How people can still find a way to have a pop at Beckham I do not know. He's donating 3 million pounds of his own money to a children's charity for crying out loud, I don't care if it is public knowledge, it's bloody a marvellous gesture! People donate much larger proportions of their income to charity every day. The entire Beckham to PSG thing is a massive exercise in PR.

Beckhams situation is completely different. He didn't need to do what he did, he's a genuine good guy who doesn't need any more pr than he's got. Should have just received a wage as normal and then donated anonymously then.

Fulham Broadway is the nearest tube station, Putney Bridge is a long walk, even Parsons Green is closer! Eh? Putney Bridge and Parsons Green are both about around a mile away but Putney Bridge is slightly less than a mile and Parsons Green slightly more. Fulham Broadway is on Fulham Road but is a mile and a half from Craven Cottage. Putney Bridge is the one to use because of the pubs/walk through the park to the ground.

I dunno. It's basically Yaya Toure, Silva, Tevez, Dzeko and Aguero. The rest aren't anything special.
Man Utd have so many more options and that means they have the better squad overall. Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Nani, Cleverley, Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck are all better than any of the Citeh players I haven't listed and some are as good as or better than the ones I have listed. Rafael has pretty much played as a winger this season as well.

I'd take Man Utd's squad.
Tevez and Aguero have barely looked on it since August, Hart's lost it, they can't find a proper partner for Kompany, both their left backs are shit at defending, Silva has been in and out, Nasri's a crock of shit, Milner's a pimped up SJW, Barry's worse.
The only players to have performed to their full potential this season are Zabaleta and Dzeko. Man Utd's players are a lot more consistent; particularly the forwards.

Fuck knows what the rest of them are playing at.
Plenty of terrible defensive play from every single team in the league this season and points dropped by the top 5 or 6 against all kinds of dross.
Man Utd spent the first half the season conceding early goals and coming back to win because of their immense firepower (RVP) and look to be spending the second half cantering to a title now they've got Vidic back and can keep clean sheets again. All over by the middle of March at this rate.

I read his autobiography a few years ago. Maybe not at a high level but I'm not sure he gives a toss to be honest. Bloke lives for football. fair enough, wasn't asking cos i disagreed just wondering as i hadn't seen much myself. might give it a read,as you say he's always seemed very dedicated to his career and has a genuine love for the game to be fair to him To me he's exactly the kind of player we shouldn't be criticising. Although perhaps not as articulate or even erudite as Gary Neville, he's displayed the same level of professional commitment and honesty throughout his career that these days is getting much harder to find. Edit- oh! You modified your post to say much the same.

Could make a decent manager, Carragher. not saying you're wrong but based on what exactly? the only time we hear him talk football is on ITV when he's a pundit (and not a particularly good one at that) just seems to be one of those things trotted out when any player who's been in the Prem for years retires...ufortunately doesn't seem to bear fruit very often though I read his autobiography a few years ago. Maybe not at a high level but I'm not sure he gives a toss to be honest. Bloke lives for football.

I think over the last decade there was a time when defenders would feature quite prominently in these lists - Nesta, Cannavaro, Thuram, Lucio etc (Rio at his best around 2008 was excellent too IMO). Seem to be more goals scored these days which perhaps has seen their decline. Except if you're Bayern Munich. They've only conceded 7 goals all season and have managed 14 clean sheets in 20 league games. Shit me. Guardiola has a job on there doesn't he?! Messi Ronaldo Falcao Van Persie Y. Toure

This is far too good an idea for the club to actually organise it. Steino could be the physio for both teams! Is Steino a good physio? We should get him in full-time if he is. The crowd would get a lift every time one of our players got injured! Not sure if that's a good idea. Our entire squad would have an inferiority complex due to the only chants of any decent volume being about the bloody physio!

Surely this would be the ideal 150th celebration game now. Against anybody, it doesn't matter but focusing on a farewell to Ric in the main , Rory and Liam and Abdy and a few others that we never had chance to say goodbye to. Stoke V a Select Stoke. There is no better way to celebrate the past than appreciating the current, it would certainly have more meaning than a nothing game against Real Madrid who would charge half a bar just for turning up. This is far too good an idea for the club to actually organise it. Steino could be the physio for both teams!

I think we're screwed at centre back. But then if the Premier League is anything to go by so is everyone else. Could be plenty of goals in Brazil!

Hugely disagree with you about Di Canio though Voidy I can see why some people would mate. Perhaps, metaphorically speaking, Di Canio is a bit like a flirtation with someone dangerous and exciting after years of marriage and dull sex in a relationship that's gone stale. You know it's wrong, deep down, but there's something exciting and different that just hooks you in

"Buy 'em, you better buy 'em. These aren't stolen, they just haven't been paid for, and we can't get any more...they've told us we only buy overpriced past-it drongos so it's someone else's responsibility to sort all the transfers out, Nigel."

That's what I thought. It seems the only place its correct is on the Premier League site unless its the prediction for next week (in which case, get the bets on now ;D) Yeah, turns out the entire thing is fixed. So we're going to lose 1-0 against Reading next week. Shit. Glad I can't make it though!

The lack of transfer activity spoke volumes, and was completely expected. Butland is an investment, one for when Bego leaves, and any incoming manager will be pleased to have the England keeper on the books. Shea hardly broke the bank. I hope that the lack of activity signals significant change this Summer with the new Sky money coming in. You say that but we still put down £6 million with less than a million coming in. In the four windows he's been backed with near enough £40 million. He can't whinge about lack of activity imo. Hasn't Kemp said the figures in the press are way above those we have actually paid? Maybe Butland is £2.5m + add ons and Shea is £1.5m + add ons?

Think he only lost the ball once or twice in 90 minutes (not that he had it that many times, but still).
Trouble is it'll be time for Crouch to retire by the time Pulis works out a team and formation to get the best out of him.
Waste of a signing in a Pulis team.

It's a little-known fact that every game on the first Saturday of football league matches in 1888 ended 0-0.
Stokes away record that season was played 11, won 1, lost 10.

Yeah, Fulham game was a midweek end of season nothing game.
So that's basically the Spurs win (gooooooooooooooooooal...WHELAN!), four against teams who were absolute horseshit, one against a team just cruising for 90 minutes and four against West Brom!

Bloody hell.
No wonder Pulis has been giving it the old, "the Coates family have been fantastic for this football club" every other interview so far this season.
He's such a crafty git.
Ah well. The king is dead, long live the king. Cheers Tony, you turned out ok in the end.
