I liked the Ireland signing. He'll need a few games after being in the wilderness but its basically going to be him or Adam in the starting 11 and then the other to potentially come on for 30 minutes. Good depth in quality for that role.
Marko made a massive impact straight away, very positive. He looks to have a good work rate also (perhaps helped playing for Austria and being under pressure a fair bit?). That free kick though - probably just about caught up with Voyager 1.

"I've played for 3 of the biggest clubs" - he obviously includes us in that list without actually saying it

Indeed - I also thought they'd all been standardised?
So Pat Nevin's "expert" insight is that larger pitch dimensions give more area to play in? Bloody genius.

I'm watching the coverage on the red button. Was it just me or did TP jot something down on his paper and show Chappers when Scholes was chatting about Kightly?

I love watching a game safe in the knowledge that Stoke have secured 3 points earlier!

Swansea have taken two seasons to get a team as good as we have in five. Better surely? A cup and finishing higher than us. H And some bright supporters of ours were singing the "this is what its like when your team wins nothing at all" chant at their place in January. On the eve of their league cup semi 2nd leg (eventual victory) and when they were comfortably above us in the league. Idiots.

Fuck me, some people just can't help but have a dig at people for no reason what so ever, and i'd bet alot of money that the people who call Wilson fat are twice the size of him A lot of them probably are, but they're not professional sportsmen.

Who was the number 34 playing full back? This. Who was that? Keane or Dawson perchance? Nice little drive forward by Muniesa followed by a backward pass. TP would have been going ballistic in the bushes.

Hannover fanHis pace, his ridiculous aerial dominance in both boxes and his natural willingness to defend whenever the ball is lost brought a new quality to Hannover’s attack, leaving it unimaginable how good the Red Devils must be if Diouf didn’t even make it onto the bench. But when it comes to counter-attacking, Diouf is a nightmare for any defence. There is hardly anyone as fast as him in the already fast paced Bundesliga. Plus, Diouf does not fall as easily as so many wimps that contaminate Bundesliga football with their annoying presence. Instead, he uses his body like a buffer stop.
For an often uninspired and tired Bundesliga side producing low quality deliveries, he scored 15 goals and generated 7 assists in 27 league fixtures (as of 9th February 2013). He shot 7 goals in 9 Euro League appearances. He paved the way to the Euro League quarterfinals where he scored in both games against the later Cup Winner Atletico Madrid. While many of his goals are headers, the most astonishing goal was the 20 metres overhead kick against Schalke. But it is not only his goals that make Diouf so extremely popular among 96 fans, it is his inspiring determination and his pure will to run more than anyone else on the pitch. He usually has the most sprints and the highest maximum speed (up to 35 km/h), plus he scores and helps out in his own box if rendered necessary. In a match against Hoffenheim he had 33 sprints. He can be targeted with long balls from the defence or the keeper, yet he comes out on top and delivers the ball to one of the midfielders. If you want my 50 cents worth, there is not a shadow of a doubt that he is our most valuable player, measuring value not in terms of money but in performance on the pitch and the positive West African vibes that have permeated da club since the jovial Diouf joined the squad. Plus, he is not as money-craving and overrated as his American double. He is the real deal. Rumour has it that Jürgen Klopp is aware of that too… All aboard!

Seriously don't see all the hype about him, looked completely out of it on his debut vs Fulham. Just because he's scored a simple goal against a barely average country. Hope he proves me wrong though. Do you always argue with yourself?

Don't think I saw Jon Boy Walters, was he always out of shot balloon chasing? He was told by Hughes to go find a football - but spent most of the session down the road trying to pinch a ball from a couple of young lads. However, they kept skinning old Jon and giving him the run around. TP quickly sensed his young padawan was in trouble and rocked up shouting 'goarn jon, gooooooarn son'.

Hughes: So where did Tony keep the footballs'? Reminded me of that seen in Mike Bassett England Manager where Bradley Walsh gets skinned. 'Took it past me like I wasn't there boss'.

Bloody expensive aren't they? 45 quid for the shirt, 22 for the shorts, 9 for the socks. = 76 On top of which I usually get the PL badges, name and number....approx 10 quid = 86 Plus postage and packaging. Looking at around 100 quid for a strip. Ripoff. AND, I'll be looking at getting both strips for me and the kids. It really is disgusting. I don't bother anymore - and unfortunately I don't bother going a lot of games anymore simply because of the cost. It's completely out of touch.
