It looks and feels like we could well be fucked. Results being picked up by the shit teams around us and if we lose today I think we’re finished with Plymouth to put the icing on the cake

Iverson
Hoever Rose McNally Stevens
Burger Thompson Baker
Bae Campbell Leris
We need to get the points today and for that to happen, Laurent and Ennis need to be nowhere near the team. We’ve got to get at Sheff Wed and battle otherwise we’ll be on the end of a catastrophe

Yep as others have said the board are 100% to blame. Shit rolls downhill after all
Ask yourself this - if you owned a business and continually employed incompetent staff and numpties who’s fault would that be??

If we keep 10 clean sheets there’s 10 points straight away and safety!! We all know that won’t happen though… need to start scoring goals from open play and working the opposition keeper
I thought we were very sluggish and slow in attack last night which gave the Leeds defence plenty of time to organise and get defenders in postion.

They've made two good decisions in 30 odd years. 1. Appointment of Luigi Macari 2. Appointment and giving free reign and financial support to Anthony Richard Pulis. Every single thing they've done other than the above has been directionless, ill-informed wank. We've got two options with the current ownership: 1. Hope that, by sheer luck, they finally happen on something that works (be it managerial appointment or bringing in outside expert help to run the club efficiently and effectively). 2. Fuck them off and hope that someone or some entity who knows what they're doing takes the club on and halts the decline. Carrying on as we are will see us in the National League within 6 years, I guarantee it. But they’re good local and loyal fans But they’ve got the clubs best interests at heart But without them we’d go bust But real fans support any old shit But real fans would follow this club to the diadora premier

I'd have sacked him Saturday 🤷♂️ And replace him with who? Mmmm I’m gonna go someone British who won’t change a damn thing… it’s been part of the process for the last 7,8,9 years Up the Potters

Personally I’d love to be going toe to toe with Crewe again. Brilliant stuff And see how football should be played… the ‘Crewe Alex way’ carpet football, Brazilian style opulence from south Cheshire

It’s a double whammy situation for todays game… we won’t win 3 in a row (when do we ever) and losing Travers means we’re basically fucked whenever the opposition have a shot on target.
Comfortable Middlesbrough win and a tough couple of months coming up

No point sacking another dour British manager to replace with another dour British manager… that is all this board knows and facts back up that that’s exactly what they’d do if they gave Neil the boot
The blueprint seems to be new manager loses more than he wins and eventually grinds everyone down with lower mid table dross. Gets sacked and gets replaced by the exact same manager but with a different name. Then he loses more than he wins and eventually grinds everyone down…

A proper pasting today… mauled by the the tigers the other week and fucked by the foxes this week - 4-1.
Be interesting to see if the Stoke fans turn on the manager or just a mass shrug of the shoulders and exit on 70 mins for an early get away home and cry

I think there should be a rule where you have to stick with your manager that you appoint for the season. If he’s shit and relegates you by Xmas then that’s your own fault as a board for not doing your homework. Every manager gets a full season minimum before the club can change

right now Nathan is on his knees on his gold plated floor (paid for by his shitshow for us and Southampton) praying to the almighty that he can get another whacking contract at Wednesday and get a pay off in 6 months time Great work if you can get it… rinse and repeat

We might have played ok, but we’ve not improved on last season. We’ll be bottom half again. Haven’t heretofore called for Neil’s head but I just don’t see enough improvement and continuing with Laurent has him on very thin ice for me Yeah must admit I was expecting us to be top half and pushing for the play offs this season after what seemed an exciting recruitment drive and maybe an actual plan but we’ve lost shit loads of games already and look all over the place. Thought we gave it a go tonight and a draw would have been a fair result but it’s Leicester next up and with all the injuries another defeat. No chance are we finishing top half and it’s depressing and just acceptance to me that this is our new reality… scraping bottom half finishes in the championship every year - woopy do

We have an opportunity to ‘scout the world’ for the best players we can afford but no, let’s scout from an hour up the road and maybe an hour down the road. Stoke won’t get back in to the top division for decades until we sort out our infrastructure

We are now 9 points above the relegation zone and 10 points behind the play offs. Talk about mediocrity As things stand talking about mediocrity is a massive relief. Isn’t it just… The board have played a masterstroke in ‘managing expectations’

As we agree we can ignore Nathan, where do you see the problem? I think the board and the structure are a massive issue. But I think the manager has too much control. A good manager would get us winning as it’s their ship to sale. I don’t think it should be that way. Peter Coates himself said that he believes once you have your manager in place you let him ‘run the football club’ or words to that effect. On one hand that’s amazing to be given such free reign but modern football dictates that the manager is the coach and he does need a support structure around him. The problem with SCFC is that whenever a manager leaves the club he takes the ‘infrastructure’ with him. Every other club takes their manager in and out like a chess piece or a Lego man and slots the new guy into an already existing structure therefore causing less trauma to the club. Stoke need to get the best people in place to create a structure, ethos and right way of doing things that any manager can slot in to and thrive - until we do that we are doomed to the hit and hope approach that we’ve been punting on since Hughes sacking

If they'd been serious about a review they would have got an independent view, not just sat in their own echo chamber wanking each other off and saying they'd be back in the prem within a season.[/quote]
:-D wanking each other off in an echo chamber… now there’s an horrific vision and erm sound :-D

Tomorrow is arguably one of the biggest games in our recent history. Win it, and we should start picking up. Lose it and I fear the club will go into a tailspin that will be very difficult to get out of. One thing is for certain, we can't afford to go into the World Cup break in the bottom three. Jinxed it now I’m fully expecting us to be bottom 3 by the time the World Cup kicks in
