Fletcher has not got the legs to play the roll he has been given,he would need a younger version of Glen Whelan to cover for him.

O Dowda at Bristol City is improving all the time,Stuart Armstrong at Celtic would be a good fit for us.

I read this debate everytime it comes up and see both sides of the story but because I walk home I'm perhaps in a different position to most. As it happens, I always stay until the bitter end, not because I'm a super fan but I've only got the wife to go home to you see and quite frankly I've often thought I should get a season ticket for the North car park, just so I can sit in my car for an hour and have a bit of peace. It has however made me think we should have an alternate verse for our anthem and whilst I'm no Tony Hatch, I thought I'd have a stab at writing one while the mood takes me.. so here goes. We’ll be with you, be with you, be with you, until the 82nd minute We’ll be with you, be with you, be with you, unless we think you can’t win it We’ll be going, be going, be going, we’ll be leaving come what may We’ll be going, be moaning, and groaning, down the Stanley Matthews Way City… City… Tell the lads in red and white, we’ll be home by six tonight City… City… You were shit, so we don’t have to stay….. Might need a bit of tweaking before block 19 can sing it but you get the idea Or maybe it could be Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take anymore.

One of the most unreasonable 0 4 your likely to see, most of our team put in a good shift. Some points Ramadan was out muscled in his fist exchange with Moses and hid for the rest of the match,Jesse should change his name to Wissett,he won't be any use in a battle and Glen Johnson confirmed he ain't no centre half.Shaq and Chopa were good. Ref and lino on the dpd side were worse than Ramadan.

A view from across the Irish sea on Brexit. Most Irish people support the principle of the EU but dislike what it has become. The general feeling is for all the bullshit that it brings we are probably in too deep to leave. What happens to the border question in Ireland is crucial and I haven't seen one workable proposal yet.

One of the great things about following Stoke in Ireland is the joy you get when you meet a fellow Stokie. There is a big tie in now between Stoke and Dublin Schoolboy clubs and most Stoke home matches the flag bearers are from Dublin this has definitely raised Stoke's profile in Ireland. It was great for me when Stoke had so many Irish players but time stands still for no one and players move on,I suppose it will help when we sigh Shane Long next week.

Listening to a song on the radio "people hoping we'll be caked by the ocean" should say people hoping we'll be saved by the Bojan.

Best player at Stoke but maybe not the best player for Stoke, entertaining and infuriating in equal measure and I still haven't forgiven him for nearly knocking my block off with his peno at Swansea.

It's obviously getting closer, but it will be a sad day when Jon Walters leaves Stoke. What a player he's been for us. Not just his goals, but his attitude. He epitomised up that fighting spirit we had. He leads from the front by example, he is super fit and a winner. He brought the best out of Bojan and it seems as though the players and staff like him. Those of you who knock his ability don't know as much as you think about Football. You need different attributes in a team. You need some skill and you need some scrappers. Jon has his fair share of both of those attributes. I love the way he bullies and harasses defenders. He doesn't care for reputation. He must be a nightmare to play against. Always just catching you after the ball has gone. Always a nudge off balance when he starts his run. Always that staccato scouse in your ear. Some people will be glad to see him go. David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Laurent Koscielny, Dejan Lovren, John Stones to name but a few would breathe a sigh of relief at the prospect of not having to fight him for 90 minutes. Me, I would keep him for at least another season. As an alternative to Saido he can offer a physical presence in the opposition box. In those opening tough fixtures we might need a super fit, super committed, Super Jon to run some of those defenders around and bash them up a bit.I agree 100% with this post and you've saved me writing something similar.Thank you.
