Back four is suicide with our lack of holding midfielders, have to play a back three for that reason. We have fuck all wingers too, so I think wingbacks instead and a front two makes more sense. We could have the versatility of playing an attacking mid in home games, a 5-2-1-2. For away or tougher games we could play a 5-1-2-2 and take off the number 10 and pop someone covering Etebo and Clucas. Butland Collins - Baath - BMI Edwards - Etebo - Clucas - McClean Powell Gregory - Hogan As long as you include in Campbell in a any 2 from 3 equation upfront i would agree

I really worry some of you guys think Tyrese Campbell is suddenly gonna start scoring goals for fun I would love to think you were right - but I'm more inclined to think hes not the answer by any means - there is just no real track record to justify it . We have had players with track records who have failed when they roll up here so give him a go first then see

It's quite simple. Jack in your subscriptions and make a stand. No, thought not. Jacked mine in when they brought in separate sports, separate movie channels many years ago before B.S.B. came on the scene,Stoke have only ever been bit part players so never missed it

As if those on the pitch didn't do enough to embarrass the club today, those in the new singing section did their best to outdo them. Singing about Galatasaray. Thanks for humiliated the club even more you tossers. I look forward very much to the club shutting down the stupid singing area and closing your after hours bar. Proof those calling for it were just a bunch of holigans looking for somewhere to cause trouble. fanbanter.co.uk/video-leeds-fanbase-left-reeling-as-stoke-fans-sing-galatasaray-next-to-police-officers/100% wrong. The Galatasary song was coming from the South Stand section behind the goal. Us lot in the corner were not involved in that song. Do you condemn it though?

I thought Collins looked like an example of what we were told to expect - a young, raw, exciting, mobile side which would develop into something 'we could be proud of'... One young raw player who has had very little game time has looked in his few minutes on the pitch more likely to score than most is Campbell? Why not give him game time instead of rolling out last games failures in the hope things have changed. 5 goals pre-season very little game time since.

I've been for Jones all along, but no longer, something has to be done before it's too late. Me too,but Afobe has just scored again a player who could not get a shot away under Jones perhaps that was all down to tactics.

Listen, can we just get behind the bloke... If pro footballers cant adapt to a system or shape then thats on THEM. 4 Managers now these shithouse players have got the sack and still its not them its the gaffer!! We need to stick with and support jones... Fuck these charalatan chancers, make it known we are with the manager. They will have nowhwere to hide then,we cannot keep sacking managers because of toss players who dont want to be here!! Keep the faith, rant over. I left after 15 minutes last night not because of what was happening on the pitch but because of the attitude of some of our "supporters" and the vile abusive comments certain players had shouted at them

But why mark him down because the opposition didn`t cause him any problems?he kept a clean sheet what more can he do. It is a tricky one. I'm not sure I'd want keepers to get top marks every time they kept a clean sheet. The number of shots and awkward situations they faced surely has to be taken into account. I think I'd have given him a 7 but i'm not going to argue with a 6 - it isn't a bad score - just means he wasn't (didn't need to be) top notch. I will counter with a goalkeeper by good positioning can reduce the awkward situations he faces and even shots fired at him, well that is my opinion as a paid up member of the keepers club

Why Federici at 6? Listening on radio he sounded decent making a few good saves? Probably because he had few saves or blocks to make. But why mark him down because the opposition didn`t cause him any problems?he kept a clean sheet what more can he do.

Looks like we're probably not going to buy one so out of the deluge of mediocrity that we have to choose from could Edwards be the answer, Jones converted James Justin from RB to LB could he do the same with any degree of success with Edwards? What have we got to lose Clucas and McClean aren't the answer there. Gouranga. Why not,i converted a bungalow into a house

The club should have an agenda to promote their own youth players who are good enough. We have 4. I don't think that's too much to ask. Also employing someone with his own distinct tactics that don't run down to the academy is daft too. It should be a coherent thing throughout the club not dictated by the manager but by a sporting director. Can’t agree with that B. Manager responsible for the team period. If board want a youth playing policy, bring in a manager that aligns/agreed with that principle. My take on it is the board HAVE brought in a manager who will blood youth when HE thinks they are ready not when certain posters on here deem them to be ready.xxx

