Refreshing and encouraging when players make comments like that.
Compare that with the fella we swapped him for. Unbelievable when you think back.

So much for that dour, passionless, couldn't give a shit Sparky eh? It's almost as if the fact that he doesn't stand there body-popping on the touchline is of no consequence whatsoever.

Yeah but he is old and useless and we should have gotten more value for Kenwynne?..... ;-)
Wonder if any of the moaners still think the same?
(Having watched Jones last night fanny about, miss a clear header and not really offer anything else can anybody still argue that? We got a mobile, eye for goal pacy striker and they got....Kenwynne....)

Excellent read.
Im liking Odemwingie more and more by the day.
Oh some one should pass on the paragraph:
Stoke is probably a better fit for me in a football sense. We play the ball to feet more, which is great for me. And more often than not I am playing off someone, rather than being the target myself. It suits my game more. It creates more shooting chances and that is what every striker wants.
To all the dinosaurs and idiots who still brand us as a pub side playing ugly football, take fucking note and wake up, this is the new Stoke and so far, Im liking what I see!.

Aaah but it's not true! We're still playing Pulisball according to 'special' members of the rimmerati.

I have always rated Odemwingie but my main concern is his age and what we can justifiably expect from him beyond this season. I think he has a great deal to prove to people since last year's transfer window debacle and missed a lot of football. Perhaps we'll reap the benefit of his enforced lay-off.

a great article
he is only costing us for 18mths what kj was costing us for 6 so as good and refreshing as he has been so far and hopefully the rest of the season the reality is anything we get next season is a bonus
still better than a CBA striking mardy KJ

Think we stuck him on an 18 monther for that reason.. he has about 18 months at top flight left in him!

I thought when we took him, he was maybe a last resort after we'd failed in signing our main targets, but he's proving he could be a great buy. He's natural finisher, mobile with pace and that's something we've been sorely lacking.

Well, that and the fact that he's a fat fuck.

In Charlie Adam we have a guy who can play a nice through ball. What we have lacked (IMO) is a guy who can get on the end of such a pass. Here's hoping Adam-to-Wingie is a theme we see repeated many times through the rest of the season.
