England, we've got some quality players, they just don't hack it/try for England, at least the Irish give it a go with the limited abilities they have.

If you want to watch a good old fashioned match where the players get stuck in and fight for their country - watch Ireland and Wales.
You know the alternative. Like watching TP football.

England. Bunch of shit players (barring Butland and Rashford) who seem to be able to kick a ball but have literally no footballing intelligence between them and who are not selected according to form by the national manager but by the corrupt money men at The FA depending on which 'big team' or 'current media darlings' they play for.
Whatever happened to players taking pride in playing for England? Just look at the fuckers during the national anthem, bunch of vacant looking twats and not a single one of them singing.

I know it doesn't fit in with your, or indeed the general agenda on this thread, but they were all singing, as was the idiot national manager.

I just can't watch England. Southgate is clueless and is simply a yes man installed by the FA. The football is dire considering he has the best English players at this disposal. None of the players play for their respective clubs in the way he wants them to in the Premier. The Premier is a fast, dynamic and unforgiving league yet we pay a tempo similar to that of a veterans game. For me, Id get Klopp in as he will at least motivate players and get them playing in the face of the opposition with some attacking threat. Any team that includes Jake Livermore in the starting line up at that level is very poor. No better than Scott Brown for Scotland and he really is dire.

The Irish were appalling. Scored early, stuck 10 behind the ball and were outplayed by Georgia for the rest of the game.

Never ceases to amaze me the number of people who still seem to find some relevance or excitement in international football. It's dreadful across the board. Even more amazing is the amount of column inches newspapers can donate to analysing some of the most tedious games ever played out. Nice jaunt for the journo's though.

As a long suffering Irish fan at least I didn't have to defend Walter (pretty shit) and Whelan(well beyond shit) for a change.

For the sheer amount of money pumped into English football, FA/staff contracts, St Georges Park, transfer fees commanded by English players... watching England is pretty tough to stomach

I can't quite fathom why whenever international football is mentioned, so many are so quick to say how shit it all is and how wank England are etc. You clearly do not enjoy it so do not watch it - if you do not take an interest for whatever reason them please refrain from commenting on it. Your lives will be much happier.
Alternatively, you could just watch / support the team and try to enjoy a game of footy. Its a bit like watching Stoke in that there are good & bad times, but just do not expect too much!

Unless there's something on the game, Euro's or World Cup, then I'm not really arsed about watching England at all. At the end of the day though, I still want us to do well even if there isn't any chance of it happening any time soon.

I wouldn't worry Pugs...these quality England players we have are the ones who when they play week in, week out in the Prem we get told how they're cheats, divers and massively overrated and only cost so much as they're English. When they play for the national side however they're all of a sudden apparently "Quality" who should be doing so much better for England..despite being the same cheats, divers and massively overrated players.

I'd love to see Hart let in a few softies tonight! The sad thing is you probably aren't the only one either. The repercussions of England losing tonight would mean that Slovakia would go into their last two games against Scotland and Malta simply needing to win both games to top the group and force England into a difficult two legged play-off to try and qualify for the World Cup. No matter how annoyed I am at Joe Hart retaining his starting place I'd be considerably more annoyed if I didn't get to watch my country compete in Russia next summer.

Surely watching that shower of shite in Russia is going to be more annoying and painful. Why prolong the agony? A Malta win might have been the catalyst for big changes. Now they scraped a win in the last few mins Hart is back in, same players, same manager, same way of playing, nothing changes and it drags out the torture. With England nit there you can forget about the WC, have a holiday and not have to suffer the inevitable pain and wish you hadn't wasted all that time watching a shower of shite and listening to the excuses.

That's the worst Irish side in over thirty years I'd say.
As poor as England look theres at least some youth and potential.
We're still light years behind the Germans, Spanish etc.