I see Everton have been rebuffed in an attempt to land Doucoure from Everton. Who knows, they might go back in for Badou. I think we should stick with a £14m valuation. That's what we paid for him on the back of a good reputation in Turkey, and he had another good season there on loan from us. Either that or a player + cash deal for Mo Besic. Am I missing something here but how on earth can Everton be rebuffed in an attempt to sign one of their own players? Could it be like wheels within wheels? always wondered what that meant

I mean into the Premier league ? Id like to think so and there is evidence to support this BUT if you want that bit of real quality and that extra edge inevitably, you either retain it or, have to pay for it. I'm understanding of, and happy with the change of approach but, remain convinced we need a couple of marquee signings to 'seal the deal' Also Far too much deadwood remains around the place, ranging from players who need to leave to pursue England careers (Supposedly - why should it make any fucking difference anyway? ) An individual who should've be sacked, those who simply dont want to play for us plus , the simple mercenary greedy bastards of modern day football down to - those who we paid big bucks for (and continue to do so) whom, would not get into my local pub team (Wimmer) I sincerely hope for a successful season for Stoke City I really do but - I cant help feeling we've just built a slightly better and more committed championship side in truth We really need to get out of this league pronto - LAST SEASON WAS OUR BEST CHANCE we really now are on plan B and we wont have a plan C thoughts ? They have as good a chance as some of our multi million pound signings,Wimmer. Imbula,Badou. Berahino offered very little so give them a chance ?

I think this one would be the first one that slightly unnerves me, and has me worried that finances are becoming a real determining factor, despite the history he has with Cousins. This would be the 4th Bosman, with possibly another to come in Whelan. Sounds like he'd be maybe 4th choice for the 2 CM roles. Doesn't seem to have much history at all as the specialist sitting midfielder, and never really played right-back professionally. Bit of a shoulder shrugger if true, but just got to back Jones. I'm sure he'll do his best with the finances on offer to mould the squad he wants. It's dull and boring but finances should be a factor. FFP is around the corner and we need to make sure we'd don't piss another load of cash up the wall. If Cousins, Gregory, Powell, Davies and Lindsay all come in for £3m it's appears good business, then I think once we cash in on Butland there may be funds for one or two big money signings providing the wages on offer are not extortionate. I have no issue with that to be fair..... If 2 or 3 of that group become first team regulars in a winning side then that is better than some our recent signings for large fees.

If he came back and had game time then this fuckin shambles of a club is doomed. Some of the bollocks on here centres around nostalgia. Go down that route and there is no progress at all. The bloke is finished, washed up and offers nothing!. Young , hungry players my arse!!. Ask Villa fans?

The fact that he isn't actually left-footed is certainly an unusual little quirk when we're looking for a left-back! Isn't he basically just kind of filling in (very well) on the left at Luton? I know there've been people like Denis Irwin who've had long careers on their wrong side, just seems a bit strange when they're your main crossers from that side? But Jones presumably knows him about as well as anyone. Neither was Andy Griffin mate He was not even a fullback until his trial,he was a winger who elected to play there during his trial period as he was most impressed with other wingers in the same trialist pool as himself

OK, I didn't realise just how out of shape I actually was. Today I woke up and my calves and my quads were that stiff and felt like I'd ran a fucking marathon. Still, I guess it'll get better the more I use it. Just nipped down Sainsburys on it, it's only half a mile each way, and that seemed fine. I am now 69 years old and had not been on a bike for around 45 years, bought my e-bike started of short trips and now do 20/30 miles a trip when weather is good and my health has improved and i love it.xxx

Yes let's sneer at the people who turned out in their millions to vote for Brexit in the first place, and are now obviously demoralised by what's gone on over the last 3 years. Would you have been happier had UKIP, which has lurched further to the right in recent times, made huge gains instead? That's the problem with a lot of remain types. For how clever and superior they seem to believe they are, they were tactically inept in the run up to the referendum and, far from learning from their errors which is what intelligent people do, they're doubling down instead by finding any excuse to goad and trample on Brexiteers. Gloating and antagonising their opposition over the results of a relatively meaningless election when there's a meaningful one on the horizon. Remind me, who are the thickos again? By tactically inept do you mean did not lie like leave?

I cannot believe how many posters have used the a fire engulfing a building with so much heritage and loved the world over to bring it into the Brexit arguments you should hang your heads in shame assuming you have any shame. It's called sarcasm. Sarcasm ,which is called the lowest form of wit.
