2 points from 9 against Derby, Hull & Preston sure ain’t promotion form. But 18 points from 10 games gives us very much a fighting chance, also isn't it 4 points from those 3 games

Take it on the chin and get back to how we have been playing.

Just had a gander. They seemed a reasonable bunch. Confident in their own team without being arrogant. I've heard far worse from opposing fans, funnily enough mostly from clearly smaller clubs rather than a similarish sized one like Fulham. There are certainly well informed; In midfield they have Tom Ince, Joe Allen, Sam Clucas, Vrancic, Nick Powell who have plenty of premiership and international experience between them. Upfront Steven Fletcher is always capable of sticking the ball in the net and they paid £5 million for Sam Surridge. At the back a lot of experience in players like James Chester and Danny Baath. Confidence will also be sky high in there camp after a very good start exactly the same start as us. Apart from being way off what we paid for Sam it's not bad

17 shots to 2 away from home. Nothing less than an evening of shooting practice. Anyone know what kind of a Birmingham side it was? I took a look but to be honest it didn't help, I'd never heard of any of them! 12 of which were off target - shooting practice definitely required. Saturday will be a good test. If we win great, doesn't mean we are going to walk the league. In the same way a defeat won't be the end of the world

I enjoyed it being described as ‘bovril football’ I also enjoyed the slew of comments simultaneously praising Stoke whilst killing Arsenal. Bovril football - just fantastic

Be nice if one of the forwards could grab a goal. True, but in all honesty I don't actually care 😊😊

Top 10 most of the season with a chance of the play-offs as we go into the final third of the season

That's really sad to hear - always stopped off en route from the station to the ground via the canal. Was quite often the only highlight 😀. Will be missed - good luck to them both

Or he's off the wage bill and we can put that to better use on a couple of players that want to play for us

We are not a club in remotely the same financial position as Brentford. We should not be selling quality when we have it. There is no way this can be dressed up as a positive move by the club it is merely an action forced upon it by external forces and its own incompetence. Under FFP we have our hands tied so this is a good piece of business, we coped pretty well without Collins for the last part of the season, I think this is a good deal all round. Obviously disappointed to see him go, but a replacement is already in the building and a decent looking one at that. If it provides more cash to recruit it could work out to be a good piece of business

As a Stokey from Stevenage I have seen Wilmot develop through the Stevenage academy, the first team and at Watford and can say that if we sign him we're getting a very good player. Very confident and good at defending and delegating players around. Potential future captain. Away with your sensible, well thought out and factual based assessment 🤣🤣🤣

Where did it all go wrong simple & i have said it before Coates got the sacking of Hughes wrong should have gone the end of previous season. Complete lack of vision & ambition from the owners & its still happening now. Nail on head - so much this

Having watched it I followed up with the Dispatches program from 1997. It's shocking how this was dismissed. The same names and incidents were highlighted and yet nothing was done. The FA seemed totally disinterested.

You can't pin this absolute shit show on 1 player being injured. It's a shit excuse that MON is riding his luck on Wasn't just pointing out we looked to have a 20+ goal a season striker prior to his injury. Let's hope he comes back strong and proves it

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-giannelli-imbula-celtic-transfer-4930871I know I'm probably one of only a few fans of G. here, but I can't but take note that his downfall and ours have happened almost simultaneously. While I believe we have recovered, he seemingly continues his path, much of what's happened has been self-inflicted, but even he has been victim of the way Covid has changed the game. I just wonder sometimes if both he and we would have been way better off, had we done more to integrate him instead of pushing him out and isolating him. He was a fantastic player on his day. He was a good player and proved it in the first half season, then it all went tits up. Call it lazy on his part, piss poor management in not helping him integrate, probably a mix of both.
