I can only imagine his mental if Villa score next and MC nick a winner ;D Up to about £3.5k then. I'll try and convince him to stick it all on Pulis to be the next manager to leave his post...

It feels like the football equivalent of an uprising TD. It must be how all those people in the Arab world living a life of suppressed misery and then someone sticks their head above the parapet and they find that not only does their head remain attached to their body they are joined by other people who feel the same way but up to now hadn't had the courage to show their feelings. That's what it is like now, and if nothing changes between now and the next home game I think we are going to be in whole new territory as far as the open revolt towards the manager goes. BM We just happen to be entering spring as well...

is your mate a Stoke fan? No, Arsenal. I lived in Cornwall from 2006 until January just gone so know him from down there. He obviously had to bet against his own team for this and claimed he still wanted Arsenal to win even though he was that close to the finish line. He's had 270 on Villa to score next at 11/4. Good bet.

I think I've had 8 results one week and a few 7's and 6's, but 10?! Bah.

I can see us sneaking over the line. We might be able to bully Villa and if we beat them we're pretty much safe even if we lose to West Brom. Still a lot dicier than expected though...

He hasn't covered it at the moment. Reckon he'll shit it at half-time if it's 0-0 and cover them both at shorter odds.

Let it run. Citeh will win He's leaning towards that, "because it'll be more exciting".

My mate needs Citeh to win to get £2777.34 back from a £2 bet on the results of all the Premier League games this weekend.
What's the sensible thing to do to cover the bet? Someone has suggested £250 on Villa at 7/1 and £500 on the draw at 7/2 so he'll get around £2000 back whatever the result.
Anyone got a better idea?

Stats!
They don't really give a shit though do they? There's nothing sensational about us being boring. Talksport want our players breaking legs and punching the opposition in the face or they won't be interested.

The last few editorials have mainly centred around our away form, and there was criticism of TP for his comments prior to the Man City FA Cup game. Yesterday's was about his comments about what he was trying to achieve once we reach (if we reach?) 40 points this season. Nothing about it being foolish to lose TP. Not that Smudge has actually changed his stance in any way on the future of the manager over the course of this season, but he can answer that himself. Dave, it was only a couple of issues back that Smudge wrote "the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other" article. He associated Pulis going with the devil and him staying with the angel. The conclusion was that he sided with the angel. So the OP's question and Swampy's observation are both valid. BM The entire crux of that article revolved around him saying that people could come up with decent arguments on both sides though. It's not going to take much more of this turgid crap to turn anyone from swaying towards backing Pulis to stay to swaying towards wanting him to go is it? The only crumb of comfort we've been able to take this season is that our home form has held up but now that's going to shit as well. Pulis is hanging by a thread.

From twitter: Martin Smith @solarsmudge TP is misunderstanding the root cause of supporter dissatisfaction. No one is forgetting the past - they're just worried about the future. twitter.com/SolarSmudge

It's getting close, very few people I speak to and I include senior members of the supporters club, feel he has much if any time left It's definitely shifted a bit. We're probably talking 50/50 in terms of opinion now even taking into account people being "sensible" and not wanting to ruin what has been built in the last 6 years. Beat West Brom, beat Villa, announce Pulis is going at the end of the season, have a good-old rowdy go at both Man United and Spurs and bow out on a positive note instead of it getting nasty.

Out. It's dull under Pulis. I consider myself pretty hardcore in terms of some of the shit I've seen in the last 20 years but there's a difference between being shit and deliberately playing like shit. You know what mate, that's the best analysis I've seen of it over the last 12 months. "There's a difference between being shit and deliberately playing like shit."It's true though. Life is shit enough without having to get pissed just to numb yourself against the horrors of Pulisball and make us vaguely watchable. The job he's done to stabilise us in the Premier League has been very good and I thank the bloke for that but now we're established it's time to justify the spending by playing some football. Pulis can't adapt the way we play because he's limited tactically so we should give someone else a go.

That's a decent sample size though. We could do the the poll pinned to the top of this board so a few hundred more would see it and vote. I've only just seen it myself. What did you vote? Out. why don't you look at the poll lazy arse? 69.6% of 385 at the moment. I reckon 385 is pretty near to 1.5% of our home support. Make of that what you will. Just trying to be helpful . That's a decent sample size though. We could do the the poll pinned to the top of this board so a few hundred more would see it and vote. I've only just seen it myself.

All on %'s. Shots from outside box only have a 5% success rate. why the hell aren't we taking 100 a game then - 5 goals every game! I bet the record for shots from outside the box in a Premier League game is about 20.

If you think voting will ever seriously change anything, you're heading for disappointment. What is the alternative then ? Anarchy! Well....if not....Eastleigh result: Lib Dems 31%, Tories 28%, UKIP 19%, Labour 15%, Others 7%. Call me Dave looking shaky and will be off autumn 2015.
