10 a must not lose match and we won, it wasn't pretty but we got the job done. Gouranga.

8.5
Made us more combative especially in midfield.
We won't be scoring too many goals between now and June.
Just win Saturday and go from there.

We won but we were utterly dreadful. Players didn't seem to be following instructions either.
3 points were the main thing but it doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the season

7 - A wins a win, turgid football though. Two awful teams, was hoping for better.

4 a manager who promised attacking football set up to sneak a win against one of the weakest teams in the division. Two wing backs who offer nothing going forward (Junior’s touch is awful), two midfielders trying to support an isolated striker and a defence all over the place first half. The solution was to drop 9 men behind the ball and hang on. Two points deducted for keeping Cundle on and taking Ennis off. Really shocking

8. We scored and then sat back and did what almost every team does - waited for another chance. We almost scored again in the second half. QPR didn’t really have a good opportunity after going behind.
Would have been a 6.5, but he gets a better score given the occasion.

If that's a 10 we're in trouble 6. Horrific performance from two really poor teams. Don't think we were ever going to score from open play, but credit where it's due - vital vital win.

5 for the performance 10 for the result.
What worries me about him is after a bright start and some good performances where we pressed really well and created chances he’s gone into his shell since Birmingham.
I like him a lot and his attitude is great but I’m a little worried that he’s gone into his shell and we’re going to see the same turgid dross we saw with Neil which would be a great disappointment as I liked some of the front football we played in his first half dozen games.
I’m hoping that 3 points today will give us some confidence and we can go back to playing more positively.
The sort of performence we put in today won’t get us many points .

Really shocking Manager who promised to play attacking football found that players are not suitable to play attacking football without conceding 3 goals a game and has to sacrifice his attacking football to get us a win. He could either do what he did tonight and get us a win. Or stick to his guns like Nathan jones did and take us down. Just shows he can take a step back regroup and grind out a win.

4 and I’m being generous
It was a lucky win for which he deserves no credit
Between two shite teams the Gods today chose to regale us with the 3 points
It could have easily been the other way round

The goal was the difference between two awful sides
Why we insist on aimlessly playing the ball forward when have time and space I don't know
Result was more important though. Nice to see 2 efforts on target from corners for a change

I've just upped it to a 9.5 after the very end of his interview he says 'pass it to a red shirt abit more' with a smile.
He said all the right things but he realises we need to be more proactive and it won't last long for fans if we continually hang on at home.
Fully behind him. He's got it.

Huge three points.

Poor out of 10 Particularly poor in the second half, which was surprising given the potential psychological boost we should have received after scoring when we did. Some odd substitutions.. particularly Wes for Ennis. Luckily they were crap. Big 3 points raised it to acceptable but.. there is a definite but. Hopefully the win breeds confidence for him and the team.
*Edit Just to make it clear I definitely like the guy and sincerely hope he gets us back together as a team.. we will see.

Absolutely context is clear At some point we will need to play more expansive football That wasn't the script tonight We still had decent attempts at goal 100% the correct scoreline

7 - Realised he needed to change things around so left a lot of the coaching this week to Gally to work on making us harder to beat and working on set plays.

Think he deserves a lot of credit for tonight. Think people are right to say the football was poor but really disingenuous to criticise it.
We're desperate for results and pragmatic and tough football is needed right now to ensure we get through to the summer.
I'd take 4 more of those right now, starting with Saturday. Absolutely nothing wrong with it in our predicament.
My only worry is if this starts to become a settled lineup and system. I said on the match thread that it was typical we signed a winger and switched quickly to a back 5. The club have let the manager down on that front and should have shifted heaven and earth to get him a proper left wing back and another centre half.
If they did their due diligence on the manager they chased so hard for they would have known he has used a back 5 before with success at Plymouth.
Anyway, a good 8 out of 10. 👍

At the level we’ve sunk to, I don’t care how shit the football is, we just needed to win.
We did win.
Thus…with regret…8 from me.

Playing against a side in decent form, also good away from home - given our current form and absolutely dross home showings - I would say almost the eighth wonder that we won that match.
Also showed the players care and have a bit of fight and are still with the manager - a little bit of relief and a big dollop of hope for all of us tonight.

I've been saying for weeks that we need to play 3 at back with wing backs.
Thompson in middle and millions LWB for Satuday with Baker moving in for Cundle or Bae and jobs a good un.
Wesley is made for sub appearance on 70 regardless winning or losing.

I think people are actually understanding how poor (with exceptions) our squad is and the problems the manager is faced with.
Quality, Mentality and Physicality are the necessary make up ingredients of decent players. We seem bereft of players who you could consider as having a modicum of each.
A well used phrase but in all fairness the guy has to have time to create a squad of players who meet the basics for all three

5 More negatives than positives His formation was poor Played Junior, (who is decent player) out of position was ludicrous. Vidigal who is more of a threat inside instead of the wing was left out? Works his socks off and is our best forward. Jordan T for all is effort is too lightweight for full back. Bonham is a better keeper than Iverson Gooch should have started, so should Wilmot who is by far our best central defender. We were often pegged back by a team who in fairness were better than us for long periods. Positives Good individual performances by Burger, Bae and Ennis and to be fair QPR didn't really trouble our defence.
SS needs to identify our best players and stick with them. We need a settled side. A win is a win so lets hope it improves

Their managers very telling summary
"Today we definitely didn't find the flow that we wanted. Stoke played much lower than they normally do, much more narrow and compact and was not easy for us to beat.
hopefully lesson learned he had to tighten games up

Begrudging 6 from me. It worked but I didn’t like it.
I get that tightening up was necessary but I don’t think it should come entirety at the expense of trying to get forward like it did in the second half.
We won’t win many games in this division setting up like that. Hopefully he realises that and doesn’t try to do the same thing on Saturday.

Wesley is made for sub appearance on 70 regardless winning or losing. The problem is that wingbacks + Stoke City = guaranteed incredibly dour, passive football that at best grinds out results. It’s awful to watch, as it was tonight. That’s been true for all our recent managers and it’s no different for Schumacher. Perhaps we’re at the stage where we’re happy to accept that in exchange for points. But I expected so much more from Schumacher given all his talk about positivity, intensity, and his supposed non-negotiables which he’s taken all of ten games to completely abandon.
