Haven't got that one yet. Still reading the last one. You're welcome to the Chambo once I'm done with it though (middle of next week maybe, get mine off a relative)...

I'd back Charlie Adam from the current squad. And maybe Michael Owen. The rest and you're probably tossing a coin.

Is this just how low pulis has taken us. A squad of players who are each paid an average of 25 fucking thousand pounds a week to play football, and we cant come up with a handful of names who can score from the penalty spot. Jesus christ!! AMF ;D

I'm not sure we've got many other candidates have we?
I know "it's only a penalty" but who would you back to score more than 50% of the time from TP's preferred team?

He was certain to score, so I'm glad he's injured. It's ok to be pleased because it's only a broken toe. If it was a broken leg, I'd pretend to be sad about the injury, as that's the social norm. I'd rather he played with a broken leg.

Norwich did one of these for their away strip about a decade ago and few other clubs have as well since I think.

My non-Stoke-supporting mate asked me after 5-a-side last night when Pulis was going to play Geoff Cameron in goal. Then followed a 20-minute deconstruction of the performance with everyone chipping in (no Stoke fans, couple of Vale and a few with no allegiance) with their thoughts. There was more confusion than anything over what exactly Pulis sends them out to do. Was all a bit embarrassing to be honest.

The other 9% were to advertising hoardings, no one in particular, Fulham players and those feral pigeons on the right hand side. Of the 91% 'accurate passes', 75% of them were backwards and 98% of them traveled no further than 5 feet. Source: optamomo And in the great pantheon of midfielders signed by Tony Pulis, which of them have been incisive, orchestrating visionaries with a wide range of passing? Do we not think the manger might want his midfielders to sit deep and keep it simple? Charlie Adam was an incisive, orchestrating visionary with a wide range of passing until he arrived at Stoke and got told to, "get close to Peter Crouch".

What is Geoff Cameron's best position in your opinion?

That is fantastic. I've asked for Tony Pulis banging a square peg into a round hole with vultures circling above and a giraffe and Duracell bunny in the background.

Bego Shotton Cameron Shawcross Wilson Kightly Nzonzi Adam Shea/ethers Jones Owen/jerome Both centre mids holding, but given freedom ie one goes forward other sits back, swap and change to confuse opposition Adam needs to play in a midfield 3, preferably just ahead of the defence to take balls off them and spread it around. We'll have to completely change the way we play to incorporate him properly. See Wigan a few weeks ago. Not going to to happen under Pulis for anything other than the odd game.

Can you still get in to watch training? If so, I might pop down on Thursday or Friday to see what kind of XI Pulis is going to foist on us before deciding whether to bother on Saturday.

To be fair to those that go away I imagine creating their own entertainment is by far the best option at the moment.
The chances of Pulis and the team doing anything remotely exciting is so slim. By my estimation the last postive thing to happen on the pitch in one of our away games was Whitehead scoring the winner against West Brom on 1st December!

I had us 12th on 44 points with a -10 GD. All very close at the end though between 8th and 15th like recent seasons.
35 points to stay up with Villa (34), Reading (34) and QPR (32) down.

There is a point behind this though MD. all for management encouragement, but for the full 90 mins? It is as though he does not trust the players at all. No wonder they seldom do the unexpected There are plenty of legitimate complaints to have about him, but these just seem a bit daft to me. It's just having a dig over every petty little thing. It's like that thread from the other week where people got themselves into a real froth over him being very accommodating when asked for autographs etc, as it was indicative of him being a horrible person. It just makes people look a tad foolish in my opinion and dimishes the value of any of the real and pertinent criticisms. By all means knock him for our perpetually poor away form and negative approach, but this sort of thing borders on desperate. He is the only manager that does it though. And by coincidence, is the only manager who sets his team out to play in such a restricted way every single game away from home. I think the bloke just needs to chill out a bit. Take a seat, make some notes, wear a nice suit and a red and white scarf.

I reckon 2-0 to them. Which, by my calculations, is no worse than losing 4-2.

Newcastle appear to have wrapped up the three points against Southampton as Hooiveld puts into his own net. JoeinOz appears to have copied and pasted something on to The Oatcake Messageboard.

We actually operated at a loss for the duration of the tournament, didn't we? I don't know. I certainly didn't make any money from it! Reckon I was -£3000 for the 7 games I went to.

Lets not pretend Matty is the answer to our woes. Hes finished. Well, yeah. But, unfortunately, at the moment, the answer to the question, "who is Stoke's best option on the left wing?" is "Matty Etherington".

It was of those things where he'd either look like a genius if he was right and they slumped until May, or claim he was only joking as part of some hilarious load of Pro-Pulis bollocks.
