The criticism of Denise Coates seems to be gathering momentum in the media. Time for the Bet365 PR team to come out with a charm offensive. I am sure they would mention that even the lowest paid workers at the company earn twice the minimum wage.....don't they?

So Denise could just forgo 2 months salary and donate to charity SCFC and the club will wipe out it's debt ! Holy shit that is an awful lot of money to earn. I am certain no hard line socialist but what the fuck do you do with all that money? I guess just reinvest and see the pile get bigger? Maybe as she is rarely in the media she might be a closet philanthropist.....lets hope so.

I can see a midfield three of Allen Woods Clucas and a front three of Ince Afobe McClean when all fit.....delivering absolutely zip creativity, but hey we probably won't concede many.

I wonder why he was banging them in last season, the season before that, AND the season before that? At worst he had a ratio of a goal every 225mins. It’s very easy to blame the bloke not scoring but maybe look at the 10 other players on the pitch too? I agree it is disappointing and I’m sure there’s crosses coming in that he simply isn’t anticipating but cmon, he hasn’t had 3 good seasons then become shit! Have a word. Maybe the other 10 players have some culpability, but not to include the manager together with his attacking coach in your reasoned post is a bit odd and probably means you will remain wondering why

Nothing will change until the day Rowett realises you can't play a 3 man midfield with no creativity in it. This is an even bigger issue due to how wank we are out wide as well. Yes this is obvious to many but you might just about get away with it if you have a stellar front three consisting of players who can create something out of nothing. We have JM Ince and Afobe. Only Ince at a stretch is an instinctive finisher and can create. Afobe needs service and JM is just a head down run with the ball and his career stats suggest barely any goals. Other options are Diouf (woeful finisher) and Berahino who I am not sure what sort of player he is but rarely even gets into scoring positions through a lack of reading the game and a strikers instinct. It is a real problem but the manager has to change the system, Afobe has pedigree at this level and so does Ince, why are they not scoring in Rowett's team? So in the last five games goals have come from an o.g. from a cross, a smart direct free kick from Allen and Fletcher showing the front 3 where they should be in the box in order to finish. Add to this the paltry number of shots compared to the opposition and it's hard to see things getting better without radical change in personnel or system. The three arguably best attacking displays this season have come away to Rotherham and Sheff wed and home to Bolton. All three games were lineups without James McClean.

Now you are just being silly. A win is a win but the standard of the performance at least provides an indicator of what might follow. Keep playing like we did away to Norwich and we'll lose more than we win, or at least draw more than we win or lose because neither team deserved anything other than a 0-0 in that game. We aren't playing in a fashion that convinces anyone other than you that a lengthy run of good results is around the corner. We simply aren't playing very well in games as our chance creation and shots tally prove on a weekly basis. We need to improve and we need to improve both drastically and quickly. I'm really not, moaning about a win against the in form side in the league away from home is silly. Negative, negative, negative... Yep that pretty much sums up Rowett's approach to games....negative...his football has midtable wriiten all over it. No doubt you will be happy with that.

Interesting to see if he will be stood silent tomorrow at 3 pm or will he walk out at the city ground as the minutes silence is taking place. Or will he be sat down on the bench. Forest fans will be on his back straightaway. Puts the rest of the squad under pressure. Must be great being in the squad having to put up with his opinions. If he starts will he stand shoulder to shoulder with the lads on the centre circle in silence paying respects. I am thinking he will emulate his hero Sands and do a dirty protest. Hopefully it will be an Alan Patridges chocolate mousse covering not the....err you know what I mean stuff. 😀

3 things predicted by some before he put pen to paper but were questioned by pseudo intellectuals... He's a shite footballer and will offer nothing on the pitch It will all kick off late October over his 'beliefs' He'll drag the name of Stoke City through the mud All correct at the time, all avoidable, all very sad. Its not even with hindsight, many of us had seen and heard enough to know when he signed that it would turn out thus. I am a tad surprised that he has been such a twat over the whole episode. I expected him to keep reasonably quiet. Yep there were a few on hear who somehow thought it would work out and his performances on the pitch would eventually all have us loving him. It's been an absolute shitstorm. It's another glaring example of calamitous management by everyone one involved in this transfer. Surely there was someone in the clubs hierarchy who thought hang on a minute lets think about it. We have this pantomime for another 4 fucking years starting all over again on saturday. I despair

So we are going to go through this pantomime again on saturday. So how is our IRA loving green hoop jersey wearing favourite mr nice guy going to handle another minutes silence? a) Another stroll along the touchline while all others show respect? b) Stands there but picks his nose for the full minute? c) Conveniently needs the shitter thus missing the event? Can't wait to find out

He did what a lot of fans did who arrived during the min silence ,he walked to the dug out in silence but some people just want to make out he was doing cartwheels and waving a IRA flag . Also I wouldn't be happy if fans where calling me a terrorist ,also how many people have no issues with that knob Corbyn getting all pally and close with terrorist's supporters also how many people supported Mandella who I agree was a great man but had terrorist links, if we want we can find something to beat anyone with ,he thanks the stoke fans for supporting him, he dropped a clanger with his quote the day after ,though I agree with the caveman quote. Maclean dropped a bollock by doing what he did because he just gave the fans who just want to give him grief more ammo to do this. Also someone said they heard no singing quoting fuck the IRA etc ,are you deaf ? Mclean should have just ignored it because I am sure he is well used to it . Matic apparently did it the right way by saying nowt , Mclean said nowt until he was given shitload of abuse ,had a flag waved at him and things thrown at him .but again its just an excuse to give him more grief . If he plays this weekend then has a stoke player he will get my support even if he is not playing to well at the min (I think Ince is worse ),I really don't give a shit what he does after he takes his top off . And the reason McClean couldn't walk out with the rest of the substitutes and coaching staff is what exactly? He's an attention seeker who should decide whether he wants to be a political activist or a professional footballer. My thoughts exactly he couldn't have danced his way along the touchline so he obviously timed his appearance in order to make a point. Anybody with any respect for a minutes silence stop what they are doing and reflect isn' that the point? Of course it's his choice but he is a grade 1 dickhead and if I were Coates I would be on the phone to Celtic arranging a loan in January even if we pay his wages....it would be McClean's dream move

As long as he did this quietly, not sure what the problem is. He deliberately showed disrespect to people who gave their lives for our democracy Just out of interest was he walking with the other subs? If not where were they?

