Working tonight (when the fucking clocks go back too!) so I was in bed all day. I've seen the goal but how were we in general? Deserved win or lucky? Good response after Bournemouth?

Not great, well taken set piece goal apart we defended very deep dropped off and defended the edge of our box. Pretty fucking awful to watch. That said we had 2 gilt edge chances late on. Overall it was a game better watched on the radio.

Was reminiscent of an away game under Pulis.
Had virtually every player behind the ball and made it very difficult for Watford. They didn't have a single shot on target.
Not fun to watch but we badly needed this type of performance after how we've been doing recently. I'm expecting a better performance next week.

played well not particularly fancy but we needed a win and worked damn hard to get it. Plenty of fire and passion.

Parked the bus, hoofed it long, not pretty at all. Still we got 3 pts but it has papered over a lot of cracks.

A much improved defensive display, but still lots to work on going forward.

Good away performance. We weren't amazing but solid and results like that are the difference between mid table mediocrity and battling relegation. Well done lads

Gritty but poor were the first words spring to mind when i read thread title so thats what am sticking with but at the same time well done to the players who really upped there level of effort, the formation needs scrapping as getting outplayed week in week out aint good for anybody

You didn't even watch the game. We did play well, out played them as a team with passion. Good passing precise and fast movement up field where we should have scored two more. One byBera who had his shot saved by Gomes outstretched studs and one by Adam who hit the post. Ref had a nightmare should have sent Deeney off. Watford did not have a shot on goal and Jack only had two crosses to clear.

From what I saw on a stream it wasn't pretty. But after the recent poor results we have had we desperately needed 3 points today. To get them in an away match against a side who started the day in the top 6 is better than I expected. If I am honest (and remember I am an optimist) I hoped for a draw at best but my heart said we would probably lose today- largely because of our porous defence.
So a win and a clean sheet is exactly what the team and the manager needed after last week and I am delighted. There were a lot of players on the pitch who can hold their heads high after today and the result should do wonders for their confidence and hopefully kick start some better form - and, hopefully a few more comfortable wins in the second quarter of the season.
As an example of how tight this league is this season - had we been awarded and scored 2 of the penalties we should have had lest week, we would be 9th now. I'm not saying we deserved to win last week - just pointing out that something as simple as a more competent ref over 90 minutes could have seen us basking in the top half of the league tonight.

Solid away performance - restricted a high flying Watford to no shots on target. We have played better, but who cares it's 3 points. That and plenty of fighting spirit left in the side

Very Pulis-like I thought. Which given that his players have been sold or have aged, is pretty pleasing.
Makes me think if there’s a battle on this season we may survive.
It’s not progress, but I think we knew that was unlikely once the new signings didn’t work out. Survival is the still the name of the game.
