I'm really warming to Sohail and after having been parachuted in from nowhere I think the feeling is becoming mutual. Mild mannered, likeable and inquisitive as he is I think he is an excellent 'bounce' for our more opinionated experts and former players like Pejic and Whelan. I think he does a job similar to that of Jonathan 'Aggers' Agnew on Test Match Special, like a soft spoken wind up man for everyone from Fred Trueman to Geoff Boycott to Glenn McGrath. No point in trying to be 'Nige the 2nd', anyone attempting that would just crash and burn! Why does he say this famous OLD ground?

I've said it before, but the offside law needs to be changed so that if any part of you, that can score/play on legally, is onside then you are onside. I think the law should be to gain a unfair advantage, this drawing lines and talking of millimetres is just crazy. Perhaps even AI could be used instead of actual humans which would remove any possible biased decisions which Nuno has raised after the Everton match.

52 years ago today Stoke v Arsenal at Villa Park in the FA Cup semi final. 1-1 was the result followed a few days later by the infamous replay at Goodison Park. I went to all four semi finals in 71 and 72. Seems so long ago? I saw them all as well.

Now that we are seemingly safe, yeah chickens counting and hatching, I'd love a few other scenarios to play out. Prem.. Anyone but Liverpool to win, and Everton down. Championship..Leicester to miss out , ideally in the play off final, ideally on penalties, ideally Steptoe to miss the crucial one..Birmingham down. Div 1...Derby to miss out, Vale to survive ( tin hat on ) Div 2 Wrexham to get promoted Either Cov or Chelsea win FA Cup. Dippers to lose in Dublin. That's about it really. Anyone but Arsenal Prem. Been a great season Leeds and Soton up but think Soton blown it unless they win on Monday No interest in Vale or League 1 but always quite liked Pompey, good fans. A bit like us as a club As a ABBA member so agree on Arsenal.

Will we have a chance of making Iverson a permanent transfer? Do we want him? Does he want to stay? Food for thought No No Salade de gesier.

Went to Dublin a few years back a session in Temple bar a full Irish breakfast followed by a good walk around Dublin,we were walking passed Dunns store wife stopped to look in window i walked on a few yards not realising she had stopped,as i waited felt a rumble and out it came wife turned and walked headlong into it. Later we went to the ferry terminal and into Dunns again just to pick up a few bits to take home ,basket was nearlyfull when i struck again wife put basket on floor and left the building as they say xxx Sounds like you have a knack for getting your timing spot on! Wife now tends to walk ahead of me

Whiskey with Chili I've found is the most consistent at producing thermonuclear-level farts. Be careful doing it in public, or the "offended" bunch will label it terrorism. (Or some bloke might try to punch you out in Block 28) Protein shake consumption is directly correlated with number and pungency of farts as well. Only some of my wife’s senses have been pleased by my desire to get back into shape 😂 I suffered 6 T.I.A`s a few years back and ended up spending one night on the stroke ward and two of the patients were feed by a tube direct into their stomach`s a high protein diet when their bowels opened that was the smell to end all smells, my bed was by the window it was January and i spent most of the night with window open.

I once cleared the bar at the Coach & Horses in Stafford one Saturday night, after returning from the match. It seems a full English breakfast, wrights pie and sausage roll early afternoon and 10 pints of Guinness could create a devlish concoction out my arse. I was very proud of it but did not claim for it as the two barmaids were gagging for breath.I just moved away with everyone else muttering which dirty bastard dropped that. Was in the long line for league cup final tickets arrived early after several pints of Bents bitter and a few pickled eggs i was wrapped in a blanket as the line got shorter as people snuggled up closer to keep warm i happened upon a stool with 3 legs so made use of it balancing on 3 legs with blanket over my head, wether it was the warmth or the bitter or maybe the eggs but i felt warmth creeping up my back and could hear people blaming each other, in the end i peeked out and there was nobody within 10 foot of me, a total exclusion zone.

What is my fate for farting inside a the Dun Laoghaire store? DL was built as a port to send farting offenders on the next ferry to Liverpool as punishment Was kind of the Irish Answer to Van Diemens land in fart circumstances. Always wondered why i ended up Skelmersdale full of scousers,my fart was not that bad.

The Irish M & S ..My Mum would have had you not allowed with 100 yards of any of their stores for life if she was aware of this. You desicrated Ireland's prime cardigan supplier there What is my fate for farting inside a Dunnes like i did in Dun Laoghaire store?

