I appreciate that he wasn't a player Mark Hughes signed or played here but, why have we not made a move for him? I'm also surprised TP hasn't made a move as well for Palarse.
Someone with his experience and attitude can only improve your youth players just by listening to him.
Good luck Rory

Great news for Rory but sad news for Stoke City.
He really should be involved in our club. What better example could we have for aspiring young players? A fine individual as a person and a player, a superb footballer and a bloke of immense character.

He lives closer to Derby and both his kids are at Derby Academy. Makes sense for him to go to Derby even if we did make an offer.
Good luck Rory.
Just qualified as UEFA B coach

Yeah, all the best Rory. Still a Stoke hero to me. Hope he cuts his teeth at Derby & then comes back here to take us forward! (in whatever capacity!)

All the best, Rory (and don't forget to send the good 'uns over to Stoke!)
Deserves every success, can't speak about the bloke highly enough.

And Chris Riggott, who played a big role in nine of our last ten games of the promotion season. Good luck to both. Knowles is back? I used to enjoy your posts back in the day (i've been on here since 2007 under numerous pseudonyms) and i was mentioning you on here not long ago. Welcome back

I'm amazed we didn't bring him in as a staff member to be honest.
Good luck Rory.

Since we have the likes of goalkeeping coaches now, can't we have him back for 1 day/week to be "our throw in coach"?

If TP was still here I'm sure he'd have tried to sign Rory up as a coach, best of luck to him - a true professional.
If we're bringing back former players I'd sign up Hoekstra and Shtaniuk, ultimate offence and defence coaches!

Top bloke is Rory and having met him personally around Derby he's got time for anybody especially a stokie.Great move for him with his family home being in Allestree/Duffield about 3/4 miles from Derby's training ground at Oakwood.

Chris Riggott was pretty dreadful for us wasn't he? Another centre back who got shifted to right back because.......I have no idea why.
Would love Rory in our academy, shame.

Good luck Rory - hoped it might happen here but Derby is such an obvious move for him too. Wonder how many long throws he'll breed up there?

I remember him being assured and hoping we would sign him when we got promoted. Probably being harsh tbh, the only loanee defender we had that season I really wanted to sign was Zak. Never liked Cort, Griff or Pugh, still don't.

That's a terrific place to start his new career. A stepping stone back to TMP's back room maybe. Best of luck Rory and thanks for your time at the Brit.
