Can anyone give me a rational explanation why we are the ONLY team that I am aware of that takes the knee before the game starts ??
All very PC and commendable but why do no other clubs do it ?
Is there a correlation with our league position or are we just shit at football but great at political correctness ?
Would love to know.

It may be symbolic that we are on our knees before kick off and then on our knees during the match but I think we have bigger issues to deal with at the moment.

Of all the things wrong at our club right now, this bothers you? Typical comment from a happy clapper, this nonsense gesture sets the tone of every match we play, the opposition are in the zone ready to go and we are kneeling like a bunch of wets praying at the altar of a discredited organisation. It’s a stupid woke distraction that needs to stop.

Because we are managed by a bunch of idiots and simpletons. The fact that we still do the ‘take the knee gesture’ is as shameful as the football we play and our league position

"happy clapper" in my opinion we are absolutely shit. our owners and his appointments couldnt run a bath, our players are scared of their own shadows, and im starting to question the manager....but, players wanting to take the knee before the game starts does not worry me one bit....why should it?

Because it makes us look a kind and friendly bunch of wets when we need to ooze testosterone and look ready for a scrap. The opposition laugh up their sleeves at us.

Perhaps instead of taking the knee we should do a haka like the All Blacks rugby team do. It might get the adrenaline going a bit more!

It's nearly four years since a crime that has nothing to do with the UK, nevermind football, took place.
In that time the US organisation that this gesture symbolises has been proven fraudulent and criminal, with its opportunist, race-baiting hierarchy investigated for murky accounts.
Quite what any of this has to do with English football games, is exactly my point.
At least could we have some kind of end date announced for this empty gesture. Or is this for next hundred years of football? Has it gone too long that those continuing think they need some kind of exit strategy, for fear of 'offence'?
Here's an idea. Next game, when the whistle blows, take the kick off. It worked for a century.
Personally, if I want to choose to be offended by this, I find it patronising and objectional that there seems to be a need to continually lecture football fans specifically that they shouldn't be racist.

Isn’t it about social injustice. Maybe they are doing it for respect of the fans turning up to watch yet another rubbish performance.

It's an absolute joke.

It's an empty gesture now. It served a purpose for a time. Now it doesn't.
Like most things the club are tone deaf, it needs stopping.

It's basically to appease a very small minority of our woke fan base who are absolute loons who funnily enough, are the first to dig into the club on most things. What have we become. I'm probably more disconnected I've been with Stoke than ever before.

Most organisations realised what a scam it was a long time ago. We can't even do virtue signalling right 😂

The only Stoke player I've seen not take the knee was Pearson before the midweek game after Neil had been sacked. My first thought was that's two fingers upto the core group in the dressing room, the ones that threw his old boss under the bus. I still think it tbh.
