My first reaction was, So what! It's a royal baby and I don't care. It's not as if this has got anything to do with black people.
My second reaction was, The kid has black heritage, what a fucking dense thing to do as a joke.

So goodbye to Team Sky and hello to Team Ineos. Different name but they're still getting the same negativity from every angle in the media and from the cycling fans. Tour de Yorkshire starts today - really looking forward to it, but anti Team Ineos protests are sadly expected. The new Team Ineos kit is predominantly black with red (officially crimson). It looks very similar to this year's Sky kit but with the red replacing the blue bits. Whether they're popular with the media or fans or not I'll definitely be supporting them ! It's just like supporting Stoke City; nobody likes us and... well that's it I think.

St Georges Day has been a complete non event in this country for donkey's years, it's only been a thing quite recently. And when I say a thing, I mean it's just a few people moaning about it not being a thing.

When I was at the uni in Stoke we did a project taking black and white photos of the industrial landscape from the cut through the Stoke/ Etruria basin. It all went pear shaped in that little pub on Shelton New Road just up from Twyfords and went into a 4/5 hour session. How the 12 of us ever got the barge back to base I'll never know. The walk out of industrial Hanley along the cut towards the arable Norton is a joy of contrasts. Graffiti gives way to grass. More so when there were working factories on the route. Which section is known as "the cut"?

Well things are falling neatly into place. Ecuador said that a deal was done that meant Assange could not be extradited to the US from the UK, so the previously dropped rape claim reappears so that we can happily send him back to Sweden.
I bet the Swedish government are going to be delighted to have Assange back with them followed by a US request for extradition.
Any attempt to extradite Assange is going to go down very badly over there.

Yes I guessed the case must rest somewhere in that technical arena. A good lawyer would jump all over that stuff. I wonder though. Did it really crash for technical reasons or did 2 consenting adults, heavily intoxicated, without life jackets , travelling at maximum speed in the dead of night strike an object and a terrible accident happened. I get that he's a cad and a coward and he won't win any popularity contests, I'm just not sure he's a killer. It was his boat and I assume he was trained to use it. If that assumption is correct then he would also know that although it's cool and he might get laid, handing over the controls to a drunk bird with was against the rules for good reason. Going back to your original point, if the friend had been male and the friend had died, the manslaughter outcome would have been exactly the same. The only difference is that sex was involved and that's why we are talking about it.

I find the whole very troubling. On one hand the rape charge felt utterly dubious at the time it was made, and nothing has changed to suggest the charge was not spurious.
Making the assumption that the charge was politically motivated and untrue, I find Assange's motivation for seeking asylum to be justified; it's what I would have done in the circumstances. Skipping bail sealed his fate as it was always going to be a matter of time before Ecuador would succumb to pressure from the US to revoke his asylum.
The release of the Chelsea Manning data and the information from Snowdon was double edged as it put lives in danger and and probably cost some too. There is an argument that the release of the information was for the greater good and I fall on that side of the fence.
Where things get murky is where WikiLeaks are fed information by states to do specific harm to other state's interests and this for me is where I have a problem with Assange and WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks seem to bury their head in the sand when it comes to their decision making process on what to put out there, much in the same way that UKIP abdicated from the decision making process in the European Parliament by just saying "No" to everything. Just putting everything out there as long as it appears to be true, is irresponsible at best and this is where WikiLeaks differs from the main stream press.

Just seen a clip of the shooting, didn't have to search for it, it was just there on Twitter, saw 5 seconds of it before I had to look away. The guy was using a camera strapped to his head and it made it look like a sick video game.
Sick doesn't get close to what they did.

It turns out that the company that supplies the satellite data that lead to the decision to ground the planes, sent the data to the FAA in the US on Monday, and to Canada on Tuesday night (don't know when the CAA got it in the UK). The UK acted very quickly to ground the planes and Canada were much faster than the USA to act. The US were pretty much the last country to act upon the data. Where are the planes made Ritchie? Surely you're not suggesting that the leaderless FAA was influenced by The Whitehouse and Boeing?

Also Tim Minchin did this song about him just a few years ago, protesting his refusal to come and answer questions about another allegedly abusive priest. To the surprise of absolutely no one it turns out he was at it himself I've never paid any real attention to Tim Minchin, but I will now!

Or why people like Pell turn to religion... My cousin was a catholic bishop, one of his earlier jobs in the priesthood was to help the police in abuse allegations against priests. His definition always was priests don’t become paedophiles but paedophiles became priests, because it allowed them to be alone and trusted with young vulnerable children. All religions have suffered with this horrendous abuse and it’s disgraceful that so many have been allowed to abuse the vulnerable for so long. I think there is something in that, however I believe that entering into a vocation that represses sexual impulses is going to lead to these impulses being released in abnormal ways.

Three years and 8 months subject to appeal and banishment from the Pope's inner circle of advisors.
George Pell: Cardinal jailed for child sexual abuse in Australia
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-47549297
Bit of a shocking statistic in there that an estimated 7% of the Catholic clergy in Australia have abused children. It's no wonder people are turning away from religion. Or why people like Pell turn to religion...

I don't know, and I don't want to know, just give me my bacon bap. Preferably with a runny egg and brown sauce.

US politics is screwed no matter who is in power. Unless personal interests are at least curbed in some way. Have a listen to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez go some way to showing that US politics is corrupt from the bottom to the top. They are all on the take

Seens like there is a resurgence in cassettes, especially among certain underground scenes, I guess its the practicality. Can't be the audio quality as there isn't any!! I had a Rotel cassette deck back in the day and you could barely tell the difference between it and a CD.
