The veiled explanation of the recent transfer window dealings going wrong and vague references to other people not closing deals leads me to believe we have a new Moxey in the camp.

I think it's bullshit. Why haven't we signed a full back in the previous 10 Premier League windows? And we've had this from TP before, he said the same after the last window before Cartwright was here. He's had his nose put out of joint and doesn't like it imo.

Tony Pulis is a control freak and a footballing dinosaur.
I don't know very much about Mark Cartwright.

What fucking horseshit and utter ignorance. You're accusing this Cartwright bloke of things based on nothing. Would you jump of a cliff if Tony Pulis told you too? Clearly.

We appear to have put an agent on our staff so we don't have to deal with other agents....

I'd support a manager over a board run club anyday' that's my own opinion soon as the 'cartwrights' of the club takeover you end up like arsenal a "football factory" all about money in terms of sales... sales of shirts, sales of players and tickets... not trophy's and prem glory...

The manager should not be the all powerful messiah at any club. His primary job is to motivate the players and determine tactics. Obviously it helps if the players at his disposal are the ones he wants. However, he needs to be flexible in today's game and understand that transfer policy and identification of targets is a multi-discipline function of which he is but one cog. For example, if TP considers his remit applies only to keeping us in the Premier League then why should he be concerned with our youth policy? It is these differences in expectations that need to be managed by PeterCoates and family.

Do we now have to prepare ourselves for a succession of no mark ”puppet” managers, while someone (Cartwright) lurks in the shadows pulling the strings? This was the experience of the previous “Moxey”.

Looks very much like it and could herald the return to the dark old days.......which some folk on here seem to have a memory lapse about.

If PC says that the club has to move towards self-funding, We need professionals not amateurs like we have had, then 'all about money' would seem to be quite important?

So is Cartwright qualified to veto replacement for Upson and or new left back? My thoughts exactly. His title is Technical Director and he'll be head of Scouting and Player Recruitment. I presume his experience as an agent will be useful now he's on the other side of the fence. However, does he have any experience in scouting and can he judge a player on his technical merits? If not, why's he head of scouting? What technical experience does he have? It looks like from the piece on the Official Site his background is just as a blood sucking agent. It also says he's worked in "Talent Managemet" I presume he won't be having much to do with John Walters then.