That's just not good enough, NHS cuts to blame so get them to give you a stronger dose next time and your farts will be more effective! Got to admit they have always been quite pungent. Remarkably people lose their jobs apart from one person every single time, stunned that folk can’t see the real problem Would the real problem be in your opinion the family who have invested 100`s of million pounds into the club?

Yes he turned out to be a disastrous appointment. He was a panic appointment after we had been turned down by Flores, Rowett & O’Neil in the desperation to get someone in place. The point I was trying to make was his attempt at turning round the indiscipline at the club, whilst commendable, contributed to the subsequent relegation. All hindsight of course. I have no malice towards him, or any other manager, personally. It seems every appointment from Lambert onwards has had some kind of disciplinary/work ethic issue to sort out. Completely ridiculous. I do wonder what the terms are for a manager relieved of his duties, are they too generous, how many managers come in and give us average results before going into a sharp decline which ends in the sack and a mega payday ?

I mean its getting to a point where they'll think what actually is the point. From their side they'll think we've chucked millions and millions at it. We've kept season ticket prices on frozen prices forever. We gave them 10 years in the prem. We pay away travel.....you get my drift. Yet the fans are never happy and give us dogs abuse. The fans obviously have a slighly different view of it. If I was in their position I'd definitely be thinking long and hard as to whether it was worth the grief. Wouldn't you? If they do i think it will be dark times ahead.

You went didn’t you mate? What did you make of it all? Pretty much same as everyone on here has already said. Was surprised at the questions and a few of mine got through. Quite encouraged that they’re under no illusions that we’re in a scrap and we’ve been shit too. I actually warmed a bit to Martin too which I never thought would happen but still not convinced he’s the man, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone before the end of next season. Schuey is class and knows what he wants I think. If we can get out of danger and have a little run towards the end of the season I’m hopeful with a full pre season we’ll be a much different side next season. (I’ve said this every Feb for five years😂) I have said that for 62 years,

The lads fucked up but come on the sheer Ill feeling towards him is slightly over the top I feel🔴⚪️ I wonder if the Utd fans feel the same towards Rashford, and before anyone says he produces on the pitch, he is doing this season but hasn't for the previous two. We don't know exactly what he has done to be banished. We have had players turn up late for training, miss training or by their appearance on the pitch don't take training seriously, before without this outcry. I'm pretty sure Crouch said he and Glen Johnson could have caught an earlier train to get to training on time but chose to take it easy and catch the later one. Think a few on here are digging a grave for the lad when it may be just be a minor illness and not terminal.

Who was the player, a young academy player who Liverpool enticed to join them and who was left in limbo when the F.A. ruled in Stokes favour and Liverpool fined for poaching. I f my memory is right it was about 15 years ago?

I know the capacity when it closed was 9500 but does anyone know the capacity in.the 50s and 60s. As many as they could get on no real health and safety or counting numbers in them days, I've seen 49 plus thousand in the vic in the 70s so i would say the boothen held at least 15-18 thousand back then. My memory of the Boothen end was against Leeds when we stopped them setting a new unbeaten record, we were packed in like sardines me and my mate were standing behind a barrier when two young girls (17/18 years old) walked past in front of the barrier each holding a beefburger in either hand aloft my mate took a bite out of one of the burgers often wonder if they sussed out what had happened when they started their burgers?

How could he press for the first goal when he is on the bench? Mcnally came on in the 47th minute for Leris, then he just covered his bollocks and turned his head away instead of charging at the shot And when was the first goal scored?

Mcnally needs press quicker for the 1st, and loses dunk for 2nd, piss poor from him. Shouldn't be gifting teams of Brightons quality goals, they must earn it. How could he press for the first goal when he is on the bench?

I think we have to trust Schumacher in who he brings in, some we might not like the look of, but it's his call. From his selections so far, he's got most right. This is why I personally never judge a player based on other peoples opinions. Simply because no matter who we sign there will always be some who moan and have a bad opinion on them. It's always best to judge a player on how he plays for your team..simple as that. Every season there are players who flop at one or two clubs and then absolutely thrive at another. No point writing anyone off until you have given them a chance. Mark Stein for instance.

And where did Pulis join us from? if it turns out as well this time i will be a happy old bugger. He was unemployed the first time wasn't he, the period the above poster was talking about? First time i think he was at portsmouth or had just parted company, second coming was from Plymouth. I was refering to last time we took a manager from Plymouth.
