PC has done wonders for the club over the last ten years, but he's just as much too blame for this as Hughes, he could have sacked him in the summer and gone in for someone like Silva and we wouldnt be in this position, as it is we are staring relegation in the face and we are no better now than when Pulis got sacked. He's a Stoke fan he should be able to see what 90% of the fanbase sees I wonder if he's at that age where he just doesn't give a fuck anymore. In the past 5 summers, we've had a net spend of about 20 million, which is absolutely shocking. The club shows no ambition whatsoever to progress. Whoever the new manager is, Coates better back him with significant investment. If not, jut sell the club to someone who will not accept this constant mediocrity.

No mention of the fans, and posts a picture of him smiling. Ridiculous This is the sort of shit that really pisses me off. He clearly doesn't give a single fuck about the result, probably like 90% of them lot. All he cares about is collecting his wage packet. Just Fuck off you prick !!!

Coates will not sack a manager mid season. Hughes needs to do the honourable thing and resign.

This would seem like the most sensible option. But this is yet another manager who'll completely divide the fanbase. If he is genuinely interested, on the one hand we can be certain that he'll keep us in the premier league but at the same time with him one can only expect a dire, turgid brand of hoofball. Some might say if you're going to change manager, might as well go for someone exciting. It depends where your priorities are. Do you want good football or do you want to stay in the division? Personally I'd gamble on the former. I don't think O Neil would divide the fan base. He's not Pulis ! Look no further than the oatcake

It doesn't really matter who comes in Anyone, and I mean anyone could get a better tune out of the squad we have than Hughes! His formations, team selection and player management is nothing short of an absolute shambles. If i had to be pushed for a name, and a realistic one, I'd say Martin O Neil. Or if we could persuade Koeman... This would seem like the most sensible option. But this is yet another manager who'll completely divide the fanbase. The rumour goes that Bowen is responsible for the majority of the training sessions during the week but based on our current performances, it's quite evident that we really just fuck about the whole time and don't get any serious training done. How can they put up with this shower of shite week in week out? They're probably just useless yes-men, incapable of standing up to the manager? I think to some extent the root of the problem from the very beginning is that Hughes (like Pulis) has been given too much power.

There's a hard core of people who dont want him back even though he's been the most successful manager for decades. It is time for some truisms that might offend a few snowflakes on here. The immediate future of the club is at stake. The ONLY option is Tony Pulis. If you don't like it -tough!! The club comes first, not your petty vendettas. I'd rather that we get relegated than have that toxic cunt back.

Massive changes are needed top to bottom of the club. New chairman. New CEO Don't bother with a new Cartwright New manager Excellent You forgot to add new players.

The manager has to leave tonight. I've defended him in the past but it's been obvious since the Man City game that there's something seriously wrong in the dressing room. But that of course doesn't excuse the players and their absolute and total complacency. The back 3 and the goalkeeper have been beyond woeful.

He can fuck off right now for all I care but who do we bring in? There's no way someone like Koeman or Benetiz is going to come to Stoke. Koeman turned down West Ham, a London club, for much bigger wages. He obviously isn't looking for a step down from Everton.

We're a game short of being a third into the season. At this point Swansea look the worst side in the league despite what the table says. Palace look in the shit mathematically but a win next week changes that, lose and it makes their situation much worse and ours much better. West Ham look an absolute basket case. West Brom have a good balanced side in there if they get a good manager in. Huddersfield will struggle. We haven't got a plan. And Everton need a mention. They look absolutely dreadful. I might even add Southampton. Looked totally spineless in the weekend, and in general this season.

Everton have dug themselves into a right hole. WBA could take a number of people like Big Sam, Pardew or O'Neill doubt they would tempt Buck Rogers back. We on the other hand will gamble on Hughes as it's the cheap option then claim it was brilliant management if we get away with it. I'd jump now and take Koeman his closer affinity to foreign players may well suit what we have and he may well be the right man to bring us back up if the worst happens. That is where I think we would lose Hughes he would walk on us if we go down. Koeman will not accept a step down from Everton and Southampton. He will be setting his eyes on one of the Champions league clubs.

Who'd you want to bring in instead? Gary Neville. I'm not even sure if you're being serious. You'd be willing to sack a proven premier league manager who has led us to 3 consecutive top 10 finishes, the highest position the club has ever achieved, and who had us playing some of the best football that most younger fans have ever witnessed from a Stoke team for a completely unproven manager whose only spell at managing in a top league was a complete and utter disaster? The truth is I'd be happy to show Hughes the door if we can bring in a manager who can push us on even further, someone like Martin O'Neil or Benitez both of whom have experience managing teams in the top 6 of the premier league over a period of time. But the truth is no one of that calibre is available so at this moment in time I'm fully behind Hughes and I'd like him to stay. Unlike some other fans on here, I don't take for granted what we have right now. There are a lot more clubs who'd be willing to swap places with us right now then there are clubs who we'd like to swap places with. Don't gamble that away so fast.

A man whose plan B is bringing on a 36 year old Pulis signing after 9 transfer windows. Still no solid centre defensive midfielder. No full-backs. Sent one of our best defenders on loan which is perfect for this formation he's so keen on. Brought in Bera who he can't figure out how to get him scoring. Hanging someone who can score out to dry as a wing-back. We're stale and boring and I really want him to go at some point this season. Who'd you want to bring in instead?

It's not at all clear how much power Mark Hughes has on deciding transfer targets when in reality we have an entire transfer team to do just that. If you recall last season in a press conference when he was pressed on whether Stoke City were after Dortmund's pulisic, he replied by saying "he wasn't made aware of that he was on our transfer list" implying that he doesn't actually set up the list of possible transfer targets and that his only task is to approve the transfer targets, whether he'd be willing to coach them.
It's the transfer team's responsibility to do complete background checks on the players, deciding whether they're really any good. A manager can only do so much.
