At the old Vic most goals were scored whilst I was fetching a pint, or letting one out.

The fans performance today was like the teams performance at Bristol City. Half arsed. Bullshit mate - our fans were still behind the team rock solid at 2 0 as we had good possession and a goal would have made it very interesting with 20-25 to go - a sending off that should have been would have made it even more interesting and again the crowd made it known that Dean had fucked us over - many drifted away after the amazing 3rd went in and that is perfectly acceptable and better than booing or other such demonstrations.......

Perhaps if the club addressed some of the issues regarding the car parks then we wouldn’t feel the urge to leave a couple of minutes before time. I for one don’t relish the thought of sitting on Stanley Matthews Way for forty odd minutes, as at ninety minutes the stewards hold the cars back on the South car park for pedestrians, yet the pedestrians are mostly people who get into cars on the car parks further down the road (car parks which are not lining the club’s arse pockets) and thus letting those drivers get away before me! That situation is then further compounded by there being no police presence at the lights by the Hem Heath pub filtering the match traffic out! We used to get a police man in the sodding third division, now in the Premier League for ten years and nothing. I’m not joking, it’s taken till well after six to get home in recent seasons for me. I don’t particularly like leaving before time, but if it’s a choice between that and sitting in my car for an extra forty minutes, damn right I’ll leave early. I suppose the ground’s only been open since the late 1990’s though, we shouldn’t expect the club to have sorted too much out just yet 🙄

If we leave on about 87 mins we get the bus back to stoke and are in the glebe by 5.05
If we stay till full time there are no buses outside the ground as they are full and going into Stoke so have to wait for them to return to the ground and we don't get to the pub till well gone 5.30
It's a no brainer to leave early
If they where sufficient buses I would stay till the final whistle
If that makes me a shit fan I can live with it tbh

Wow - we seem to have reached the point where the definition of being a true Stoke fan is how early you leave. It won't be long before someone comes on here bragging about the fact they left half an hour before the game started in order to miss the traffic/avoid having to associate with the team on the pitch.
The club should erect an empty plinth in honour of "The Half Arsed Absent Fan - A True Hero For Our Times".

Why does it bother when people leave? Like you have a right to tell people when they can leave or not. I've never understood it.
I've left early once (and it was because my lift needed to get to work) and missed Brammer's goal vs Luton. So have never left early since. But it doesn't bother me. They've paid their money, they can do what the fuck they want with that time.
My only gripe as ever is that when people do leave early actually fucking leave!

It only bothers me in the sense that an half empty stadium sends a message to the players and to anyone watching - we're only behind the team when we're winning. The only game I've left early was the 0-8 drubbing against Birmingham - and that was to send the message to the players that if they can't be bothered neither can I.
I don't have the right to tell people to leave or not - as you say its up to them. All I'm doing is pointing out the message it sends. We have crap fans who are more bothered about an early tea than getting behind the team when they're down.
Leaving early sends a message. If you are happy with that message fine. But to deny you are sending that message is either disingenuous, stupid or naive.
