How many of you have a second team and why. For me , mine is Leicester, simply because I was born there, moved to Stoke aged 2 when my Old man left the RAF and got a job at the Mich....

Brentford - Because we beat them in the play offs in 01/02 and we have never looked back. Whereas they ... ... bought out an owner, made the play-offs (again) twice (and lost, both times), been fan owned, have been relegated, been promoted (again) and now have a new owner (who everyone seems to like, which is always nice). And they are currently 2 points clear of the Wankies, at the top of L1!OMG! OMG!! OMFG! This is the year! Gooooaaarrnn you Bees

York City. We moved from Yarnfield near Stone to York when I was 10. I was devastated. I was taken to watch York City to try to cheer me up, and watched them throughout my teenage years, until I returned to North Staffs at the age of 18 to go to Keele.
Even today, if Stoke aren't playing are York are, I'm almost always there. I hated it on the 5 occasions the two clubs have met in the nearly 50 years since then. Season before last it was great to see them win twice at Wembley within a week, to win the FA Trophy and the play-off final to get back into the Football League.
The two clubs have Denis Smith in common, of course, along with a few others such as Sean Haslegrave, Viv Busby and Paul Barnes.

Dynamo Dresden and Real Valladolid.
Lived in Spain and Germany for a bit. Have a soft spot for most of the ex East German teams to be honest, look out for Union Berlins results as well, their fans are awesome.
Love it now pretty much all Bundesliga 2 games are on Bet365.

Enfield Town F.C. of the Ryman Premiership are the only other score I look for.
Followed them (in their previous incarnation) home and away before my parents decided I was old enough to watch Stoke other than when they were in London.

Used to be me best mates' team, Darlington Town, but they became defunct. Sad that another name on the Saturday teleprinter of my childhood has gone. Hope some Russian billionaire with Darlo connections turns up someday.

In England it's Sheffield Wednesday and in Scotland it's St. Johnstone. Sorry, haven't got a effin clue why.

I would have everyone except for Stoke lose every week if that was possible. But since it is not then my preference is to have all the teams which my friends support lose each week. That's how bitter and twisted I am

ACF Fiorentina - Italian football has fascinated me for years, the city is stunning and I've just grown found of them. It's a pretty nice jersey as well.

Shrewsbury Town as in the 80s remember going down there with some mates when we were playing them in the league and drinking with their fans in the pub until half time , so have a bit of a soft spot for them.

Colchester United as I was stationed there for three years and followed them whenever I couldn't get up to Stoke. I LOVED going to their games and the banter on the terraces was brilliant. Back then, they were a wonderful, family club and it was genuinely upsetting when they went out of the league. I applied for the manager's job at that time and, such was the spirit at that club back then, I got a wonderful and warm response from their Chairman (Johnathan Crisp). I guess things are very different there now but they retain a place in my thoughts every Saturday.
As a kid, it was Manchester City because they had a breath-takingly good set of players in Lee, Summerby, Bell etc.

I've tried to have a second team but i just can't bring myself to really give a shit.
Over recent years this has extended to include England.
That would change instantly if Ryan was in the team.
