Going down to the Fulham game on train, been before but never on train. What is the closest tube station to the ground? Cheers in advance!

The Bricklayers Arms across the river is a decent pub. Used to be a Timmy Taylors pub but didn't have it on last time we were there a couple of years ago.

Fulham Broadway is the nearest tube station, Putney Bridge is a long walk, even Parsons Green is closer! Eh? Putney Bridge and Parsons Green are both about around a mile away but Putney Bridge is slightly less than a mile and Parsons Green slightly more. Fulham Broadway is on Fulham Road but is a mile and a half from Craven Cottage. Putney Bridge is the one to use because of the pubs/walk through the park to the ground.

Hammersmith is alternative option. A couple in town, then a stroll down the Thames via The Crabtree.

Putney Bridge and a lot of Stokies will be in the 8 Bells pub. We are on the 7.20am from Stoke The police have banned all fans from drinking outside 8bells. It gets far too busy in there. If you carry on walking past 8bells there are some good pubs on the corner. All you need to do is sneak some cans in and then buy a pitcher of lager. Thank me later

Your advice on a trip to Fulham isn't really needed Strangeways.
It is a trip so many of us have made before and we never have a problem drinking outside the 8 Bells or in the 3 or 4 pubs situated just around the corner from it and along the main road stretch.
Perhaps the Metropolitan Police Force simply detests Manure as much of the rest of us normal folk!

All you need to do is sneak some cans in We're not a bunch of 15 year olds going to a school disco.

Been looking forward to this. Gonna head down on the train on friday. My lady lives in Putney so decided to "treat" her to a Stoke away performance!
