I hope he stays as captain...assuming he wants to. Nobody else is up to that job. It seems an obvious fit.

What's funny is, we sign someone, they are given a first game almost immediately when they can barely have even met the rest of the team. When they don't set the league alight in the first ten minutes of that game, they are dismissed as being shite. I do sort of understand where this comes from, and it's because we have signed so much shite in the past few years. But sometimes you have to be a bit patient. At least wait until the second half before slagging them off

I’m unconvinced Schuey is the right man for the job but Gareth Ainsworth? FFS.
That article is just clickbait bollox.

Woke up with this tune in my head😀 “Woke up this morning feeling fine…” I was as nervous as ever last night, the worst for a long time. However this morning I feel good.😎 Hate this bloody game🤣😉 That was our biggest game in many years. It’s turned the season, because if we’d lost we were almost certainly down, whereas having won, I now think we will grind out enough points to stay up…just! It doesn’t change much in terms of the problems we have, but it does buy us some time.

The win was not thanks to him Tactically they were superior The manager deserves no credit for today’s 3 points from an unwatchable match The player he wanted and got in the January window Cundle was utterly useless - as he has been in all his appearances so far So by chance we got three points despite of the manager and his poor tactical choices and utterly shite substitutions and not thanks to him Well, being “tactically superior” didn’t do them much good, did it? They can console themselves next season in league one that they were tactically superior when Stoke beat them.

At the level we’ve sunk to, I don’t care how shit the football is, we just needed to win.
We did win.
Thus…with regret…8 from me.

Psychologically- if we lost this, we were going down. If we won it, we’d stay up.
Obviously it’s not quite as simple as that, but I bet I’m right!

Trouble is we did that with AN. And? We’re in a mess.

Maybe Moyes will be available soon? We should have appointed him years ago. Gone are the days where we can recruit managers with premier league experience. I hope Schumacher stays, gets it together, avoids relegation and gets a summer to put his stamp on things. Trouble is we did that with AN.

All we need to do is bring TP back. It will all happen again and a new era of success will dawn.
“Nurse!”
“NURSE!!”
“Yes, he’s doing it again.”

Completely agree with all of this. I’m afraid the current manager does have to go. I like him, but he’s a manager for the good times, which these are not. He lacks experience dealing with the current situation and the current players, and it’s going to relegate us in very short order. We must act NOW, on both manager and recruitment team, while there’s still a chance. If Schumacher can get us through this it could be the making of him. Stick with him. That’s a giant supersized “if”. He’s shown no sign of being able to turn it round. Indeed, it gets worse by the week. We are running out of games.

Schumacher is a rabbit in the headlights 13 goals conceded and 3 scored and 0 points from the last 4 games That’s quite a bill of indictment It’s more than enough to say “it’s not working and it’s not going to work”.

I don’t think it would be about money with TP…He’s not short of a bob or two n probably wouldn’t want the day to day shit of being a manager again…we should probably agree to disagree on this mate Yes there is the issue that he might not want to bother, and probably wouldn’t, but being retired isn’t the issue, that’s my point. He could be not retired and still not want to do it.

He definitely WAS the saviour back in the day. And more than that, he gave us great times. I will be forever grateful. Is he the answer today? No. Some of my best times following Stoke was when TP was manager. I never understand the hatred some Stokies have for him. It was brilliant. I doubt we’ll see such times again in my lifetime but I can live in hope.

Retirement is only ever a matter of how much money you’re offered. I don’t agree Tone is the answer, but if he was, being retired isn’t a barrier. Yes it is mate Money sorts everything in the end.

I'd sack him today and get Pulis in. The players might be absolutely rubbish but Pulis would at least make us harder to beat and give us a better chance of surviving the drop. The same Pulis who’s fucking retired, Jesus Christ🤦🏼♂️ maybe once he’s passed away we could dig him up to replace someone in 2034..let it go he’s gone🔴⚪️ Retirement is only ever a matter of how much money you’re offered. I don’t agree Tone is the answer, but if he was, being retired isn’t a barrier.

This was on the cards, trying to play attacking game while we have no players who can score and leaky defence. Could we honestly expect any other outcome from this system what we're seeing right now? As opposed to the defensive system we played under the previous manager and still lost every week. We’re fucked either way mate. It actually feels like we lost every week less often. Errm…or something.

Noticed Stoke players took part in a motivational huddle (cuddle) pre kick off yesterday.. That worked well 🙄😬🤔 We’d probably have lost 5-1 if they hadn’t.

It's been driving me up the wall since it started, it has to stop, I now predict, (without any reason), the first game they don't do it they will win. 🤣🤣🤣 You can’t honestly believe that? It’s no less plausible than any of the other suggestions about how we might ever win another game.

Of all the things wrong at our club right now, this bothers you? Typical comment from a happy clapper, this nonsense gesture sets the tone of every match we play, the opposition are in the zone ready to go and we are kneeling like a bunch of wets praying at the altar of a discredited organisation. It’s a stupid woke distraction that needs to stop. Spot on.

At this point a reset and watching us being competitive in div 1 may be for the best. Though woth this lot in charge I will pro be watching conference before the decade is out. Looks a lot like snake oil being sold from the top. No No No I wish people would stop saying this. The same was said when we were facing relegation from the Prem. All that’s going to happen is, we will be just as shit but one tier lower. We MUST stay up.

FFS . Tony Pulis hasn’t managed in years, his football was shit to watch, he isn’t, never was the saviour, we need forward thinking, young dynamic people in the club, that’s why we are struggling so much. MODERNISE STOKE He definitely WAS the saviour back in the day. And more than that, he gave us great times. I will be forever grateful. Is he the answer today? No.

I don't disagree at all with all the negative comments - not at all, it's dire but the fact remains that a 'vocally supported' team will always do better on the day - and not when 'they've given us something to shout about'. I've listened to that from Stoke fans for over 60 years. Stoke fans used to have a great reputation at times over the years, for their vocal backing they weren't just 'singing when they're winning'. Yes, I've seen the lack of natural talent or lack of intense effort shown from too many of the squad but you have to stay positive. Kill them with kindness and encouragement, embarrass them to be better. Lack of talent is forgivable. Lack of effort is not.
