I've spoke to T.P. alot about Fuller while he (Fuller) was still here and afterwards. Tony knew it was the right time to let him go (mainley to upper body strength, shoulder issues) but no way tried to kick him in the balls and humiliate him like some say. Tony loved and still loves Fuller. (some stories where he could never loose his rag with Ric are a pisser) I have never spoken to Fuller but I get the impression that feeling was mutual. I always thought he could have stayed for longer and even told Tony that, but the fact he didn't was nothing but a pure football decision from T.P. Why hang him out to dry on the wing for his last few appearances then? Why not either play him up front or just not bother? Ric still looked useful off the bench in his last season even if his legs had started to go. Not sure and to be honest should have asked, but never did. No point me asking now, it's gone. I thought at time we were short on left, he tried it. It didn't work. I like most would have liked him to stay and come on for last 20 mins. Perhaps Ric wanted more than that.

But if it was a pure football decision to phase him out then, for me, it was arguably the biggest bollock TP dropped in his time as our manager. Despite the sterling efforts of Crouch and Walters we've never come close to replacing Ric. He was a one off and we should have been moulding the team around him rather than shoehorning him into positions that were alien to him. Yes , but where do you get another Ric??

He who shall not be named isolated him and made it clear he wanted him out for 18 months without having the balls to say so That last game v Bolton was an insult I've spoke to T.P. alot about Fuller while he (Fuller) was still here and afterwards. This is what I mean about 'fox in the box'….a very neat turn and shoot…same game against FC Twente Yes good turn and finish, but he wouldn't get that much time and space in the P.D.S.L. Premier division, never mind Premier League

I knew about this at the time, he and family were devastated he was so excited about being a grandad for the first time. Yet he never let it affect his work at Stoke. Legend doesn't cover it.
So glad Laura has since had another child. Let's hope one day he plays for Stoke.

Your stats for Hull don't make sense Good post though matey..... If you want to be even sadder you could add some win percentage stats They do now, well spotted. I knew i'd mess up somewhere. Percentages? My word, i don't know about all that mathematical malarky, somebody else can see to that I hadn't noticed just how even our record is against "the might of" Liverpool. Not bad. I am happy to be inbetween the Midlands and the North West.
North West Soccer special always used to treat us as one their own. I happy with that.

This ref has a reputation for early stoppages, it also comes in the aftermath of this- www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/260077.htmlIt was too early to stop it but i think Froch started to throw those big shots and would have ended it anyway. If you watch the replay from the refs angle you can see Groves taking heavy shots. Puts it into perspective Serps

shocking decision by the ref! Groves had froch in trouble all fight and first time groves is in trouble the ref stops the fight Correct, but I think how the fight was going Froch would have got him later. However why Groves got involved in a tear up after round 8 is beyond me. I think he had done enough already to just see the fight out.

Froch's the Johnny Walters of boxing, maybe not skilful but, 110% bottle and commitment. World Champion with 10 or 11 defences! Yes I think Walters would take that!

We'll go 4 up first half, then hang on for a 4-3 win.
Either that or 0-0 and we both can't hit a barn door with a shovel
