He has been fantastic today... We have had our fair share of 'holding' midfielders but I would challenge anyone to distribute the ball as well as he has done today.
Those diagonal balls have been such a good fit for the structure Sparky is building with the wing-backs.

Definitely. He can really pick out a pass that puts the opposition under pressure. A great signing.

He is a class act.
Doesn't look out of place lining up against the likes of Pogba and influences the game so positively.

Superb signing. The type of player we've been missing for years. Age means nothing. Defensive, creative, he's got it all! And he was FREE!

The great thing about Darren Fletcher is he controls the tempo of the game. He is still pretty fit considering his age and in my opinion he was a better midfielder today than Pogba or Matic; which is very impressive. Joe Allen is still a little headless and weak but looks so much better when hes not running too far forward.

Played well today. A calm experience in the middle of the park. Whelan upgrade plus.
On the negative side though I thought Joe Allen was the very weakest link.

I'll reserve judgement until the end of the season, but Choupo is potentially an upgrade on our previous winger 😉

i just watched his post match interview on BT.
He talks with confidence and and in greater detail than most other players who go through the motions of "pleased/team game" etc
no wonder he has leadership on the pitch. I can see him being a successful manager when he stops playing (is being scottish a pre-requisite for future mgmt?)

The worst player on the pitch until his diagonal for the first goal. Then he just got better and better.

I must have said to mar mate about 50 times today (And in every game so far) that Fletcher is such a massive upgrade on Whelan it's unreal... And that's not knocking Whelan at all, he was great for us year after year for the best part of a decade but, Fletcher is on an entirely different level.
