could see the game ;D Southall turned round, shook his head and rubbed more vaseline into his kisser - ;D

If 17th will do for alot of fans on here, season after season just for the privilege saying we are in the premiership, then i say they are wasting there money.if fans don't show any ambition don't expect Pulis show any....in fact you are saying you are glad to put up with any shit as long as we stay up......we may as well close this board down now Long term aims m8!! 17th WILL DO for this season and next so that we can build the club for the future. Of course it's a bit too close for comfort but, I honestly believe that Stoke can become a decent established club in time at this level. To finish top 10 this year and next followed by relegation would be pointless for example.

I don't think you should critcise people who pay a good perecntage of their wages to watch Stoke because they don't sing. I know people who go to the football and sing their hearts out; others who spend all their time "kicking each ball" and others who don't sing or shout. They all support their team. Not saying they don't support their team but, the people who sit around me are the very same who were vocal last year but not this?! I find it all bewildering - even if we have nothing to shout about - last season that wouldn't have mattered yet this year it does ???

I think what you say is correct but to my mind, fans should be fanatical - whether we are a bag of shite or playing stuff Madrid would be proud of - as supporters we need to be roaring our knackers of and give everyone a kick up the arse!! yes we should be fanatical all the time, but its a fact of life that the more times you get let down the less enthusiastic you will become. Good point but I can't believe how so many supporters can become so downhearted so quickly - 2nd season in the Prem and been on an upwards curve since TP came back.

performances on the pitch will get the fans shouting again, nothing more. the players have the role to play ,not us, and don't think its any other way. i sky plussed the wigan game and watched it later that night, and there was a point where we, the crowd, were getting very vociferous. pulis shouted to whitehead, not to get sucked in to what was going on with the crowd he then always before a game says we have to get behind them, well we do, we would just like to see it reciprocated by the players, by putting in performances that produce results. I think what you say is correct but to my mind, fans should be fanatical - whether we are a bag of shite or playing stuff Madrid would be proud of - as supporters we need to be roaring our knackers of and give everyone a kick up the arse!!

Some people may not agree, but we ARE a better side than last season, and with that comes greater expectation. We've seen in recent games that the atmosphere is getting worse at the Brit, against Wigan, where was the roar that spurred us on to win at home to Man Citeh and Arsenal last season? Where were the ear-splitting Delilahs? Do we need to be told we're shit and going down to get us singing? I hope to god we really get singin' against Brum otherwise we'll soon lose our awesome reputation and spirit amongst the fans, and we'll become just another middle of the road club like Bolton or Blackburn. Gooarn Stoke Feel the same m8. This season we have not been anywhere near our best - and as you point out, the Wigan atmosphere was as flat as a pancake!! I don't believe that we are playing with the same energy, passion and tempo that we have come to expect from the past 2/3 seasons. We are poorer for that imo, irrelevant of the better personnel we now have and hopefully will have in the future - we as fans, players and club need to be up and at em every game - whether it's the likes of Wigan, Burnley that we are playing or Man Utd, Liverpool etc... I sit in the Seddon and the atmosphere was electric at times last season, however the same mad bastards that were foaming at the mouth and intimidating the opposition seem to have lost their mojo!! I still shout, sing and generally act like a loon for the 90 mins but aren't backed-up by a lot of the people around me - instead they are either moaning or having a chat about what was on T-V last night, sitting on their hands or asking if anyone wants a f****ng boiled sweet ??? 'WE ARE THE PEOPLE' don't forget this. Nobody else could give a flying fcuk about us - I support Stoke City with all my heart and carry on the tradition passed down to me from close family members who have passed away ( I really do feel a connection to them when I'm at the game and am representing them too) Don't get me wrong, we have been playing really flat this season and it is frustrating, but if we don't raise the energy levels in the stands and on the pitch - then what is the point! Stoke fans to me are like family in evey sense, from the bond we share to the in-fighting and bickering that happens in every household - and like family you get dissapointed, peed off and angered but it's still in your blood and you still love em'

Would like to watch it in a 'Stoke' pub rather than Hanley/Newcastle because in the past the coppers have stopped pubs showing the game for fear of incitement in town centres etc...
My brother and old man are visiting and wanted to take em' somewhere comfy ;D