I really dont think the PL authorities or indeed the so called big 6 give a toss about how uncompetitive the league is. As long as the viewing right continue to increase in value and the top players around the world flock to the Prem then they won't want to upset the very unbalanced competition.Only when the paying public wake up and realise there are no edge to these games and stop watching will the PL do anything about it. I don't watch much PL for obvious reasons but I will always give a ManC v Burnly, a Liverpool v Soton or a Chelase v Fulham game etc a very wide birth. There is absolutely zero entertainment in 5-0 6-1 5-1 games.

To stand any chance in the promotion shake up will now have to be averaging 2 pts per game for the remaining 30. Very unlikely and looking at the next 7 I can't see past 4 draws 2 wins and a defeat, meaning 10 pts and falling further back. Unless the manager is prepared to be more adventurous, we are looking at around 65pts and midtable Wow! Playing 3 teams in the relegation mix and you feel we won’t beat them? 2 wins and a draw I don't recall saying we wouldn't win any games...check my post

Seems like many posters have seriously downgraded their expectations and now accept mediocrity as decent. Yesterday was a game we really should haven been more adventurous and had to be as we are playing catch up. Christ a TP side playing away had the best chances. Way too scared to go more offensive until it was too late. Rowett has shown he is an ultra conservative manager which cost Derby promotion last season (too many drawn games and a timid playoff at home where he benched his top scorer). History is likely to repeat itself for Rowett even with a generous supportive board behind him. Get used to this league 3 from me.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46076839I guess he still thought he was in the UK where the police can't be arsed with assault unless it has a 'hate' or 'racist' motive then they are all over it. Alas the sentence is likely to be overturned on appeal. Violence rarely goes punished these days. What happened to the cricketer who floored a couple of guys outside a nightclub? Presumably fuck all as he is playing for England in Sri Lanka.

Well the perspective from 'over the pond' here in the USA from following UK press is that nothing of the UK will exist after Brexit so maybe the premier league will have to relocate to the US Seriously though everyday there is a story in the press about how bad it's going to be post Brexit....Housing Market collapse, food shortages, the cost of EVERYTHING is expected to rise, increase in crime due to no euro co-operation, isolated on an overcrowded island unable to travel because UK airlines not allowed over EU airspace, so no shite holidays in Benidorm, lack of investment in the UK will mean future pensions will be worthless.....I could go on. And some are worried about a trivial thing like football?

Not really. Sol Campbell was (like him or not) one of the best defenders of his generation. Everything he has said after retirement is complete horse shit though. However, here's his chance to prove us wrong.... regardless of race etc. Just because he was a very good footballer doesn't guarantee he has the skills for mentoring and teaching young kids. There is much more to their development than just kicking a ball. I have heard enough of Sol Campbell since his retirement to be concerned about his coaching ability, there is a reason why he has never got a coaching/management role and it's because the guy is a complete arse.

Martina is injured so he has no choice other than the outcast Bauer. Credit though for heaving JM and the front 3 immediately looks more potent.

Disappointed for Paul Hurst who did a great job at Shrewsbury and even a few on here had mentioned his name for us Football management is like many things in life, people eventually find their level. Hurst probably back to Div 1 Lambert and Rowett will spend much of their career in the Champs Hughes and Pulis long careers in the top flight and Pulis looking like he will be back there. as for Lambo I wish him well, absolutely shite manager and likely to be hugely unpopular with the yokels at Ipswitch. Brave call by the Ipswich board or have they been drinking too much Adnams or Aspalls, both I have to say suit my taste buds very well.

Is it rowett? 2 managers have tried and failed to polish the turd that another manager created Watch other teams play and create chances and actually defend, all with players you've never even heard of, our squad is just names There's no "should be higher up the table" this team is exactly where they should be, sacking rowett won't solve anything unless he takes 50% of the squad with him Make no mistake this is Rowett's team...his transfers, his chosen players and his tactics. I am sick of hearing about the past...there are only 4 players from our prem era who are playing regularly under Rowett, time to find more plausible reasons hwy we look even worse than last year.

Bizarrely there are still posters who try and deflect the blame for such abysmal performances away from Rowett and 100% on the players. The bottom line is...this has been Rowett's team for a number of weeks. If he shose his preferred starting xi in his preferred 4-3-3, there would only be Butland Bruno Eric and Allen from last season, the rest are his picks.....It's HIS team The worrying and rather telling fact is there's hardly any player (maybe Pieters and Ince) who looks remotely like they belong in a top half championship team. They really can't all be under performing, for me the manager and his posse of coaches really are not up to the job.

I am hoping that it's 4-4-2 as berahino is certainly not a creative no10. Actually I don't really know what he is anymore, not a no10 and not a instinctive striker. with a 4-4-2 he might provide some company for Afobe. But christ the team has no creativity
